The Secret Order: Bloodline Collector's Edition is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from SARAH PENNINGTON RETURNS IN THE SECRET ORDER 6: BLOODLINE! The Journey continues as you are cast once again in the role of Sarah Pennington with a mission to locate the "Flower of Life" a flower which can cure all known diseases. As a member of the Secret Order founded by your father, you must travel to the Amazon and locate the cure-all flower, as well as your mother. She's been kidnapped by the Dragon Clan; a ruthless group who have the "Flower of Life" and an evil agenda. Will you be able to rescue your mother and save the "Flower of Life?" Time is running out fast (literally your curser is a timer) and it's up to you, Sarah to save the day! This is another great adventure in the popular series. While there is nothing cutting-edge about the storyline, it's worth mentioning that the plot does keep you completely interested throughout the entire game. I love The Secret Order game series! Each scene is still filled with intricate details and vibrant colors, but somehow the overall aesthetic of the graphics is somewhat cartoonish. I thought the sound effects and graphics were beautifully executed, but somewhat substandard to previous editions. In my subjective opinion, the gameplay is the game’s saving grace. For a game with such a cliché plot, the gameplay is surprisingly complex. Many objectives in the adventure portion of the game require several steps to complete; the challenge level is high and the entertainment value is definitely plenty. The hidden object scenes are definitely imaginative. Most of the puzzles are creative and fun – and the variety is something I certainly appreciated. This action mystery is a great addition to it's predecessors and one may choose to play each game in the order released. I highly recommend this unique series by release date. Cheers! •The Secret Order : New Horizon (December 2011) •The Secret Order : Masked Intent (March 2013) •The Secret Order : Ancient Times (April 2014) •The Secret Order : Beyond Time (March 2015) •The Secret Order : The Buried Kingdom (May 2016) •The Secret Order : Bloodline (June 2017)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Likely the best one yet! There are six editions of The Secret Order available so there are many to choose from with this theme, but I think this is the best of the six. This is a beautiful game! The voice and music are excellent! While some of the puzzles are not very difficult there is good variety and they are fun so it has kept me interested to keep advancing and there are some puzzles that will challenge. I am really enjoying this game and am looking forward to finishing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm Too Afraid Of Anything Living In The Amazon.... so this big sissy will be content with this exciting game instead. Stories involving jungles always provide a lot of danger and adventure, with some sort of treasure or exotic creation as the reason for the journey. This one has a miracle-producing flower that becomes deadly if it falls into the wrong hands. I think the game will be a winner based on what I've seen so far. Others have already provided so much description, my account of it would just be an echo. So, I'll just share a little of what pleased me and gave me 90 minutes of enjoyment. The graphics were amazing with a multitude of beautiful things to see and hear that awakened my interest even more, especially with the addition of beautiful wildlife to enhance the scenery. The colors were rich and realistic, adding more depth to the entire look of the surroundings. Everything was perfect for my taste in games. I enjoyed the characters, all done very well and I loved the little monkey. He was quite real looking, but I may have trouble adjusting to an assistant who doesn't annoy me to death! In the demo he was pretty quiet and well-behaved. More mini games than usual in this demo. I didn't have trouble with any of them. Loved them all. The HOGs were great and I liked the variety. I always like the interactive ones best. The abundance of collectibles was a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to collecting them ALL, wish me luck! I had a busy, satisfying adventure with the demo, will purchase with today's sale. I highly recommend this game for any skill level; And it really offers the "bang for the buck!" Faith....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1ST TIME 4 ME !!!! 5***** I'm certainly not a good reviewer at all...and have never really played my 2 CE games by this developer before - I just never finished playing them--and I've been using BF for many years... After downloading today's new release I played the trial for 15mins. And knew I had to buy it. So now I'm back to playing the older games along with this new game. That's a bonus for me!!!! This game has all the little things I like to see in a game!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FIND THE FLOWER OF LIFE AND SAVE MOM FROM THE DRAGON CLAN. Fly straight into adventure in this latest Secret Order Game Bloodline as you are off to the Amazon to join your mother who is on a mission for the order to find a mysterious flower that is said to “heal all illness." The Secret Order is a terrific series and one in which each game seems better than the last. After my last adventure in the Buried Kingdom, I have been eagerly looking forward to another experience as I work to defeat the powerful and evil Dragon Clan that has been the Order’s archenemy for centuries. Now what looks like a simple vacation to “catch up” with mom and her assignment soon turns into a race against time to save her after she is kidnapped by the Dragon Clan as they seek to find the flower. Not only is saving mom a priority but you must stop the Dragon Clan before the flower falls into their hands. I love this game! It is fun and exciting with a lot to do and see as I set out to save mom. The graphics are gorgeous and create the beauty of the Amazon with rich color. The voiceovers seem quite realistic and the voice acting is excellent. The game offers the usual 4 modes of gameplay but it seems odd that I cannot turn off the HOP “clicking” penalty in the custom mode. Your tools include a transporter style map, a magic cube, and rather cute little monkey that will latch on to you early in the game. Okay, I know that