Whispered Secrets: Forgotten Sins Collector's Edition is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good hidden object game Loved this game. Lots of games recently I haven't even been able to get to the end before I have abandoned them for being laborious, but this one had sufficient interest and different in the story and locations to keep my interest even to play all the extras. What I liked too was that the collecible's were really hard to find in most cases. For hidden object lovers this is a must

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game! Most of all I loved fresh and intrigue storyline. I’m very tired of all recent haunted houses and abandoned towns themes. Art style is beautiful with crisp details. Music and sound also well done. And last but not least this game is very long compared to other recent games. This game definitely worth its price. I don’t understand why so many reviewers give this game such bad score. I really really LOVE this game. Kudos to Grandma Studios and Big Fish. Please give us more games like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the memories you go! A very impressive game with many unique features and puzzle concepts. I very much like the idea (seen it before, yes) of a postcard that becomes one with the environment only to reveal a secret compartment or entrance. Only cacophony: The climbing puzzle that was just bad.Think I found my new best one for the month!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unusual storyline & great graphics I am not sure why this game received such low ratings from several people. I thought it was unique (having each character go back in time to recover their own memories), the graphics were colorful and playful, and I always like games that are set in unusual locations. I am no longer interested in playing dark games that have depressing stories so I am attracted to stories that are based in myths, fairy tales, or make-believe adventures. The puzzles were difficult enough, but not overly frustrating. I definitely recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXORCISING THE SINS OF HUMANITY Professor Lomonosov has invited Carol, one of his students, and her best friend, Emma Safer, an antiquity enthusiast and collector, to a famous archeological excavation in Agora. Recently Emma purchased a strange box, known as the Cube of Sins, an artifact capable of exorcising the sins of humanity. Since taking possession of the cube, Emma has experienced horrifying nightmares, dreams so intense, she has made arrangements to meet with a detective who specializes in supernatural phenomenon. Unfortunately, the situation goes from bad to worse, when the contents of the cube are unveiled! Finally! A game that doesn't take place in a haunted house, and doesn't involve Princesses or glitter! I absolutely love the fresh storyline and locale, I think I even got a little sand in my shoes! Although I'm not a fan of unrealistic gadgets that find hidden symbols, I'm willing to overlook this feature, because of the storyline. Whispered Secrets also has a unique feature, of finding hidden caches with photographs you find during the adventure, by aligning the photo with the correct area of a scene. This Collector's Edition version has 74 hidden Crystals, usually two in each scene (there is a pull out tab that shows if you have located all crystals in that scene) I will admit, that some of these are very well hidden, nearly impossible to spot in some scenes. I enjoyed searching for them, but I don't think offering a bunch of crystals is worthy enough to constitute the CE price, unless you take advantage of the 2 for 1 Labor Day sale, however, it does offer 2 Bonus Chapters! The Hidden Object Scenes are decent, I especially liked the Interactive Progressive Silhouetted Shape scene. There are also Interactive List Finds, Multiples of herbs and spices, requiring you to place them into sections of a grinder and turning the handle to expose compartments on the other sides. One of the location scenes was repeated, and there are several smaller Zoom Zone HOP's. Whenever you use the Cube of Sins against sand magic areas, you will search for 7 hidden symbols in the scene, using a lens to reveal them. The Mini Games range from easy to medium difficulty, nothing really challenging, but some games are lengthy. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Swap tiles to complete the key picture. 2) Connect the symbols in one continuous line without overlapping. 3) Use the lense to reveal 7 hidden symbols (repeated each time the Cube of Sins is used) 4) Click on matching pairs of feathers. 5) Swap carpet sections to restore the pattern. 