Rated 5 out of 5 by from An absolutely beautiful game!!!! Never have played this series. I was immediately taken by the beautiful graphics. Thought they were magical and I could look at them over and over. The sound was interesting and varied. These are 2 things that are important to me in a game. Game play was fairly straightforward and not too difficult. VO's were excellent. The story started off like many do with an accident but it has its own twist and is fun. So far puzzles are fairly easy. Don't expect the most challenging game you have tried. Just enjoy all that it has to offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~PLAY A PHENOMENAL HOPA THAT'LL TAKE YOU ON AN ADVENTURE YOU WON'T FORGET~~ This is the 3rd installment of Midnight Calling where you step into a world that’s slowly tumbling towards disaster and must do all you can to stop the disaster from happening. I really enjoyed the expertly crafted hidden object scenes and puzzle sequences as you progress through the game. Midnight Calling: Valeria is an incredible hidden object game that came out quite recently but has already managed to receive quite a lot of critical acclaim from tons of different players (trending on social media). The game’s worth playing because it comes quite close to perfection. The gameplay is engaging, the game world is immersive and the plot is very well thought out. Aside from a few negligible flaws, this game is truly immaculate. In Midnight Calling: Valeria, you’ll have to enter a world that’s slowly drifting into chaos. The world is rapidly cooling down and if the temperature keeps decreasing at this rate then the world won’t remain for much longer. You’re the only one who seems to possess the bravery and power to stop this disaster from happening so you must go against all odds to stop the disaster from happening before it is too late. The gameplay of Midnight Calling: Valeria doesn’t really try to innovate all that much but, in spite of this, it’s still some of the most fun I’ve had in a hidden object game. The hidden object scenes are all very well designed and there’s a mix of list based and silhouette based scenes for you to play through. The game also has a variety of unique hidden object scenes that offer a nice change of pace from the usual gameplay such as those in which you have to find items in pairs of two or those that are split into multiple different parts. On top of the high quality hidden object scenes, Midnight Calling: Valeria features an enormous array of unique mini-games and puzzles for its players of every level to enjoy. You’ll get to do tons of enjoyable things like completing tile swapping puzzles, arranging runes in specific orders, placing spheres in the correct locations, arranging circles so that they match with symbols and, alongside these, there are various other mini-games as well so the gameplay won’t ever feel repetitive as you make your way through the game. It’s worth mentioning that some of the puzzles can be a tad bit challenging and if you ever get stuck on these then there’s a useful skip button that you can utilize to keep progressing further. While the gameplay of Midnight Calling: Valeria is extremely engaging, perhaps the game’s biggest highlights are its top of the line visuals. The game world is massive and every single environment is packed with detail. The character designs are absolutely spot-on, the special effects are breathtaking and the dark color palette adds a certain mystique to the visuals and this makes the experience quite immersive. Midnight Calling: Valeria is an immersive hidden object game that comes incredibly close to perfection thanks to its magnificent visuals, top notch plot and of course the brilliant gameplay. This well-deserved Editor Choice edition is one you must play. I highly recommend!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Entertaining Even In The Trial I was delighted that a trial version was not so "empty" this time. There were so many collectibles, morphs, and variety of tasks. The HOPs were unique and very interactive, so much fun when a challenge is thrown in. I had trouble with one of them though because it was so dark and it slowed me down. The one I really enjoyed was having to find pieces of a "painting" instead of your typical hidden objects. It was a little tricky and I liked it a lot. I thought the graphics and the music were nicely done. The storyline was interesting enough even though I don't normally care for snowy scenes, I like lots and lots of colorful scenery. The castle interior contained many fantastical things. The chained door was kind of creepy as were the knights. It was such a busy, visually attractive game and the little bird added a sweet touch. I have been on the fence about purchasing this game, but after playing the trial version, I decided to go for it. Just have to wait for the right sale opportunity to come along. I try to make my reviews as helpful as possible though it's harder on a trial...so I want to thank the gamers who also write good, informative reviews. It really takes the pain and guesswork out of shopping. God Bless....