Bridge to Another World: Escape From Oz Collector's Edition is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow - this was a great game Loved this game - kept the interest going throughout the game, which was nice and long - good value for money. The graphics were excellent -storyline aligned to the original OZ story. The HOPS and puzzles were challenging enough to make it fun without you having to reach for your PhD. Loved the dog - Toto just was the cherry on top - so cute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Real Winner for Once! It's been a long time since I've liked a game as much as this one! It's not only beautiful, it's fun, and interesting enough to keep my interest. Finding a game that keeps my interest is challenging lately. It might be that this game has clearly defined parts to it East, West, North, South, so it feels not like one tiresome long game, but shorter ones with different settings and tasks, yet related tasks. The collectibles are not hard to find (a few were), but that's okay here, the rest is entertaining enough. It's not too hard, but not so easy it's a bore. In the words of Goldilocks, "It's just right." Many of the HOS are brilliant and novel! The one with Toto in the bath is adorable! Yes, Toto comes along as a helper, but as much as I hate helpers, I don't mind Toto. He acts like a dog! Digs... jumps into water... chases rats... barks... I love dogs, and this one behaves like one, not like an elf (ahem). I won't purchase anything for Toto though. Maybe a toy or two! Don't expect The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (the book title), this does have recognizable elements to that story, but it has other familiar characters and themes too (think rats and flutes). I actually disliked Alice in Shadowland, so was pleasantly surprised to enjoy this one so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A BEAUTIFUL GAME THAT WAS NOT A STRAIN TO PLAY : ) Really enjoyed playing this beautiful entertaining non grey-matter straining game. These Developers are really gifted in my humble opinion and I like their little touches here and there...Oh how I loved my little helper TOTO, I even enjoyed our 'shopping sprees :) Story-line, graphics, music,mini-games HOG scenes (my fav. part of games)...well done : ) If you choose to buy this game I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 5 out of 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale because by reading the reviews before buying I knew there were not a lot of extras and collectables so I was not disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OZ LOVED DIZ GAME (ok that was corny) What makes a game great is one that includes the little details like leaves that move when you touch them or birds that fly away when you point at them and this game is full of these. The story line was creative and easy to follow and the graphics were excellent. Voice overs were good as was the music. I don't understand why everyone complains about helpers, I actually love them and Toto was adorable. The h.o. games were fun and the other games were just the right difficulty. This developer put a lot of thought and hard work into this game and they absolutely deserve a five star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got to answer my Walkie-Talkie! Frank is calling me! 4Friends Game Developers, Bravo! Great job on an innovative, very clever, colorful, intriguing game! I've given it a 5-star even tho there were some minor aspects of the game that I felt could have been improved upon. A couple of the voiceovers, though very good, spoke much to slow for my taste. You have Toto as your sidekick helper. There is one scene where he gets wet and his panting went on and on and I thought it would never stop and was glad when I solved the puzzle. I didn't want to turn the sound off so I put up with it. The music was great but some of it sounded very familiar. You have a plethora of tasks to do. I haven't gotten bored once. I'm 3/4 through the main game and can't wait to play the bonus game. I honestly don't feel you will be disappointed at all. I suggest you try it out. Of course it's not your typical Wizard of Oz Storyline in the sense that we know it, but the tasks, hidden objects, and puzzles, and comparing differences side by side pictures by using the goggles, you name it, this game has it including collecting all the coins as well. The goggles will summon you, by the way. I'm having the time of my life. These developers are truly great. The only minor aspect is upon meeting up with first the Scarecrow, one of the key persons you will be dealing with is Frank, who will give you a map with a puzzle to complete and on the map there are rocks that show a number of moves and a direction of movement. He'll give you two more maps at least in the main game for the Tin Man, and for the Lion. All I wanted to do was take the map and go on my merry way. But you can either play the puzzle or skip it. By the 3rd map, I did just that because of my lack of patience. Other than that, this game truly delivers! Speaking of maps, you do have a general jump-to map which is quite good. These developers thought of everything. But then again, it's a matter of taste. So see for yourselves. Play the demo. One of the scripts and/or text in one instance got a big chuckle out of me, which quotes as follows: "Determinate which key fits one of the locks." The word 'Determine' would have sufficed. LOL! This game can be tedious and it is very thought-provoking but it's