Fantasy Mosaics 18: Explore New Colors is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didn't seem as good as earlier versions I enjoy mosaic puzzles. They help me relax and think. This version didn't seem as good as earlier versions. I got the feeling of it being more recycled then new. If you don't have a lot of experience or haven't done many previous versions then this is enjoyable. I wish that when items appear in the courtyard there was a way to identify them. Otherwise they just seem to be a collection of animals and oddities. I couldn't figure out the theme.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Horrific picture We've played through all of this series as it came out they are mildly entertaining and allow you to think about other concerns while you play. We've just bought no. 18 and started through it. Like anyone who's played I know some of the pictures and/or titles are a little bizarre. However when I reached game 4 of no.3 I was horrified and disgusted to find that it depicts a man with a whip forcing a lion to perform tricks in a circus. I'm very glad to say that this is illegal in the UK. It's repulsive as a puzzle in such a light hearted game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointingly short I don't like spending money on a game I can finish in just a few sessions. the puzzles were ok or I wouldn't have played it in the first place. but to end after 20 sessions should be put in your description of the game. Not all of us are rich.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Same Ol...Same Ol.... As much as I like these games and the new colors there are some things that are just unacceptable seeing as though this is #18 in the series. I HATE how when scrolling like 10 in a row, it doesn't stay in line and goes up into the other column making you lose. It happens a lot of the time and I feel like by #18 they should have fixed this problem. I also would like to fix something up rather than just see things appear by a bridge. There are always 20 levels, there are never any puzzles past 20x20 and I wish they would do some harder ones. Or at least release a game that just has levels 15x15 and up because most of us who like these games get really bored with the same boards. Also the new colors are nice but most of the things to fill in now are just face colors and that gets a bit boring. The pictures weren't all that amazing even though I did like the animal ones near the end like the frog. I also wish that there was a way to change the look of the tiles like in other games like this. There is another nonogram game that lets you pick tiles that look stitched or tiled and also has achievements. As much as I like to relax while playing this series I just wish they would raise their standards a bit and fix the things that haven't changed since the first installment. I can live with all my complaints except the tiles not staying in the column when drawing a straight line because that makes me lose my progress and when I am really close to beating a level and then the lines moves...well then its not a relaxing game anymore is it?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ho Hum. But I'm addicted, so... I am addicted to picross. We need PA - Picross Anonymous. I buy them all, and it's about the only games I play, anymore. This has never been my favorite series. Your basic picross with autofill. They are much too easy, and the more colors they add, the easier they get. Though I am glad to see people with regular skin instead of the third degree sunburns of past games, LOL. I thought maybe this time we'd get a real garden, after the bridge was installed, but, nope. Just another silly-looking, spaced out animal graced the next levels. I do enjoy doing these to relax, because they ARE childishly simple. But if I want a mental workout, I prefer the Rainbow Mosaics, or even harder, Hidden Clues. Then there are the 8-Floor games I seem to be alone in loving, LOL. Actually, I have a love/hate relationship with those. I've learned that screenshots are my friend... Anyhow, I bought it. With a credit, even. I'll have a sad if another Rainbow Mosaics comes out this week, though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too easy I like these games where there is a good challenge. I find that even in the earlier versions of this series there were generally only a few grids that were hard enough to make me think. The rest are a bit easy, This one looks pretty but the addition of the colours make it pathetically simple to solve. I would much rather have a boring one that challenges me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More boring mosaics I started playing the mosaics puzzles as a way to pass time. The story-line was interesting enough at the beginning but that is also becoming boring, and the droning background music is so repetitious I'm starting to switch it off. The first few were actually challenging. They got less and less challenging with each new colour. They are so easy to do now with 6 colours even a first grader can do them. Even the colours are getting worse. I'll be passing this one over.
