Moai IV: Terra Incognita Collector's Edition 4.6 5 24 24
If It Takes A Village To Raise A Kid We're Going To Need Two Villages Hero and Bright Light are back, and they're not alone! The adventurous duo are now proud parents of twins, Hika-Ri and Koa-Ri, but unfortunately, the gods are angry. Their island began to rumble and shake, towering waves crashed down upon the coast, destroying the coastline settlements. Many people thought the gods were punishing them, but once the tremors subsided, several islands began to rise from the ocean, surely this is a good sign, right? Hero and Bright Light are eager to explore with their new family, but first they must restore the settlements destroyed by mother nature, with your help of course. I love the Moai series, and the graphics keep getting better and better with each episode. The tasks are clear and obtainable, and there's always a nice variety of features, however, I don't see the need to present a Time Management game as a Collector's Edition. The only feature even remotely beneficial would be the Strategy Guide, but it's very difficult to get "stuck" on a TM level, after all you can replay any level as often as you want, so to me, it's really a waste of money unless you've just gotta have a few wallpapers and a few extra levels. There are two modes of difficulty available, Easy mode which is untimed for a relaxing experience the other is Casual which is designed for gamers familiar with TM games. This game has even more Achievements to earn than the last episode, a total of 68, which has to be an achievement for just about anything and everything you could do (or even think about doing for that matter!) Each level has treasure chests available which contain valuable artifacts and bonuses such as the Sandals of Speed which give the Moai a little more speed to get the job done. There are several different Artifacts to earn that will help you progress by increasing resources by a specific percentage, and other perks such as that. The Artifacts are kept in your backpack and you can choose a handful to apply before each level if you choose. A new feature in this fourth edition, are progressive upgrades to Hero as he improves and polishes his skills as a leader, such as his Ability level to negotiate and his Influence and power as the King of the Moai. This is one of my favorite Time Management series, tasking you to remove obstructions from pathways, plant crops for food, build sawmills for wood, quarries to produce stone, repair destroyed property, fix broken bridges, collect resources, trade goods at the market and even talk to giants! I loved the scenery when the Moai discovered a way to breathe underwater, with coral trees, and colorful octopus. This is a great game for beginners and seasoned TM players too. This Collector's Edition has 4 Wallpapers (which are cartoonish in style) 9 Music Soundtracks, 14 Character Biographies, Bonus Levels, and a Strategy Guide, enjoy! July 2, 2016
Best in the series! I really enjoy the Moai games. It's rare for those of us who love these types of TM games to get new ones that often, so we have to rely on Royal Envoy and Moai for our fix. All of this series has been a lot of fun, but this one is the best so far. They've fixed the problem the last ones had (especially the second one) where it's impossible to finish in time and get gold. Now, you can finish all of the levels in gold time - after a few attempts of course - and added to that, there are 15 bonus levels you can play once you've gotten enough gold stars. The gameplay is the same idea as the last three. You build on islands, gather resources and complete the specific goals of each level. This time the pests are birds instead of ghosts and you get some food when you click them away, which can be handy. Instead of installing statues to get rid of the birds, you install scarecrows, which is cute. You can earn bonuses and equip your character with artifacts that can give you more resources, help your workers move faster etc. Some artifacts can only be used for one level so you need to choose carefully. The CE has extra levels and almost makes this two games for the price of one, so it's a good buy. Double the fun! Just playing this once can give you lots and lots of time on the game if you aim to get every achievement. And of course, there's plenty to replay too. Brilliant game. More like these please, developers! July 16, 2016
Sorry Can't Talk, Gotta Go Play Well, this fourth timed/strategy installment is from a collaboration of two teams who have produced the Rescue Team series and Island Tribe 4 among others, so it's gotta be good, right? It is! Rich, detailed graphics, varied tasks, challenges and obscured pitfalls. Delightful, tropical background story, based on exploring uncharted territory, creating villages and vanquishing bad guys. If you're familiar with the previous Moais, you can pretty much just dive right in (wish those popup tutorials were optional). Worker task-stack was there from the start, a big plus. No problems on a Windows 10 machine. I can tell the teams put some serious effort into this one so I'm going to put some serious effort into playing it. Have fun! July 3, 2016
Well worth the wait!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Moai IV was the game of the day! As I've been burned before by buying before trying, I decided to do the trial first. I didn't have to even finish the trial to know this was a keeper. As in previous Moai games, I found play was very challenging but not impossible. This episode is just another great example of what a time management game should be. Although I was beginning to think we would never see another great TM game, Moai IV was well worth the wait! Keep them coming!! July 6, 2016
Never Ending... Man, I played it for I don't know how many days... Almost 70 levels... For, when you finish the first, you get extra levels, and you don't have to be playing time to get there... I did the untimed, and then went back and got all my achievements, and played the extra levels... They did good... July 23, 2016
Awwwwwwwwwesome YES I already saw a preview and I was psyched and now playing it.... so much fun !! I love it !!! The only thing I am not a huge fan of is that you have to wait for your workers to get sick before you can finish a level-- that is a bit crazy.... because just waiting while everyhting else is finished well it gets boring. I also think the backpack upgrades are a bit confusing but that could be me. Enjoy :):) !! Hope soooo much there is a 5 and even 6 coming PLEAAAAAAASE July 5, 2016
I think it's cool I have not played before in TM game, but my first experience was exciting. Lots of fun, exciting process, variety. I think I'll try the other parts too. Intros is not enough for me, but maybe it's normal for TM games. July 20, 2016
Getting Better and Better I love time management games and these are one of the best. Each time they get better and you think they can't get any better but they do,.It's worth getting the collectors edition as it provides enough extra levels to satisfy but even more would be wonderful lol.I certainly did not get bored with this game but then we are all different but I thought it was a great game July 17, 2016
True awesome! I m really like this. Amasing characters, story and humor! Seriously, I laughed at the jokes. Very good, fun and nice looking game. Thanks for this! July 15, 2016
The Adventure Continues I got hooked on this series and was hoping that another one would be created. Boy was I pleased and surprised. This version has all that made the three before so much fun to play and replay, but it also has new challenges to overcome which make Moai IV: Terra Incognita more fun to play. It isn't just a rehash of the older versions which is big bonus for me. July 25, 2016
