Bridge to Another World: Escape From Oz Collector's Edition is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very enjoyable It took me a while to get into this game, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Both the main story and the Bonus Chapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A remarkably accurate spin off! This is an amazing game and kudos to the writers and artists who clearly have done their homework. There are many little acknowledgements of the original artists of the books; W. W. Denslow and John R. Neill, and their style throughout the game. They (the writers and artists) really _got_ the artistic time period of Art Nouveau, that made a big part of the popular illustrations of the times. This is not to say the game is overpowered by this art style. The influence is delightfully subtle but the modern touch makes it even better. For instance, the magic slippers are silver, as Baum originally described them. (A tragedy that the movie people wanted to show off the new color filming and made the slippers red). They are drawn in classic Art Nouveau style and are beautiful! Also I noticed large poppies figuring in the background of a HOS. Poppies were a popular flower, (for various reasons!) in the Art Nouveau style. But again, One HOS scene included lots of Kansas items (cows, barns, etc.) and of course lots of sunflowers for Kansas! In addition to the art, the game is a nice retelling of the tale in a bit more adult mode, although there is nothing remotely offensive or too adult. I really liked how they had eerily realistic renditions of the Tin Woodman (he WAS tin and a man!) and the scarecrow, with his flighty brainless style. Also the action takes place with an adult Dorothy, living in Kansas and a Tornado. Not to mention the darling Toto. Also the sequel/bonus chapter was just as well thought out as the main story, including an amazingly drawn witch. I'll have to go back and look at her again. I won't give away any more; there are still many things to find and see and I can't wait to play this game again. If you grew up with the original Oz books as I did this is a classic. I can't remember when I last gave 5 stars, but this game deserves it. I very highly recommend this game for all faithful Oz fans, and those who like a beautifully crafted game. And three cheers to 4friends who are fast becoming one of my favorite game companies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Neat Twist on an Old Classic Being a huge fan of "The Wizard of Oz", I was eager to try this game. The controls and the sizes of some of the scenes took some getting used to, and the story started out a little slow. But once I was out of the house, it was a fun adventure till the end. The puzzles were a good range of easy to REALLY HARD ones. They challenged the brain and added a bit of frustration, but not enough to make me put down the game. Just enough to make me sit in front of the computer for 25 minutes to figure out a puzzle. When you get to the puzzle with the wolves, you'll see what I mean. I also liked how some of the HOS had you do more than one action to find the hidden item. There was a ton of gameplay (it took me about 6-7 hours from start to finish) and it came to a satisfying conclusion. Additional plus: I love how much you can use Toto in the game. He's one smart little pup! The graphics were gorgeous, the soundtrack was haunting and the voice acting was good as well. Word to the wise: be careful playing it at night if you get creeped out easily. Overall, this was a really great game! If you are an Oz lover, this puts a really neat twist on a traditional story and you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oz in 2017 This has been a fun game. A little on the short side, but I still enjoyed the whole game. I like the hidden object puzzles where you have to find items to actually make an object you will use. I also like it when I have a little "helper" that helps with retrieving items throughout the game. However, the searching of coins just to buy my helper stuff in the end is a little useless.. IMO.. I think they should've had morphing objects. The storyline was fun... It was Oz for the modern day..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game! I loved this game. I don't do many reviews but had to say it was so much fun. I would change a couple things, but nothing is perfect, right? I do wish the bonus game was longer. Toto was wonderful!! Hope they do more Oz games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game! Finally a game that was fun, made me laugh out loud a few times. It is well made and loved Toto the dog, he is a great addition to the game. Very few skulls and skeletons, also a plus! The mini-games were good, not terribly challenging but some quite clever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRIDGE TO ANOTHER WORLD SERIES RETURNS WITH A FRESH TAKE ON THE WIZARD OF OZ TALE! The Wizard of Oz is a very popular book around the world, especially after it was transformed into a movie a couple of times, not to mention all the cartoons and other artistic representations. Even so, there are still some new ideas that could be integrated with enough creativity, especially in the realm of video games. An adventure is always fun, at least if the mystery keeps you interested for multiple hours of game play. Bridge to Another World: Escape From Oz is a hidden object adventure game like any other, at least in terms of gameplay mechanics and puzzles. The world you get to explore is unique, not to mention the interesting characters and situations you meet along the way. Furthermore, the colorful graphics help with the atmosphere, especially when it comes to the backgrounds. The whole thing starts with Dorothy (now a mother) as she begins her day by sending her kids to school and catching some relaxation time alongside her dog Toto. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong when a massive tornado rips her house out and transports her to a magical land somewhere in a different world. Here, she encounters a variety of curious characters, and she also enters some kind of deadly competition hosted by the Great Wizard. As mentioned before, there are no revolutionary gameplay mechanics at work here, but that shouldn’t be a problem if you are a fan of the genre and you just want to have a good time. Though all the puzzles may not be original, they are at least intriguing and sometimes challenging, which should be enough to maintain a jolly atmosphere and make you feel like you are truly making progress. Lastly, the graphics are worth a mention too, they are TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Every scene is unique, on the other hand, and you can tell that the designers had a blast coming up with ideas. Furthermore, the short cut-scenes are not very bad either, not to mention the great voice acting and the nice music playing in the background. In the end, Bridge to Another World: Escape From Oz has all the right elements to make the fans of the genre happy. So, if you are aching for some classic HOPA action and you do not mind the repetitive puzzles, this can easily keep you busy for several hours. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this wonderful adventure. Cheers!    

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful game Nice story, beautiful scenes. Next time the minigames could have some more challenge. nice to play a game which storyline is not in the night (dark scenes) all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a fun game! So nice to play a game with an original story line (although loosely based on The Wizard of Oz). The puzzles were interesting and fun, and the characters were easier to relate to than princesses and paranormal detectives. I was sorry to come to the end of the game. I will be looking for more games from this developer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good game! This game follows the path of the previous games and is very good too! Even if there is not a plenty of goodies in the CE, the bonus game worth it by different puzzles and a good story. If you likes the previous Bridge to Another World, you wont regret it.
