Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little gem A great atmospheric game that is so hard to find nowadays. Yes, it is old school ,but good old school. Gloomy atmosphere, hauntingly beautiful music, mini games and storyline that make sense. A timeless classic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great story - well told This is not the kind of game where you have to run all over the place. There are distinct areas and each area is finished before you start the next one (with a couple of exceptions) The obstacles are truly terrifying, (lots of open fanged mouths) The story has a nice pace, and every step of the way you learn more of what is going on. You use the items as soon as you get them (as you solve the problems in a area - and don't go back to it once you are done). You do keep the screwdriver, the knife and the crowbar, as you will need them later on (which is smarter than making them disappear, and then having to hunt for something similar) The HOS are clear, and have interactive items. From the same developers who gave us the awesome Hercules TM games...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Gem! I found it a wonderful game. It did not have the flash of some of CE games, but the story and characters were top rate. The mouse action was a little strange, but one got used to it. And I loved having no instructions for the puzzles. HOS were not difficult (which is OK with me) but quite interactive. If the lip sync had been better it would have been top notch. But the voices were so good I could overlook this. The last CE I played took me days - I'd play for 15 minutes and quit. I bought this game this morning. It is now 1:20 AM and I'm done. I will watch for these devs and buy more of their games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent game This is an excellent game in its ingenious simplicity. None of the frills and never-ending "talkers" or "fillers" that, in my opinion, ruin so many games nowadays. Excellent map Excellent hints Excellent music Excellent story (not that I usually care about storylines) Excellent graphics - they are beautiful Excellent and logical gameplay which allows the player to think Simply, an excellent game and I welcome more of the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No bells and whistles here I thoroughly enjoyed this game and look forward to playing it again. This doesn't happen often anymore. The player periodically reads letters which reminds the player of the story line so it doesn't get lost in the game play. The puzzles and navigation are good. It was just plain fun and I recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every minute! I’m giving Cursed Five stars for two reasons; First – to draw attention to it and to counteract the negative reviews that I have seen which I believe were hastily submitted without significant game play. And second, because I see something really exciting in this game that I would like others to recognize as well. In the first few minutes of playing this game I began to notice the quirks, if you will. The inconsistencies with which I believe influenced most of the negative reviews. There were a few glitches with the mechanics and how the scenes transitioned, a couple of programing “hick-ups” here and there. But after a while I notice something else; I noticed that this game was trying to be something NEW and something other than the usual game play. It was actually very refreshing to play in this new type of environment as it was presented. And, although not perfect, it is new. Aside from the negatives, here’s what I found: Absolutely beautifully crafted scenes. The HOG’s were extremely detailed and realistic. The cut scenes were very fun to watch and the animations were spot-on! Another very important aspect that makes this game stand out is the “smartness” that went into the puzzles and the logic behind the story. There are so many games today that are ridiculously absurd, thrown together with no thought at all, just to make a buck. I just have to stop playing them because they are either stupid or make no sense at all. On the contrary this game made perfect sense at every point and you can actually see the efforts of the team who put it all together. To the team at Jet Dogs Studios, please do not listen to the negatives coming from these reviews. You are doing the right things and are on the right path. Just keep at it and I anxiously look forward to your next game. I do have one negative though, I enjoyed the game so much, I had wished it was longer. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~~~SAVE YOUR LOVE ALBERT BEFORE THE WORLD IS CURSED~~~~ Cursed goes for the classic horror set-up with a selection of stark locations, creepy characters, and otherwordly beasts blocking you at every turn. There are a handful of jump scares that include bats flying at the screen and people transforming into burning skulls, that sort of thing. Surprisingly it doesn’t come off as cheesy or hokey, it actually works in the game’s favor. Just a good old fashioned romp through a ghost town, complete with childrens’ voices whispering in the shadows. The main adventure in Cursed takes you through gray and empty scenery that’s packed with obstacles. Inventory management is minimal at best, with only a few items you’ll have to worry about picking up, carrying around or combining. The game is unusually obsessed with locks that have shapes missing from the front, a somewhat tired adventure game trope, but a puzzle’s a puzzle, right? Mini-games are sprinkled throughout the map, but they don’t offer anything strange or unusual, just a light diversion to take your mind off of the ghost that just threatened to kill you. Hidden object scenes sit at the core of the Cursed experience. They crop up quite frequently and feature a limited list of items at the bottom of the screen, the majority of which are interactive. Pick up, open, adjust and fiddle with the environment to uncover or create the items on your list, then grab them to free up some space. New items appear at the list until the entire queue is exhausted. You can’t grab items that aren’t currently displayed, which feels nonsensical at times. The scenes themselves are also a bit claustrophobic, but the density leans in your favor, cutting out lengthy searches in favor of compact and clever puzzles. Cursed is a stark game on every level. Most of the scenery is sparse, the interface is a bare minimum, and your interactions with the environment stay simple throughout the game. In most titles this would count as a negative, but for Cursed it’s a huge advantage. The horror genre is all about atmosphere, and these minimalist elements set the perfect scene for a genuinely creepy time. The puzzles and mini-games suffer a bit from this lack of intricacy, but overall it’s a net positive for me. And a scary one at that!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JetDog Studios Presents Outstanding HOPA Gaming! First of all, I'm going to replay this awesome game mostly because of the fantastic characters and artwork therein. The creative genius of JetDog Studios is extraordinary. Artwork and graphics were excellent with no bells and whistles to distract or camouflage. My kind of game for sure! What is this gamers may question at the game's onset. Oh, some older game says I but persisted. Ha! What a blast! There's more than meets the eye in this seemingly plain and humble game. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
