Atlantic Quest 3 is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Addictive! Incredibly poor dialogue, incredibly fun to play M3! Came here to buy as soon as I finished the demo. A choice between three different ways to play and near the end of the demo it became challenging for me to complete the board quick enough to earn all three stars in the more usual swap and match mode I played in. I do enjoy some challenge throughout a M3 game rather than just in the final levels so that seals the deal for me! I'm looking forward to playing this game through in all three ways (which I consider good value, too!). I highly recommend that you give it a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally another Atlantic Quest I love these type of games when you need a break from gloom and doom and just want to have fun. Loved the previous Atlantic Quests and jumped at getting this one. The graphics are good, music isn't intrusive and love Sparky and the gang. Downside: Have to agree with another reviewer re the window mode. I like to play in that mode myself so I have my start icons up so I can check E mails. Screen in window is very small so play in full screen which really isn't that big of a deal and certainly doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the game. Some changes on this one where instead of just match three and breaking the fish bubbles you can accumulate pearls to purchase buildings which is a nice change. Here's hoping for an Atlantic Quest 4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FUN, FUN, FUN LOVING THIS 5 STAR LITTLE GEM. VISUALS ARE EXCELLENT WITH THE NICEST MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND. I'M ON LEVEL 12 AND IT'S GETTING A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW CHALLENGING ARE THE REST OF THESE PUZZLES... I TRULY RECOMMEND EVERY MATCH 3 LOVERS TO TRY THIS GAME.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What A Wonderful Surprise! I could hardly wait to jump into this sweet fishy world. What a joy to find another Atlantic Quest game after such a long wait. I have no doubt it will be as much fun, if not more, than our last one. It has always been one of my most loved Match 3s. Rebuilding their little city is only half the fun. It isn't just your common, every day type Match 3. It has lots of extra goodies to enhance your play time. And more extras have been added. Don't pass this one up folks! It is one of the best Match 3s in the Big Fish inventory. It will appeal all Match 3 lovers, I think, of all ages and has tremendous replay value, not to mention all the great levels. You won't be disappointed! Definitely 100 stars!! God Bless....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything's Better Down Where It's Wetter Take it from me folks, this is a really fun Match 3 game the entire family can enjoy. Atlantic's favorite heroes have returned to rebuild an underwater oasis, which can be played in all three types of Match 3 games. You can even switch back and forth between the traditional Swap Match 3, Chain or Group Match 3 where you click and drag horizontally, vertically and diagonally, or click on groups of 3 or more identical tiles. The goal is to make matches over all Sand covered tiles and heal all fish that are inside bubbles by matching those tiles. You can earn up to 3 stars depending on the time it takes you to complete the level goals. You earn pearls for each level that is used to purchase new houses, Fisherman's Huts, Forges and even Farms. Some of the buildings you purchased have a Mini Game available when you click on them such as locating 10 hidden fish, or finding fragments to assemble a power-up bonus. Some sand tiles are covered in Moss, requiring two matches on them, and as you progress, there are Oil filled tiles and Lava tiles that will spread or multiply if you don't make matches on them quickly. There are the usual obstructed tiles with Chains, Stones, and Crates, which require matches made next to them or matches made of the same item trapped inside. When you make a match of 4 or more Tentacles, you will earn an Octopus Bomb which will explode when clicked, to destroy surrounding tiles. Other power-ups are unlocked when you collect their symbols by dropping them off of the board. The Hammerhead can destroy a single tile of your choice, the Bow shoots an arrow to destroy an entire row, Blowfish Bombs destroy all tiles in a square area, and the Laser Gun shoots lightning bolts to destroy random tiles. Fish in Bubbles are replaced occasionally wit Hard Cases that need special elements to heal them by matching 4 objects inside orange bubbles, Zombie Fish are aggressive fish that will need to be released quickly or they will pollute the water, and then there are the Major Problem Fish that require several Match 4's to heal them. This is one of those games that you'll want to play over and over, and with 96 available levels, it should be a decent length, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Atlantic Quest 3 I agree it is difficult to get three stars on every level, but you can go back and try again. You can also skip the story. It is a cute game for all ages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A buy for me, but -- I finished the trial version and will be purchasing the game. I agree with all the good stuff others have written here. But, I also agree with feanas in that if you play in widowed mode, it is a very small window. The dialogue and instructions are virtually impossible to read. Not only is the font small; but it's white, which doesn't help with the readability at all. I also prefer to play in windowed mode, but can't do it with this game - and I have really good eyes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 'Ran out of ideas?' I did enjoy playing this game apart from the fact I finished developing the scene after 33 levels. It just has a finish flag and the pop up 'developers ran out of ideas for buildings'. Seriously? I understand they are trying to be glib but it stinks of laziness especially as there are 100 levels available. Maybe another scene: Queeny loves what you have done and asks to develop another run down area/s perhaps? Also what was the point of the hidden object scenes, these could of been far more integral and useful to the game play. The idea of the extra fish was good and I liked it, rather stressful when trying to get rid of the little blighters in the 3 star time limit. I also liked the option to change type of match 3, gave a personal option to the game. I liked the basic game play, which is why I originally bought it but the end completely lets it down due to lack of completion from the developers. As there is no need to I will not play the rest of the levels, which is a shame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GOOD GAME, BUT..... This is a fun game - good graphics, good storyline, not very challenging (will suit most levels of players), but - it's too short! When I play any game there needs to be a goal to aim for. In this case, you reach the end goal quite quickly, and after that you're just playing for the sake of playing. I found it rather unsatisfying, and deleted the game after I played to the end in quite a short time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost impossible to win A new Match 3 game is always a treat so after playing the demo and 'enjoying' the challenge I decided to take advantage of yesterdays' Half price sale. I found the game really difficult to achieve more than one of the possible three stars. Other than exploding octopus bombs, gained by matching four of them, no other power up is available until the Forge has been built and then a Hammer allows you to take out one square or obstacle. After that an Arrow tool takes out one line, a Puffer fish bomb takes out a goodly section and a Laser takes out a column and a row simultaneously. All power ups are limited to the three which are achieved by dropping their icons off the field by matching below them. There is no chance to gain any more by four matches etc. I finished this game to the best of my abilities after a few hours play. At the end is the sad confession from the devs that they simply ran out of ideas for more buildings so there is no point in continuing for me. The graphics are brilliantly done although mega tiny and the music was boring orchestral more like a film theme. The option to be able to change game style during the game in progress was a bonus but I am not a fan of either chain or collapse so never really tried them. All in all a game to pass the time but I personally prefer more rewards for five matches of anything, more power ups and then a chance to upgrade buildings more than once. Put in some more variety, bigger graphics and a better soundtrack and it would be better.