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it so far! I was one of the ones that got to review the game before it ever went on the market. I loved it then... and, before I played the CE that just came out...I went back to play the survey that was being tested...just to see if there was any changes. I love most of " Elephant Games"... Let's just make this clear! I love the "fairytale Games"! I love to sit back and enjoy the games I play. Even though. I have many, ghoulish, bloody, evil and down right sickening games! I just LOVE when they come out with a GREAT game that is. "Maybe" a fairytale and yet just enough suspense of an evil person to throw a wrench into the fairytale world. I wish more, DEV'S would make much more of these type of games! YES! I will be purchasing this game.... YES! I recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAVE THE WORLD FROM GLOBAL COOLING Game three of the Midnight Calling series is here and it is such a good game! In another wintry delight this time our heroine Valeria is off to save her world from an icy blast that is sure to destroy everything in its path. It seems like someone has cast a spell that has gone awry and now Valeria must travel back in time to prevent the error from ever happening. The graphics are beautiful and, yes, icy but perfect for a cold and rainy day here in California. All, or at least most, developers are now offering a custom mode of gameplay and this one will allow you to set your hint and skip times to your preference. Since we had a lovely stormy morning with power outages, I am a bit late in getting my review done so I will leave it to others to give you all of the details. The HOPS are a lot of fun and there is the usual variety but I still prefer the list type. I love the way the mammoth team creates their HOP scenes and the ones in Valeria are gorgeous. For some the puzzles might seem very easy but I am guessing that most gamers enjoy puzzles that are not “rip your hair out” difficult. I like to think a bit about what I am doing and once in a while do appreciate some challenge that might be over the top but for the most part, I enjoy puzzles that do not detract from gameplay or the storyline. Yes, the game will be a buy for me. I have enjoyed the other stories in the series but this one seems a bit better. I am not sure that I am playing the same game as another reviewer because I didn’t find the baby griffin annoying at all and certainly didn’t notice it flapping its wings and screeching throughout the game. Yes, it did make a bit of noise but I found it rather endearing. I don’t want animal helpers in every game but once every so often is fine with me. I would rather almost have a pet helper than an amulet that I must play some insanely stupid mini-game to charge before each use. All in all, I find Midnight Calling Valeria to be an excellent game and a must-have addition to my gaming library. Happy gaming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valeria to the rescue! I think the game is fantastic. I'm having a lot of fun with it. The VO's are done very well. The Griffin is adorable and to me not annoying at all. He just sits there quietly, and the only time he speaks is when he can get something for you. I've been playing this game for 2 and a half hours and I still quite a ways to go. To me it isn't H0G heavy in the least. Collectives are glass shards, collectibles and morphs. I won't go into the story as you can pretty much get the synopsis on the game page. Graphics: They are absolutely gorgeous. The animals are totally adorable. And I just like looking at the scenery. Music: Fits the game just right. This time it doesn't get outright booming. H0GS: There is a nice variety and I'm truly enjoying them. You're not bored with the same old same old. And the items are very easy to spot. Mini Games: A nice variety here too. I love the super puzzles. The one challenging one to me was driving the airship. The others were just fun. Map: The map tells where the player is and has the red exclamation when you have something to do there. Hint: It as usual does great on the outside and you don't have to worry about getting stuck on the game. All in all I highly recommend this game. You truly do go on a nice little adventure. Kudos to the team.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like reading a novella when you expcted a novel Found this game to be rather disappointing. Graphics, cut-scenes, voice-overs were all well done. But the game itself was very short. Lacked imagination. And offered nothing new. I'd go into further detail, but most of it has already left my mind. You had collectables and morphing objects along the way, but if you missed any you couldnt go back and get them - this is a real turn off for me, as i like to 'complete' my games. Same thing for the bonus chapter. The overall feeling was that it was over just as you were getting into it. Recommend the SE, but not worth the CE price or label.
