1001 Jigsaw World Tour: Asia is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheers For World Tour Puzzles...I Love Them! Being a huge fan of all Asian history, this set of puzzles is a happy discovery! I don't see it as ONLY 500 puzzles. That's a lot of hours of fun and relaxation. And I certainly can't afford to buy 500 puzzles to assemble at my kitchen table! I love the assortment offered and the colors are beautiful. Was really pleased with the new music, very appropriate. Hope future puzzles will have music matching the theme, too. It is a very welcome change. The features in this set are great and I enjoy challenging myself to earn the trophies. Another feature I love is being able to save the puzzles I want to work and get them all set up for when I am ready to assemble, by choosing the background color and completing the border. Usually I tweak the puzzle I choose as much as possible (shape and number of pieces) to create the greatest challenge possible. Sometimes it is a really dumb idea, depending on the puzzle subject! So I'm ready to dive into my romp through Asian beauty via this lovely set of puzzles. How sweet it is! New World puzzles and Bonus Punch Monday! God Bless....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Still Don't Understand Why It's Called 1001 Jigsaw World Tour If There's Only 500 Puzzles???? It's no secret, I'm a jigsaw puzzle freaky geek, my favorite series is 1001 Earth Chronicles because I prefer the earthy nature type picures. This puzzle has a large variety of Asian themed puzzles, ranging from Koi fish in a pond to delicious plates of Sushi. You can even choose a resolution that will make the pictures pop on your computer screen. There are 5 different boxes available, and each box contains 100 puzzles. You can earn Trophies for reaching goals such as playing a certain amount of hours, joining up to a million pieces, scoring a certain amount of points, solving a puzzle without making a mistake, solving various sized puzzles, or solving a puzzle without using hints, sorting, or pocket features. There are also Top Scores and personal Best score tallies. Any of the puzzles can be modified with the number of pieces, the cut shape of the pieces and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. There are 4 different backgrounds to choose from, pink, green, blue and grey, a box to store extra pieces until needed, a Sort option a Border only option, a Hint option and an available Magnifying glass to enlarge pieces. You can also ghost the image of the puzzle to the background or hang a picture in three different sizes. In the last edition, World Tour America, they changed the background music for the first time ever, to a native american type soundtrack, and this one has Asian themed music, which is so much better than the previous soundtrack that is offered in just about all puzzle themed game. The pictures are beautiful, but they aren't really my personal cup of tea. Lately I have been hooked on an older puzzle game called Jigsaw Mania which offers puzzles in just about every shape imaginable. My favorite puzzle shapes are small squares that snap together, which is so much more fun. You can also download your own personal photos. Wouldn't it be nice if these devs offered features like that, or anything different than these cookie cutter versions? Enjoy my fellow puzzle geeks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I want to like this I love jigsaw puzzles, and regularly play them online. This game has some gorgeous pictures, many of which I'd like to solve. But I've never been able to play any of 8 Floor games jigsaws, which is a shame. The cursor has a little sparkly trail, even if you turn off the game cursor in Options. The pieces cast shadows when you move them, which cannot be turned off. The connected pieces give a little jump when you connect a new piece, which also cannot be turned off. And when you finish a puzzle, the pieces in it start flashing at you. All these effects combined give me a massive headache. So, after trying one puzzle to see if 8 Floor has corrected these faults that have been present since the very first jigsaw game they released, or at least put in an option to turn off the special effects, I have deleted the game. Just as an fyi, while solving that one puzzle, I ran into a visual bug. Part of the completed section appeared disconnected from the rest of the puzzle with no way to move it over. It did reconnect as I completed more of the puzzle, but it was disconcerting to say the least. (Though this did not affect my evaluation, I also have to wonder why this is called 1001 Jigsaw where there are only 500 puzzles.)
