Griddlers Victorian Picnic is rated 2.1 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so easy and that is a good thing. Another good griddler game. I will admit it is a little hard to see as there is little contrast in some scenes. However, I like the concentration. I went back and bought some of the older ones recently. Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Challenging I had cancelled my game account because I just wasn't enjoying games anymore. They all seemed to be the same game. However, I just reinstated my account so I could buy this particular griddler. I know the ratings are low on this, but I really liked this griddler. The 8 Floor griddlers are among the most challenging, and that is because they don't have multiple colors. They have made some changes though, such as showing completed puzzle images so you know what you solved. It's not so easy to tell what some images are since there are no additional colors, but at least the guesswork has been eliminated now. They still don't bother with a storyline, which is why I gave the game a 4 instead of a 5. I know some players would like additional colors. The puzzles would certainly be easier. When there are different colors, it makes the puzzle more visually appealing, but unless you have trouble distinguishing colors - which I sometimes do - having additional colors generally makes the puzzle easier. So, it's good that these griddlers are available for people who really want a challenge. If I don't want a challenge, I'll play a griddler with multiple colors or solitaire, but if I want a challenging griddler, 8 Floor is one of the best for that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hate having to guess! Like other reviewers have mentioned, there is guessing involved in some of the puzzles, which is really frustrating. The 2nd puzzle had one spot that had to be guessed. Not a big deal. And then I completed a whole bunch of puzzles with no guessing and thought maybe the other reviewers got it wrong. But then I got to the 17th puzzle, and probably 90% of the board would have been guesses. I also will not be finishing the demo. Completely pointless to play a logic game that you can't solve with logic. And like others have said, the white numbers against the gray background is hard to see, especially once they've been crossed off. But my biggest problem with the numbers is that the font they used makes the number 1 look an awful lot like the number 7.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It Isn't A Picnic If You Have To Use A Hint Or Guess On Some Puzzles Instead Of Using Logic This game is no different than the ton's of other games offered by this developer. The features are all the same, the music is the same, even the grid sizes are the same. All they change from one game to the next, is the scenery and the images the grids make. My biggest complaint is that just during the demo alone, there were two different puzzles that couldn't be solved using logic alone, which is what these games are supposed to be about. In order to finish these two puzzles, I had to use the Hint Feature, or I could have chosen to "guess" which is a super big No-No in the griddler world! The idea behind this type of puzzle is to either fill in or cross off square tiles in a grid of a specific size. There are numbers or sometimes groups of numbers located on all columns and rows, which indicate how many cells must be filled in, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one crossed off cell. Each filled in cell contains a coin, and some of them contain bonus coins which can be used to buy extra hints, refill hints on the current level, or rights to make three mistakes instead of 2. You will earn three gold stars, and a star is deducted for each mistake made. There are 7 Beginner tutorial levels, and one Expert level available to learn or brush up on your Griddler Mosaic skills, and there are 6 Rooms in the Adventure mode which offer 20 griddler puzzles in each room. There are Trophies to earn as well, and any puzzle can be replayed as often as you want, to try to earn a better score. Personally, I have to replay the puzzle if I make a mistake, which always seems to happen right at the very end of the puzzle.. There just isn't any incentives in this game that make me want to purchase it, or even use a coupon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to see I love griddlers/nonograms/whatever you want to call them. This particular game, though, is very hard to see as the numbers are a faint white against a very light background. There is no "story" content or any educational commentary. And after playing only a few levels, I've already been forced to "guess" (which shouldn't happen in this type game) or buy hints. While I usually buy griddler games, not sure I want to strain the old eyes on this one! Cannot recommend it to anyone with vision issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Neutral Palette, Neutral Rating Since this is one of my favorite types of game, I enjoyed playing the demo. But. The very neutral palette (soft grays, taupes) made it a little annoying to play. I don't prefer peering at my screen in order to read the numbers and play the puzzle. A little contrast would make it much more enjoyable! Otherwise, a good game!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Late!! I played the demo and thought fun but after purchasing the game I wish I had read all of the reviews. I am so sorry I went ahead a bought the game. It is just to difficult to proceed in levels with the dull lighting of the numbers and only allowed two mistakes. I will not recommend it to anyone. In fact I just lost my money and will not purchase any more games from this line.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boring Another backward step in griddler/mosaic games. I absolutely hate (did I say HATE) that swishing sound. I know I can turn it off but I want to hear something. One color? Let's get to at least four. Now the background crossed off squares are darker than the picture. Would like to have some of the more unrecognizable pictures named, especially when the Xs predominate. I'll wait for the next batch of penguins, thank you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from griddlers victorian picnic the light colors behind the puzzle make seeing the game very hard--number 7 and 1 look alike==I do really like the mosiac or grid puzzles

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not New Again! I was so excited to see a griddler as a new release until I realised that I had already played more than half of it a very long time ago! It's a very poorly made puzzle game. A lot of guessing and hoping you choose the right square. That is not solving a puzzle at all. I would not recommend this game. What is happening at BF!! Used to be that a New Release meant it was a game you hadn't seen anywhere else.
