Vengeance: Lost Love is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Liked It ! With few exceptions, I am not thrilled with this type of SE because the devs try to cram too much into a short amount of game time. But this one was good with the right amount of plot and action to keep it interesting at a good pace, so the quality was not compromised. A simple road trip turned into an harrowing experience for Amanda and James, when a nut-case from Amanda's past kidnapped James. He was obsessed with Amanda and was determined to prevent her from marrying James. There were a couple of other characters who made very minimal appearances in the story, one of which I believed to be the culprit at first. And then I suspected Amanda's brother. I wish it had been the Lone Miner returning to scare the heck out of everyone! It was still an entertaining game with a little mystery involved. I liked the HOGs and mini games/puzzles, except for the game where you had to move pieces or tokens to a particular slot while other pieces moved at the same time. It was frustrating and tested my patience. I finally just skipped it before my blood pressure shot up. The HOGs were skippable, which I had never seen before. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to skip a HOG !! But, it is a welcome feature for those who hate them. There was a map but did not need it, as the locations aren't strewn all over the place. The back and forth was easy-peasy. The graphics were very sharp and colorful, the voices were good and the storyline held my interest. I was surprised when all of a sudden the ending came out of nowhere and a loose explanation was given for the chain of events. Amanda saved the day and her fiancée, and brought everything to a very happy ending. Thank goodness for all these beautiful Super Heroines! What would we do without them ?! The game ran smoothly, no fancy stuff and had just enough challenge to keep the boredom at bay. I recommend as a coupon purchase or when there is a good sale. God Bless...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for a Standard Edition I liked the game for the fact that it's half the price of a collector edition. All Collector Edition people do is remove a little stages of bonus and release it as standard as well later which can't be compared to a standard from scratch. I liked the graphics, they are well done. Only problem is it's a bit short and less challenging too maybe. but overall it's a recommended game from my end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vengeance: Lost Love Another great hidden object game to play. The skips could have done with speeding up on the puzzles because I like getting to the point

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horror in the countryside! I loved the game and definitely recommend it! The story has enough twists and unexpected turns to keep you engaged and wanting to know more. The voice-overs are not the best but are clear and explain the story well. Characters are well-drawn and suit the game generally - apart from the brother who looks bizarrely out of place. Graphics were nice and detailed and went well with the overall mood of the game. I thought the atmosphere and graphics were better in the second half, with the haunted mines and graves, compared to the start of the game. It was not very long but very enjoyable. The game definitely gives great value in the price of an SE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going Back Home I found this game to be interesting. It is a lot like the older HOG's, but it will still hold your interest. Hog's are not that difficult. I found the story good in keeping you interested in what happens next. Amanda has to find out about the miner that is causing havoc in the town. She finds out that her brother is in cahoots with the miner. Play the game to see what happens next. I really enjoyed this game. It is much better than the recent games we have been getting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from KINDA OLD SCHOOL BUT STILL ENJOYABLE REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME This story is about Amanda and James who are about to get married, but things are about to turn nasty. There is: * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Normal, Hard and Detective modes of play; * Journal; * Interactive map. The graphics are not bad - scenes are kind of dark but you can find everything you need without any problem. The hidden object games are straightforward, silhouette and one HOP by finding items by torchlight. You will do each of these twice. All the items are easy to find and each one only takes a couple of minutes to do. I liked the mini-games. Once again these are very easy to do. I didn't see any new ones I haven't played before in the past but I still enjoyed doing them again. There is an interactive map, but I didn't need to use it as you are only going a couple of steps forwards or backwards. All up the game took me about 3 hours to play. Its not a long game and I was disappointed when it finished cause I wanted to carry on. This game is perfect to play in between the big grunty games that need our full attention or to fill in a rainy afternoon. Its easy to play, has a good storyline and enough suspense to keep you entertained. As I say, it is old school but I love these sorts of games. Happy playing fishies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyable Old School Entertainment! Players weary with razzle dazzle will thoroughly enjoy the story line, puzzles and hidden objects. Would have given the 5th star had gameplay been longer. With fewer hidden object scenes in a lot of recent releases, HO lovers will appreciate this older style game reminiscent of the past. Job well done, Developers! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A PSYCHOPATH WANTS VENGEANCE IN LOST LOVE! This is a great SE where you (Amanda) must save your finance James when he is kidnapped by a masked man who once worked in the town mines. The people in town call him "The Lone Miner". You meet different characters in your quest. Mr. Thompson, a shotgun toting local. Mike, your brother who you come to visit, and Seth a local from your past. Who has kidnapped James and why? It's a fun thriller with lots of great graphics and excellent voice acting. Good sound/SFX and enough puzzles and hos' to entice you further into the game. I just wish the mystery had lasted longer. Players of every level can enjoy this one too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Short but Sweet A really interesting story line, but very short. Should have lasted 2-3 times as long. Glad I got it for half price.
