Popper Lands Colony is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun popper play - ignore the story Its a fun, time-eating popper. Not very difficult but a great relaxing game with a few interesting popper twists The visuals and storyline are sad at best so just ignore them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from storyline tied to bubble popper This, to me, is a fine game. I can actually succeed at popping the bubbles. I had no difficulty of any kind with it. I suppose the game is aimed at a younger audience but as I get older and my reaction times are not what they once were, it is pleasant to find a game that I can actually play without frustration. Having a storyline tied to the popping gives a reason to play.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bubble popper game to relax with Even with the bare-bones graphics, I really liked this simple little game. And as you can see from the screenshots, it's not a true Match 3, it's a bubble popper game. The story line is very basic and with minimal dialogue, so there's not a lot of reading You can play in three different modes. I played in Relaxed' It has non-invasive cheery music. There's a "Voice" option if you want to hear someone cheering you on as make fantastic moves There's an option to use your own system's cursor, so there really is no cursor problem as someone mentioned As you win gold, you buy items to build your village. Diamonds earned are used to buy additional power-ups Playing with Windows 10, I had no issues at all with this game, and bought it after playing for 25 minutes. I really enjoyed sitting back with a cup of tea and playing in 'Relaxed' mode. But when I feel a bit more adventurous, I'll be trying my hand at the 'Timed' and 'Challenge' modes as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from AT LAST, A NEW MARBLE POPPER It's a fun game, with a few negatives. First, the voice - it's appalling! We're not 5-year-olds being encouraged to play better, and the school-teacher voice will drive you nuts. Fortunately it can be turned off, and should be! The other disappointment is that you can't replay levels to get a better score. Other than those two things, I'm enjoying playing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Decent Marble Popping Game But........ I probably would have purchased this game, but there were two features that convinced me otherwise. The biggest problem I had while playing this game was that I had no mouse cursor to guide me, but that could just be a glitch of incompatibility with my computer for whatever reason, I'll give it the benefit of doubt. I had to move my mouse around until the icon I needed to choose, would light up for me to click on it, such as the play icon, or even to "buy" a new building, or simply exit out of the game, but I got pretty good at guessing where the cursor was. The second feature I disliked was the annoying voice giving me shoutouts for combos, "great job" or "awesome combo" just got to be annoying after a couple of levels. The gameplay itself is pretty simple, aim your cannon located at the bottom of the screen, and shoot the ball using the Left mouse button, to make matches of at least 3 identical colors to remove all the balls. Right clicking will swap the first colored ball with the second ball, but it doesn't necessarily give you a different color, or one you actually need at the time. To earn all three stars, you will need to complete the level goals within a limited number of moves, but there is no time limit. You can opt for a Relaxed mode that has unlimited moves instead of the Challenge, limited moves mode, and there is an Expert mode that has limited move AND you don't get any of the Power-ups either. Once you remove all of the balls, you still need to hit the gold chunks at the top to win the game but if you play strategically, you can hit the gold and remove a group of balls at the same time. As you progress, obstacles are added to make it more challenging such as removing Diamonds by making matches above them so they fall, Ice Balls turn balls into ice when they are touched, Metal balls also need matches above them, and the Rotating Wheels will turn with each move until they are removed by making matches above them until they fall. Power-ups are eventually earned, such as the Joker Rainbow Ball which can be used as a wild card that matches any colored ball. I didn't finish the demo, so I'm not sure if other power-ups are offered in the demo. The balls that are released will fall into different barrels at the bottom, which will earn you points. Those points are used to build a city with the typical buildings and decorations such as sawmills, houses and a City Hall. This game is similar to Panda Pop, it's a really fun game, but because I couldn't use my cursor, it was a frustrating endeavor, enjoy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost bought without trying the Demo to prove we need more variety I'm such a fan of marble popper that isn't the Luxor variety. Watching the video, I was sold. Really wanted a new Fairy Jewels, but this is more of a FJ 2. I didn't mind the voiceover telling me 'good job' but not sure why she would tell me 'good combo' when I missed a shot. Played the demo in expert and 3 starred without each level without much effort. Hopefully it will find a new generation that will prove a need for something other than the same ole HOG's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slow, disjointed, but good bones in there Definitely a kids' game. I liked the theme that they presented -- a new colony, building from the ground up, etc. -- but the order in which the buildings are built is nonsensical (but as I'm also a reenactor, I think about things like that). The music (more on some levels than others) is annoying and has nothing to do with the game theme. The constant "wow!" and "awesome combo!" in a child-like voice is also extremely annoying, repetitive, and nowhere near in keeping with the game. Fortunately, music and voice can be turned off. I found the actual bubble-popping mechanics enjoyable, though, so might pick this up during an appropriate sale or with a game credit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time or money. Always looking for a change from the depressing HO games, so I was pleased to see a new Match 3. So boring and childish. As one reviewer has already said, the school teacher voice is annoying. It is also a very slow moving game. Not a winner for me!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boring With so many really good mosaic games out there, the developers really need to step up their game. Who ever made this game did so in 5 min, or is stuck in 2005.