6) Defeat the monkey in a game of Alquerque, by eliminating his pieces, by jumping your marbles over your opponents marbles. Read the blue book for rules of engagement. (available in Casual or Hard modes of difficulty) 7) Rearrange the mannequins apparel to match the photograph. 8) Rotate ornaments using directional arrows, rotating one ornament may affect others. 9) Arrange books according to color, on a shelf. 10) Select directional arrows to guide the camel from obstacles, while using the correct items on the right, a dagger, a shield and goggles. 11) Untangle the rope by dragging knots. Rated 5 out of 5 by from PUT THE GENIE BACK IN THE BOX - (THIS BOX = A CUBE ROOT OF ALL SIN) ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF THE YEAR 7 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter Plus an Extra Chapter - Strategy Guide: 61 Pages OVERVIEW: What a fantastic game! Get prepared for an exotic adventure, detective, as you travel back in time to Agora, Egypt of the 1920’s. You have been invited by your former professor to join him in excavating the site of the ancient Order of Alchemists. Joining you are Emma, a collector of antiquities and Carol, a current student of the professor. A cube in Emma’s possession, The Cube of Sin, is activated, releasing a genie, who entraps all of you within the cube. You, being pure of heart, are the only one who can save the day. Enter each prisoner’s memory and find an item which traps them within this cube or be sealed within this cube forever. Kudos to our sweet GrandMA! This is a fantastic game – an automatic purchase for me. It is also a LONG game and well-worth the purchase price. This is a must-have for lovers of those old Egyptian mummy movies of the past. Although you won’t deal with any mummies within this game, you will be dealing with one nasty sand genie. The story is superb and reminds me of the old Hammer films. The pace is excellent with plenty of activities. The graphics are incredibly beautiful and well-depict the period of the British expeditions. The exotic Egyptian music is mesmerizing. Be Warned: This is a “snake” game with the hissing and appearance of cobras. You receive a gimmicky cube used to fight off sand magic by playing puzzles. You collect crystals and can replay HOP scenes and puzzles. HOP SCENES: They are very creative and cleverly designed. Included are lists of items and silhouette scenes. There are also some mini-HOP scenes in which to locate a small number of items. One of the silhouette scenes requires you to not only locate the items but to replace them back into the scene and interact with them as well. You also have the option to play a Match-3 game in lieu of the scenes. PUZZLES: This is a puzzle-intense game – so many, I will only outline three I enjoyed. They are easy but thematic. There is a physical puzzle in which you are a camel jockey avoiding not only rocks but other obstacles in your path as you traverse the desert. You are also given a pair of goggles, a shield and a knife to battle these obstacles. I also enjoyed the Escape Room puzzles in which you must escape a series of traps by playing three puzzles. FAVORITE PUZZLE – LET’S MAKE A MONKEY OUT OF YOU! You are given casual and hard versions of this puzzle. Outsmart a monkey by playing an Alquerque puzzle against him (AKA computer). Jump over marbles of your opponent to remove them. To win the game and stop all the “monkey shines,” you must remove all this primate’s marbles before he removes all of yours! Hopefully you won’t lose too many of your own “marbles” In playing this game and can outsmart Mr. Banana-breath. LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Hard, Custom Hint: 10 to 90 seconds Skips: 10 to 180 seconds EXTRAS: Map is given to you at the beginning of the game. Replay HOP scenes and puzzles 15 Achievements Collect 74 crystals 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art, Music, Movies HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND PUZZLES IN SEQUENCE HOP SCENES: You have the option to play a Match-3 game in lieu of the puzzles. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Been there done that but.... Yes, the story line in this game is the same old trite one about an evil entity looking for a body to inhabit and rule the world. We have been there done that ad nauseam but this game does have some good points. I'm not going to comment further on the story as others have reviewed that. The HOs are varied. There is the option to play the minigames on casual or hard which I like. I prefer casual.mode rather than stressing over hard games. Graphics were good although a little grainy at times, the music was entertaining and the VOs were done very well. There the usual CE bling including achievements, collectibles, etc. Overall, in spite of the story line, I enjoyed playing this game. A different story could have made it a 5 star game.