not difficult at all. The graphics are awesome. Most of the time I play in Custom Mode. There are various modes. I'm giving it a 5-star. It is well-deserved. Lots of hard work went into this game and I would play this again down the road. I'm glad I got the CE version, too. I highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absolutely loved this!!! I am sooo happy I bought this game. I just wanted it to go on and on and on....I had a terrific time playing this. As far as the fun factor goes....yes, it was a ton of fun and I didn't want it to end...I found the game well balanced between the story and the HOG's and I found it to be both refreshing and original !!! I wasn't bothered at all with the background music...in fact it was soothing to listen to while playing. Now as far as the Graphics go...this is top quality artistry...Big Grats to them for doing such an amazing job !!! I found some area's a little challenging but totally able to complete with a little thought thrown in. LOL And I don't understand how anyone can call this game childish..it's far from it...I think this is a family classic !!! Toto is identical to a little dog I had to put to sleep lately...so in many scenes I sat here and bawled !! This lovely game actually helped me through the grieving process. For those of you who are thinking about purchasing this game...I don't think you'll be disappointed...it's an relaxing, fun-filled game....Enjoy all !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thanks for the good time... Hand won't fit in the fish bowl, ha, ha, ha, ha, that was so funny for the fish bowl in the bomus game is very big.. You have done some marvelious things in the game and i did laugh at quite a few. And thank you, i was acyually able to get all of my trophies. At least i didn't need to find 10 things in 10 sec, that was a treat. And you also improved the menue section which gave more options then they usually do. And i was not frustrated in this game at all and i actually injoyed it. All of it. Visual was beautifully done, music and the story was very well done, the only thing it was, it had a predictable ending. Oh, and i never had a problem with the mouse pointer at all, like some of the games they just take their time and float around some, until it decides to land somewhere. You know i don't understand why we can't use our internal mouse pointers which is never a problem!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creative And Unique! At the beginning I didn't quite feel immersed into Kansas because the background music was too poppy for the country, and the person on the morning radio didn't sound like I would imagine someone from Kansas. But the opening visuals made up for it, as they were very pretty and breathtaking, especially the clouds around the castle. A detail that especially stood out to me was Toto, who moved very fluidly as if he were a real dog about to pop out of the screen! During a hidden object puzzle at the beginning involving him (which I won't spoil!), his little whimpers kept motivating me to hurry and help him! Great sounds for Toto. The minigames and hidden object puzzles overall were also pretty realistic for the most part. I enjoyed finding objects that helped me with my journey, and I liked that Toto could be of help throughout the demo. Definitely interested in purchasing this game after such a gorgeous demo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A remarkably accurate spin off! This is an amazing game and kudos to the writers and artists who clearly have done their homework. There are many little acknowledgements of the original artists of the books; W. W. Denslow and John R. Neill, and their style throughout the game. They (the writers and artists) really _got_ the artistic time period of Art Nouveau, that made a big part of the popular illustrations of the times. This is not to say the game is overpowered by this art style. The influence is delightfully subtle but the modern touch makes it even better. For instance, the magic slippers are silver, as Baum originally described them. (A tragedy that the movie people wanted to show off the new color filming and made the slippers red). They are drawn in classic Art Nouveau style and are beautiful! Also I noticed large poppies figuring in the background of a HOS. Poppies were a popular flower, (for various reasons!) in the Art Nouveau style. But again, One HOS scene included lots of Kansas items (cows, barns, etc.) and of course lots of sunflowers for Kansas! In addition to the art, the game is a nice retelling of the tale in a bit more adult mode, although there is nothing remotely offensive or too adult. I really liked how they had eerily realistic renditions of the Tin Woodman (he WAS tin and a man!) and the scarecrow, with his flighty brainless style. Also the action takes place with an adult Dorothy, living in Kansas and a Tornado. Not to mention the darling Toto. Also the sequel/bonus chapter was just as well thought out as the main story, including an amazingly drawn witch. I'll have to go back and look at her again. I won't give away any more; there are still many things to find and see and I can't wait to play this game again. If you grew up with the original Oz books as I did this is a classic. I can't remember when I last gave 5 stars, but this game deserves it. I very highly recommend this game for all faithful Oz fans, and those who like a beautifully crafted game. And three cheers to 4friends who are fast becoming one of my favorite game companies!
