Royal Detective: Legend of the Golem 4.5 5 11 11
Enjoyed this lighthearted game Although the game felt a bit short it could only be because I actually enjoyed playing it. Golem stories seem to be the rage right now, but this one was actually somewhat lighthearted and fun to play. Smooth gameplay and the HOS were very interactive and varied which made the amount of them fun to play. Puzzles were also fun and I played most (which is unusual for me) and left some that appeared to be tedious. Custom setting allowed you to set gameplay the way you wanted. Always a plus. Graphics, animations and color were very good as were the voice-overs. I always turn the music off so can't comment on that. Transporter map was very good and was needed because the game occasionally would jump around a bit. I got it with a credit, but would not have felt "taken" if I had paid full price. If you are a hardcore player who wants a super difficult game, this is probably not for you...but I found it a lot of fun...especially with that little golem. March 8, 2016
Great Game! I beta tested this game and was chomping at the bit to finish it. It was definitely challenging and you had to think hard to find the answers to some of the obvious clues but the mini games, HOS's and colorful scenery keeps you moving along. Story was new and different, I liked that a lot. I liked the bonus chapter and how it drew the story to a conclusion. Keep up the great work and send that Royal Detective out again! March 9, 2016
Enjoyable game. I was sorry when the game ended, lovely to look at and the games were a bit different, which added to the over all pleasure. Im sure you will enjoy this game, no matter what level you play. March 7, 2016
Another exciting game from the Elephant games!! 15 second hint and skip time in custom mode. Perfect for busy working folks who want to play a game for a while to relax. Love this game! July 14, 2016
find out who built the golems there is a map and i great hint system and a custom level. you have been called to a town to find out who had built the golems that are destroying it ans why they are doing it. it was a peaceful town for so long and now this......... when you finally chase down the one(s) responsible you have to do some peace-making for the attacks to stop. can't say more or i would give it away. a sequel...probably...... A good way to spend a few hours Entertaining game with a bit of a different stioyline. I liked the clear and bright graphics, the music didn't annoy me (most game background music irritates me). There were plenty of puzzles, some of which were a bit easy, but entertaining. The HOPs were varied and again the graphics were good. I particularly liked the battle at the end as it wasn't too easy. The game even had a sensible ending and didn't just stop as so many of these games do. I would have liked it to have been a bit longer though. April 3, 2016
Gargantuan Beasts The annual Crafts Fair in Glanville has a new exhibition, gargantuan sized golems! The first golem to show up was awkward and slow, the second one a little less awkward. Golem number three however was more advanced, and angrier. It all began when Ronald Marlo, known throughout the world for his clay creations, presented his latest masterpiece, a clay Golem. When the Golem opened his eyes, the townspeople became frightened, even though Ronald assured them that the Golem was harmless, the townsfolk destroyed the abomination and turned their anger upon Ronald, in front of his young daughter. This wasn't the end, but rather a new beginning, and now the Golem's have returned, each day a new Golem a little faster a little less clumsy, and a lot angrier. It's time for the Royal Detectives to pull up their sleeves and get to work finding a way to defeat these stone giants! The graphics are really good, and I loved the features available in the Collector's Edition, 14 Collectible morphing Figures and each scene has a Morphing Object to find. The best part is that your cursor doesn't change, and some of the morphs are difficult to find. You are hired by a wooden leprechaun character that also gives you some insight to what is happening in Glanville as well as it's past history. Eventually you are aided by the Dwarven Miner, and you'll follow directions to make your very own baby golem to help you defeat the giant golems that just keep coming! The Hidden Object Scenes are varied and pretty well done. There are smaller zoom zone HOP's, silhouetted shape finds, progressive interactive list finds and even story type HOP's where you find items matching the words in bold print as a story is being told. The Mini Games are quite entertaining, the following are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Connect the dots. 2) Scroll through different parts of cakes to replicate the picture shown. 3) Press a total of 15 buttons connected with a particular item in the square window. 4) De-mine the board, the figurines show how many bombs are around the open cells. 5) Alter the letter using positive words. 6) Interact with the game elements in a super puzzle. 7) Select symbols from each of the two disks so that they combine to create the creature displayed on the amulet in the center. 8) Roll the dice and move the baby Golem figure along the board, completing the tasks from the game cards. (each card is a mini game) 9) Shoot an arrow when in the green zone. The Collector's Edition has 15 Wallpapers, 13 replayable HOP's, 12 replayable Mini Games, 5 Music Soundtracks, 3 Screensavers, 14 Collectible Figurines, 25 Morphing Objects, 12 Concept Art pictures, 19 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! Well-crafted, nice mini games, too short. My rating is based on playing the entire SE and meeting most of my requirements. - Story: You?re a detective. A dwarf has asked you for help. A golem is attacking and destroying his town. Why is he doing that? Can you support? Can you stop the attack? - Difficulty can be customized. Tutorial, tasks, sparkles, contextual pointer, plus item indicator, helping texts and hint / skip recharge. - Graphics/locations: Are fairy-tale like. Well-crafted. Very detailed and appropriate. - Animation: pretty good, even facial features. - - Music: decent, not disturbing, accentuated. Fitting Background noises. - Voice-overs: good synchronized, matching characters. - Tools: you have an interactive map ? and a helpful and cute mini golem as well as a miner dwarf (pretty practical). The little golem supports you in several tasks, you just have to equip it adequate. It was awesome. I liked that little guy pretty much and would like to have one. Please, can I get one? - HO?s: Several different types, really well-crafted, some were mixed ?description, silhouettes. It seems, there were all kind of HO?s included. - Mini games: were awesome, some interactive puzzle. All in all, not that difficult. - Adventure part: tasks were quite logical. The needed items were spread about several locations, thus it was not too obvious. Step by step you can unfold the locations until all of them are accessible. Neither was the map necessary nor the hints. Even I played w/o helping texts, todo?s were always clear. Dislikes: - Length: I needed 3 hours and something for completing. That?s too short. Fun HO Game I really appreciate an extra level of invention in my HOA's, so this was a win for me. The golem wasn't that story, maybe because the artists made the game more colorful than the usual dark and gloomy jumpscare HOA's. There were two helpers in this game, and although I'm not the mushy type, I loved the cute little golem you have to make. However, the game's pretty short - about 3-4 hours of playtime. Still, it's a fun couple of hours. March 17, 2016
Cute game, great way to pass a few hours. I actually really enjoyed this fun, relatively easy game. The graphics are amazing!. The town itself looks like some of those old European towns with cobblestone roads and cute older buildings. The colors and shades create very welcoming and warm indoor and outdoor locations. Lifelike animations and terrific special effects. Audio wise, the soundtracks are pleasant most of the time, but there are times when they can get overly-dramatic,which I really don't care for. The voice-overs are well done and the voices are appropriate for each character. The puzzles and hidden objects were fun and creatively done. I loved the little pirate helper/fast acting hint skip and the little Golem helper was adorable!! Overall I really did enjoy myself with this game I only wish it was a wee bit longer! It was over before I knew it which is why it's not getting 5 stars. I do highly recommend this game! April 5, 2016