many gamers are over pet helpers but they really don’t bother me all that much and I rather like this little guy. There are quite a few puzzles early in the game with some that present more challenge than others. I love those where we must untangle ropes and that was the first one I found. I also enjoy those where we need to measure liquids to get the appropriate amount and this one presented a bit more challenge than some of the others in the demo. If you read my reviews then you know I am a big fan of puzzles even though I don’t always need a brain-draining challenge so the puzzles in Bloodline are absolutely perfect for me. Of course there will probably be some that are more difficult later in the game. I also enjoyed the variety in the HOPS found the first one quite entertaining as mom asked me to find certain items to help her with her patient. The CE version of the game has collectibles as well as morphing objects. Throw in the standard extras that include the ability to replay HOPS and puzzles and you have a nice CE package. Even though I rarely use the strategy guide (mostly to help me find nearly invisible collectibles when I am stuck), I most often purchase the CE version of games because of the in-game strategy guide. The Secret Order Bloodline is a game that I will definitely purchase and with today’s two for one sale, I hit the bonanza. I love the Secret Order series and have every game since the series began in 2013. I somehow have the feeling that Bloodline might just be the best game thus far even though I loved the Buried Kingdom. I love the various storylines in the series that include everything from time travel with a sci-fi twist to the current trek through the Amazon in Bloodline. Even though I think this is a top-notch 5-star game, please try the demo to see if you will enjoy Bloodline. Happy gaming, and wishes for a happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there in BFG land.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RACE AGAINST TIME TO REACH THE FLOWER OF LIFE BEFORE THE DRAGON CLAN I was on the edge of my seat during this demo. It was exciting and challenging with beautiful graphics and visuals. Sarah travels to visit her mother who is racing to locate the Flower of Life before the 'dragon clan' does, a flower that cures all disease. Of course, the dragon clan want it for evil purposes, but those are not explained very well. The only lacking in this game was the storyline for me. I would have liked a little more info on this dragon clan and what they want to do with the flower. I do want to see how this one ends, so I will probably add it to my collection. I do recommend this one, it will keep your interest for sure. Thanks, Mia. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 really good games in 3 days!!! This improvement is sorely needed. While I have not been a fan of most Secret Order games Bloodline certainly meets my expectations. In this chapter Sarah Pennington is summoned to the Amazon jungle to aid her mother whose pursuit is finding the Flower of Life. This flora has properties according to legend which can cure all diseases. That would be great for a number of reasons not the least of which renders governments moot in their often futile attempts to formulate sound health care and related costs. Sarah's mom is soon kidnapped by Quiron who is the bad guy in Bloodline. Quiron is somewhat of a bionic man who wants this incredible flower to pursue his own nefarious intentions. Having completed only the demo Sarah finds the flower at its end only to have it taken by Quiron and leaving Sarah to die. This is a typical story yet for some reason it did grab my attention. Unfortunately we do have a dreaded assistant in this case a little monkey. It was used only twice during the demo to secure out of the way items. Hopefully the tiny simian will stay put for most of the game. No new ground is broken with Ho segments and puzzles. One puzzle requiring the placement of 4 colored wires according to a pattern is clever. I would bet that lots of players agree with me in that developers need to create new puzzlers to maintain interests. There are collectible animal figurines and morphs. I found a few although they apparently do nothing to advance the game. There is lots of traipsing around in Bloodline to acquire objects needed in various locales. Finding a flare, a flower, ice, a breeze etc. is an example if using lots of shoe leather. As stated, I can do without the monkey but it did not diminish my enthusiasm for the game. Since we have a BOGO this weekend, perhaps I will obtain it should money suddenly start to burn in my pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT IF A SIMPLE FLOWER COULD CONTROL LIFE ITSELF? WHAT IF THIS FLOWER FELL INTO THE WRONG HANDS! Sarah Pennington is a modern day Time Traveler with The Order of the Griffins, a secret organization her father founded. Her mother joined the Order to protect the helpless, and volunteered her medical services in the Amazon basin, her mission....sabotage! The Order was created to thwart the nefarious deeds of it's nemesis, The Dragon Clan. Sarah's mother has been searching the Amazon for a flower of miracles, a flower that if possessed by the wrong person, would become a deadly flower, she has been searching for The Flower of Life, a flower that cures ALL illness! Looks like Sarah is back on the job, because the Dragon Clan has kidnapped mom, they will return her unharmed in exchange for the flower of life. We're about to find out what will happen if the Flower of Life falls into the wrong hands! Hold on to your computer chair folks, this is going to be an amazing Amazon adventure! The graphics are stunning, I loved every second of this game, the sights the sounds, the beautiful Amazon wildlife and the abundance of Collectible Animals and all those morphing Amazon critters. Eventually you will take possession of a Cube artifact which will give you special powers after playing a mini game, and I believe there are 3 different "powers" to use throughout the game. A small monkey takes a liking to you, and he will assist you when you need something that's too high to reach, but he's realistic and unobtrusive and at least in the demo, he's not annoying in any way. Where has The Secret Order been hiding lately? (apparently the Amazon) This series is fantastic, but it's hard to keep up with the