Antique Shop: Lost Gems London is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Match 3 I try every Match 3 game that comes along, as I am a big fan. I loved the game mechanics of this one in particular, so had to write a review. The previous game 'Egypt' had glitches and I ended up deleting it. I hoped this one would not have any. I played it right through without a problem. It requires lots of strategy to get through, which I like. It lends itself to counted Match 3 because of this, but you can play without it if you want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I couldn't stop playing I loved this game so much I had to play nonstop until demo ran out & promptly bought it. It is like a breath of fresh air M3 wise, as it has an interesting if not slightly strange story, that takes you to different places/rooms around London. I liked the graphics. I played relaxed (until I get used to the rules). The tutorial is excellent & easy to understand (whilst it is turned on) & shows what to do on each level ie goals - remove silver tiles & so many gems etc. There are satisfying explosions, you are told when you have enough gems to upgrade, also swirling "things" that can rotate & also a slider, hammer etc - but not all on the same level @ once. Also crates that hide gems, key to unlock more board & more. There are also achievements which are earned, which help further. I think this is worth trying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Different M3! Loved the graphics (wish I could have viewed the scenes for a few more seconds before they disappeared) although I'd prefer the playing board was a bit bigger. Sound effects were awesome, music pleasant. No technical problems and quick matching. Along with some unique bonuses/weapons = different than usual game play. I did need to play a few boards to understand how and/or how best to use some of the features and then I was having a blast (literally!) and was disappointed when the demo ended. A for-sure buy for me! If you're an M3 fan, I highly recommend you give the demo a try. This one's definitely not your run-of-the-mill game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YES! Hints can be turned off! WhooHoo...............!!!!!!!!!!!!! Available at BFG in 2017. WHAT I REALLY LOVE ABOUT THIS GAME: *You can turn 'HINTS' off! You do this from the options page. So you don't get those annoying flashing arrow-examples helping you (if you don't want them), and there's no rush to make a decision to beat the 'hint!' But if you do want them, that's ok too! *You can choose to play a "MOVES" based. So you have a limited number of moves, which aren't timed! So you can use your skill to try and make 4 and 5 match combos which earn you rewards, as well as do whatever else the goal is. *I Iove the gems, especially the extra shiny ones...can't help it! (IF they did ones with beautifully decorated cakes...ooh. that would be awesome too..I can always wish.) *The sound effects are great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC MATCH 3 GAME HOWEVER........... I loved this Match 3 game, but I kept having freezing issues. I remember that the first game in this series, Lost Gems Egypt (Jan. 2016) had an issue with losing power-ups in the 3rd city, which was immediately addressed and updated to solve the issue, so if this is a glitch and not my computer's fault, I'm sure it too will be fixed. Don't let that deter you from trying the demo, because it's a really good Match 3 game with very unique features and fantastic graphics. (and it's probably my computer's issue not the game) You can set the graphics with 3 different option choices, I tried the highest, and then the lowest graphics, and I really didn't notice that much of a change, they are still excellent on the lowest setting. In Lost Gems Egypt, you searched diligently for your missing Cousin Emily, and discovered that she was trapped inside of a cursed book, the Book of Souls. Hiding within the book's binding, was a map that led to her rescue. The sites of the rituals that created the book, manifests dark energy on the map. Using the board to purify corresponding sites, in physical London, will purify the map and weaken the book, one Match 3 at a time. This is a swap type Match 3 game, available in a Casual mode or Limited Moves mode, and there are several Achievements to earn as well. The level goals are shown at the bottom of the board, and usually consist of clearing all Silver cells and removing a specific number of specific tiles. Matching 4 tiles will earn you an explosive Bomb on the board, which is color specific, and must be used in a match of that color to detonate. A Match 5 will give you a Color Destroying Pearl on the board to destroy all identical colored tiles, of whichever tile it is matched with, on the board. Some tiles are Locked, and cannot move until they are used in a Match with whichever tile is locked, some of them require multiple matches. As you progress, Power-Ups become available with upgrades. The power-ups can be used several times, but must be refilled after each use by matching special Lost Gems. The Slide Row power-up, allows you to slide the tool up or down to select a specific row, and then you can drag that chosen entire row, to the left or right, to help you line up matching tiles. The Rotate Tile Power-Up allows you to choose a 4 cell area (2x2) by first dragging it to the chosen cell, and then rotating all 4, 2x2 cells, to line up a match. This feature is usually a necessity when a silver or locked tile is being blocked by an unmoveable blockage. Special Lost Tiles must be collected to refill this meter as well. Because of my freezing issues, I wasted a lot of demo time, and didn't get the opportunity to discover what other power-ups were available, but the two features I mentioned are truly unique and make the game really interesting. I'm hoping I can solve the issue and continue playing this addicting little Lost Gem Match 3 game, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liked the first one more [review based upon completed limited moves game] Pros: good challenge level and storyline, lots of powerups, casual/limited move options Cons: graphics downgraded from previous game, slightly clunky play action 100 levels with endless mode unlocking after you finish. This game is a continuation of Antique Shop: Lost Gems Egypt with the conclusion of the storyline begun in that game. The game now picks the powerups for you at the beginning of each level instead of you having the choice, which is sometimes frustrating. There is also the added twist of some powerups not working on certain spots of boards. I only played the limited moves mode, which starts out really easy for the first 30 levels but gets seriously hard by the time you get to level 60 or so. There are 3 different graphics settings but I didn't see much of a difference between them. To me the visual quality looks poorer than in Lost Gems Egypt, and it was hard for me to distinguish yellow/green and pink/red bombs. The soundtrack is quite atmospheric and well done, as was the story. I didn't have the tech issues some players have reported in the game forum, but did notice a slight clunkiness in moving the tiles while using the Frenzy powerup - sometimes it seemed like the tiles wouldn't move unless I dragged on them twice. The levels start getting repetitive after the first 50 levels because for some reason you no longer have to collect "lost gems" after the halfway point, only clear tiles. I have to wonder if the 1 million gems trophy was a programming error as it appears one would have to replay the entire game around 30 times on the same profile to win it. The rest of the trophies are also of the "playing long enough" sort but are attainable in one run through the game. Not a bad sequel, but didn't pull me in as much as the first game.
