12 Labours of Hercules VII: Fleecing the Fleece Collector's Edition is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TM series out there! The developers of this Hercules series of games do such a good job of creating games that are challenging yet attainable. I am a very good TM game player, and I have been frustrated lately by previously excellent games that now make it impossible to get the highest score on all levels. (I'm looking at you, Incredible Dracula) Once I realize that a level gold is unattainable, it ruins the whole game for me (I'm OCD like that.) I also dislike TM games that force you to collect resources and build etc in a predetermined order to make gold. A good TM game should have enough variables that the player has a variety of courses with which to make gold. This is where the Hercules series shines. First of all, gold (3 stars) is obtainable on all levels - and not necessarily in the order described in the guide. I rarely look at the guide until after I make gold, and usually, I find that I did so in a completely different way! Second, gold is challenging, but not terrible so. Usually, it takes me 5-6 tries. Sometimes I get it right in the first round, and sometimes it takes dozens of tries - usually because I get stuck in doing things one way and can't think outside the box - lol! Third - Hurcules includes the "Developers Score" - which adds to the challenge! After I finished this game with all gold, I went back and replayed the levels that I had not beaten the developer's score until I did so. This was super hard on some levels - one took me 2 days to master - but extended the life of this game for at least a week! Fourth - I LOVE the ability to click ahead - it's one of the things that makes this series so much more fun! I wish all TM road clearing games would take a cue from the Hercules Dynasty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as much fun as the rest of the series Fun game with 3 difficulty levels. Good music and graphics. Similar to the others in the series. Enjoyable and relaxing in the casual mode which is what I used for the trial and then purchased it. I have all the others and enjoy playing them over and over so I am sure I will this one too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stumped by Bonus Level 3 (Level 3.11) I have played all the Hercules series, some more than once. This is one of my favorites! But, I am completely stumped by Bonus Level 3 (level 3.11). I cannot figure out how to open the light blue portal, which means I cannot progress on this level beyond collecting food and wood. Can anyone help me? What am I missing? I even searched YouTube and Google for an answer but was not successful. So, it makes me think I am having a mental block of some sort and am the only person who cannot figure this out. I appreciate any feedback (and am hoping for an "AH HA" moment). Thanks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from JUST IN TIME! I had just started replaying (for the 3rd time) one of the previous Herc games, when ta dah!! Here's a new one! I love these games, and while there not a lot of difference between the old and the new, they're still great fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This wasn't a bad TM I'm not a big fan of TM games but this one kept me interested long enough to finish the demo. Each level is basically the same but the challenge increases which kept me in the game. Had to see what was coming next. Graphics are good and colorful and the characters movements aren't stiff or amateurish. Obviously some thought was put into this game by the developers. There are 3 different game modes but I always do relaxed simply because I hate concentrating on the clock rather than the playing. There is a puzzle hidden within the game and you collect pieces as you progress. Even if you aren't a TM fan, I think you'll find this one fun. Try the demo and decide for yourself. Have fun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DEFEAT THE DRAGON FLEECE THE FLEECE Jason and Hercules have yet another adventure to embark upon, Fleecing the Fleece! Before this dynamic duo can steal the fleece from the land of Colchis, they must build a boat to cross the treacherous sea, and defeat a powerful dragon! Number seven isn't a charm in my opinion, for whatever reason, I just didn't think this one was as much fun, and even though the synopsis states that the graphics are in stunning HD, but I didn't notice anything spectacular. There are three different modes of difficulty, Relaxed, Casual and expert, and every level that is completed within Gold Time, will reveal a part of the Magic castle. Each level has a puzzle piece to find which looks like an ancient rune tile, which allows you to assemble 5 different puzzles. I always look for the puzzle piece before clicking on anything which starts the game, that way I don't forget about the puzzle piece or waste time searching for it. You can replay any of the levels to try to get a better score or if you forgot the puzzle piece. There are 20 Achievements or Trophies to earn for tasks such as collecting a resource after completing the level tasks, completing the level without using bonuses or finding 10 puzzle pieces. As you progress, different bonuses are made available that can be used each time the meter refills, such as more Resources, or Faster workers, but the effects are only temporary. There are the usual tasks of building and upgrading farms, sawmills, goldmines, and even outposts that house workers that are far from home, clearing and repairing paths, and collecting food. Each task requires a certain amount of resources to complete and when you scan over a task, the requirements needed are shown as well as the resources you are lacking to complete the task. You can click on several tasks to have the workers complete, a checkmark will appear on the item for every available worker, and flags will queue the rest in numerical order until a worker is free. In Relaxed and Casual modes, the tasks available are circled in green, yellow indicates you will be able to complete the task once the resources collected are delivered to the base camp, red indicates the item is either blocked or you don't have enough available resources. Hercules is the go to guy for removing things no mere mortal could accomplish, (and there's always an abundance of boulders and landslides in every game of the 12 Labours series) and his wife Megara, takes care of the saplings. This Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 20 (to the best of my knowledge) Trophies or Achievements to earn, (which can be viewed on the level map) Collectible Puzzle Pieces, Puzzles to complete once all the pieces have been collected, a built in Strategy Guide, and Bonus Level chapters, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hercules VII A nice version in TM of the Hercules saga. I notice that the wooden stacks are new. I have not seen them before. The puzzles pieces are harder to see. I find myself going thru the game so quickly, I forget to look for them. I don't usually buy collector's edition for TM games, but with the coupon, it is worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Same-O, Same-O The only reason I bought this as a "collector's edition" was it was on the 65% off offer. I can't see any difference in this game from the other Hercules (all of which I own and was hoping for something new). Pretty much same format and same game play with a few differences being the stumps that continually supply wood. Music at times is annoying. It's enjoyable if you want a no-brainer game for relaxation other than that nothing different. The only ones getting "fleeced" are the fishies who paid full collector's edition price - wait for the SE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No real change I've grown to love these games and have 2 Hercules, but all are basically the same, just different layouts. This one did have something new, and it took me awhile to figure it out, but you get wood from wood columns that you just keep using until the rings are gone. The layouts were small, seemed to be in the trees on branch trails, but didn't get to play long enough to launch the Argo into the ocean, then maybe there would be islands or something. i know this isn't a CE game and may look at it again when it comes out as an SE