storyline when they take so long in between releases, New Horizon was released in December of 2011, then we waited for 2 years before Masked Intent was released March 2013. Ancient Times followed in it's footstep a year later in April of 2014, Beyond Time the following year March 2015, and last game was released in May of 2016, The Buried Kingdom. I guess all that waiting has paid off, because they took the time to get it right, and this is a definite buy for me. The Hidden Object Scenes mostly Silhouetted Shape finds, some are the Progressive Interactive ones, but there are also the standard Listed item finds, and one scene where you are tasked with finding items and following instructions that mom gives you. If you're not into HOP's, there is a Pair Matching game to play instead. The Mini Games are plentiful, and so far, none of them seem too difficult to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Follow ingredient clues, mix to achieve the correct color, then use a 5 oz. and 3 oz. beaker to achieve the correct amounts of each color. 2) To use the cube's power. move the lens around the scene to reveal and select each symbol shown on the lens frame to reveal hidden places. 3) Recreate the colored symbols from the paper by using the colored wires to connect two different shapes that when combined will form the correct symbols. 4) Escape the burning plane by interacting with the scene. 5) Enter the correct combination by first solving the match equations and applying those color coded sums. 6) Put the discs into their correct places by swapping tiles. 7) Find the object that matches the keywords in a story and then place those items correctly. This Collector's Edition has 7 Collectible Poster Magazines by Dale Kingsley, 7 Collectible Parrot statues, 7 Collectible Alligators statues, 7 Collectible Panthers statues, 7 Collectible Chameleon statues, 24 Achievements to earn (12 skill based-12 story based), 20 Morphing Objects to discover, replayable Mini Games and Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Wallpapers, 9 Soundtracks, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit of Indiana Jones here... Hi all! Well, I believe we have #6 in this series. Yes, I have the all of them, but not all are the CE version. The graphics are excellent, with very few exceptions of a slight blur in close up scenes. The animation is exceptional. Colors are very bright and clear. Voice overs are age and character appropriate, with some emotion thrown in for a little more realism. Not as much dialog and character interaction as there could be, but maybe it picks up as the game progresses. Music is very soothing with a few drums thrown in for affect. Sound FX are very well done, with wonderful jungle sounds. There is a helpful little monkey that comes along early in the game, but he is very quiet and doesn't jump around when not in use. He only helps with the higher out of reach areas. They did fix the size of the print in this version. Last game, the print was quite small. HOPs are a very nice combination of interactive and straight lists, highlighted words, silhouettes and find this part and use it here to get something else. Very nice combination. HOPs are fairly clean and items are not difficult to find. I did not see that you could switch to something else if you didn't care for the HOPs. Puzzles were nothing new and not difficult to complete. It didn't seem like there were as many HOPs or puzzles in this game, as in the previous games in this series, but still enough action to keep you moving. You do a lot of back-tracking in this game as well, and I did not see a transport feature. For the most part, you don't back track too far at a time. The jump map is helpful and areas are marked with their name and if there is an objective. Hint system is quite helpful when you need it and actually gives you a hint, rather than "move on." Not many collectibles, but you do need to find morphing objects, which are not as easy to spot as you may think, and seem to be in every scene. You also find "collectibles," which all seem to be something similar to a hand carved animal of various types. These can be any color and are not difficult to find. No, there isn't one in every scene, so don't forget to look for them. I see that we also need to find posters, which are not listed in the strategy guide...at least, not in the demo version. Quite large, quite easy to find, and very easy to forget to pick up. Nothing spectacular, but okay. This story was a little different and I found it interesting. It sort of draws you in from the beginning. Even though this game is not really challenging, I did like the story and I find the need to play it out and see where it goes. I don't give 5 stars easily. A game has to be exceptional in every aspect, and this one fell a bit short, mostly because of the simple collectibles and the need for something a little extra. Even at that, I gave it a 4.0. I think all levels of players will like this one. Yes, I am going to add this CE to my collection. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sarah Is Back And So Is Her Basic Storyline Sarah, a member of the Order of The Griffins, is back and once again must save someone and the world from the Dragon Clan. Naturally there will be problems and troubles as she "races" to save the current victim, her mother. Good stuff: HOPs with a match game alternative, good mini-games/puzzles, bright artwork, good VOs and background sound, with several different collectibles, morphing objects, and CE bling. Bad stuff: There will be a cute little monkey as a helper. There is no sense of urgency as you apparently watch as your mother is thrown into the back of a truck by members of the Dragon Clan and you go back inside to finish a few puzzles, cure a character you and Mom saved earlier, and then fix a plane. When you do head off to beat the bad guys to the goal, you are in a plane with clouded dirty windows. It should be no surprise when you crash. Later you build a convenient bridge and leave it in place for the bad guys to follow you. This is pretty much where I wanted to leave the story. Luckily the Demo end was shortly thereafter. This is number six for this game series. I just have a hard time getting excited about saving the world again. Please try the Demo for yourself. You may want to carry a monkey around and fight the Dragon Clan again.
