Santa's Toy Factory: Nonograms is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good game! Another good game from griddlers. I like that it takes more concentration than some of the other nonogram games. I like a challenge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprise - Tougher Than It Looks! Give this one a try - you may be pleasantly surprised at the challenge it provides!! I was about to write this off as way too easy. After all, it was only 1 color, instead of the flashy multi-color puzzles we are used to now, and the pictures are only so-so. And the early puzzles were all as simple as I expected. Then I got to #13. I was about to write this off too, now with a sneer, since it seemed it could only be solved by guessing....a big no-no for nonograms. And then I realized I was wrong. It was perfectly solvable strictly by logic, but I had to work hard to provide ENOUGH logic. And I actually had to WORK at it. What a pleasant surprise after many other games where the logic is so blatant & simplistic that it makes the puzzles easy. Subsequent puzzles continued making me work to solve them. Hard to believe a simple 1-color game could revive the challenge that made me love nonograms in the first place!! Give this one a chance - it has more to offer than 1st glances might imply! That said, there are some things I did not like about it. Its 7's look way too much like its 1's. And it marks off numbers in the clue as soon as IT decides they are satisfied, even if you have not realized you got it yet & have not put in the blocking X squares. I personally hate this because it leads me to errors when I often then do not "see" the dimmed numbers and think I'm working on a different part of the clue. And at least once, the marking was premature (ie, they marked off an initial "1" when there was an earlier unmarked square that "could" have been the 1). Nonetheless, I'm willing to overlook the drawbacks for the fun of having a challenging game...and so early in the sequence - usually takes games way longer than the 13th grid to start being hard. I dont normally write reviews, but this game had none so far, was only a soft-release today, and on first impression was easy to write off as too easy, a game easy to be overlooked....and yet proved to be a gem if you just hung with it long enough. Give it a try - hopefully you'll be similarly pleased with the unexpected challenge!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, solid griddler - no bells and whistles. This is the 2016 Christmas griddler from 8 Floor. That pretty much says it all. You either like their games or you don't. I am one of those who do. Single color, increasing difficulty, and little or no guesswork. Pros: CHALLENGING! Consistent quality Cons: Single color No autofill Numbers cross off automatically No story at all Some things could be better, but if you like your griddlers challenging, and can live with one color... These are fine and dandy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so interesting... I love griddler games, but this one is too unlogical. I need to guess too much. Where is a story? Only griddler puzzles without any story or Christmas spirit :-( Not a buy for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HO HO HUMDRUM I have a problem with this game on so many levels. First of all it's a no frills griddler game with only one color, combat green. The pictures your finished puzzle make are basic and most I couldn't even begin to guess at what it was supposed to be. Speaking of guessing, these are supposed to be puzzles that are solved using logic, however, with these puzzles you are forced to either guess at which tiles to fill in or cross off (which is taboo in the griddler world) OR you have to use one if not several Hints, that's not logical, and it's certainly not "tougher than it looks" to be forced to do one or the other. When I solve a griddler game, I want a challenge, but I don't want to be forced to use a hint because every row and column has 10 empty cells that I have to guess where a single filled in tile goes with no other possible choice. How is that logic? Bah Humbug!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same old 8 Floor Developer's just changed the theme and the music, if you own one of these type games from them that's all you need. Boring and not for Christmas.
