Gems of the Axtecs Another great matching game to play January 6, 2016
Relaxing game I enjoyed not having to play against the clock, except for a few levels, yet there was still a challenge to complete a level within a certain number of moves. My main complaints are that only one person can play this game. There is no option to Change player. I can't even compete against myself to see if I've improved, All I can do is erase all my progress and start fresh. The 2nd complaint is that you are offered a chance to buy more stars, but no reason is given to do so, and as a matter of fact using your coins to buy stars makes no sense b/c only coins can be used to buy power-ups. Once I realized I needed coins not stars I stopped buying stars and had enough coins for all the power ups I needed. January 11, 2016
Enjoyable Slow Fun Game. Two drawbacks, you can't redo a level unless you fail. You can't make an exchange with something you are dropping to the bottom. It doesn't have a time limit, it does have a move limit. But for a relaxing time downloading from a stressful day, or just enjoying a game this one meets the criteria. January 5, 2016
It's okay Ok If you are bored and want a stress free, no challenge activity January 5, 2016
Just An Average Match 3 With No Pizazz Everything about this game is just average. The story is the same average story, pauper falls in love with princess, daddy the king says no way, pauper sets off on an adventure to find riches beyond imagination to make himself worthy of the princess. There is only one average option for the Match 3 game mode, Limited moves, where you must make matches of at least 3 identical tiles by swapping them in a specific number of moves. Same goals, break stone tiles, chained tiles, gold tiles etc. by making matches next to them or match tiles chained up, as you progress, diamonds are introduced that cannot be moved, they must be removed by making matches underneath them until they drop off of the board. There are a few things that really annoyed me, my biggest complaint is the time it takes after completing a level, (there's enough time to cook a large breakfast and do the dishes) When you have met the goal requirements it tells you the level is complete. At that point the computer finishes playing any leftover moves you have, and then finishes all the bonuses you had left over or acquire during the leftover moves, then a window pops up giving you the talled score and up to three gold stars (which brings up another gripe later on) It doesn't end there, there's still plenty of time to waste as you are then taken to the level map, where the coins and stars you earned are shot up to the top of the screen, and you have to wait until the pauper soon to be not so pauperis moves to the next level spot, whew..! The next complaint I have is the fact that I was able to play 26 levels within the demo hour and received 3 gold stars on every level on the first attempt, way too easy! Other than the tiles being unappealing, my final complaint is the fact that sometimes, my cursor had a mind of it's own and when I would click on a regular tile to move it up, down, left or right to be able to make my match, the tile would go in different direction then I was going to move it to, not only did it move in a different direction, it would move the instant I clicked on it one time, it didn't even wait for me to move my cursor! There are bonuses to earn as well, but again, they are the same bonuses they just have different names. Some bonuses can be purchased before you begin the level, such as 5 extra moves, the first bonuses are free because you have no choice but to use them as part of the tutorial. There are bonuses you will eventually unlock, Chief's Aid, puts three bombs into play, the Power of the Ancestors activates all bonuses in play, the Hunters Arrows hits several random tiles, the Wrath of the Gods removes several columns of tiles and the Power of Nature removes several rows of tiles. Large matches will put bonuses on the board, most of which require matching the same gem as the bonus to activate it. The Color Hurricane bonus is given with a Match 5 and is a rainbow tile that is the only exception to the rule because it can be used with any color of gem and destroys all of the same gems as matched with. Matches of 4 tiles will give you the Shaman's Dagger bonus which is a directional, gem specific tile that when matched will destroy tiles in the direction shown. Combination matches (vertical and horizontal match in one move) will earn you the Chef's Strike which gives you a bomb to destroy tiles in the surrounding area. I would recommend this game to beginners or if you're looking for a stress free game to pass the time, however, there are Match 3 games out there that are far superior, try Cradle of Rome or Cradle of Egypt, or any Jewel Match episode for a quality Match 3 experience, they are entertaining and much more interesting. Worked on Windows 10, Basic M3 Mostly I am posting to say it worked on Windows 10. I didn't last too long because it was so repetitive. I am not a great M3 player but it was pretty much the same thing over and over. Someone mentioned the time after you were done while the game finished the board. It wasn't that bad (I do need a break) but it did seem to take awhile and I felt like I never got anywhere. I'm sure it got harder because they always do. I have 39 mins. left on the demo but I was really bored. The story isn't really interesting and it has one of those giant clunky cursors which I immediately disable. The game seemed to work as far as I played it, again running on Windows 10 Professional. I would like a good M3. January 5, 2016
I wanted to like this game . . . OK, I knew from the beginning that this game is very basic when it comes to bells and whistles, but I REALLY needed a new Match-3 game and gave it a fair try. Sadly, it failed. Having played the game about 50 levels twice (I just gave up on try one), I can say with some certainty that it is not too easy, and is definitely not a child's game. The difficulty goes up fast, and there are levels that cannot be won without power-ups (at least by me, and I'm very good at Match-3# , and if you've run out of money to buy them, that's it. Also, there is suddenly a timed level out of nowhere, and if you have limited mobility, as I do, that is a quick way to fail. So, bottom line, this game has some potential, but it needs to upgrade its basic controls #amazingly, it does not allow one to enter a player's name or start multiple games), and it needs to work on its difficulty curve. Going from child's play to impossible for an advanced player is not helpful. January 5, 2016
Good Game for M3 Beginners This game is perfect for children or those beginning M3. It's basic in all ways but shouldn't be discounted for it. Those new to gaming will enjoy its simplicity. January 6, 2016
Not For Me I'm a Match 3 lover, but this one left me cold. The graphics are very ordinary, game play is slow, it's not easy to see what needs to be cleared to finish the level, and as another reviewer said, it takes ages to get from one level to the next while the game does its own thing. I suggest playing Imperial Island or any of the Jewel Quest games rather than this one. Children might enjoy it for a while. January 5, 2016
