The Tuttles: Madcap Adventures is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome family fun! I absolutely loved this game. It follows the misadventures of the Tuttle family as they make their way to the Alamo. The characters are brilliantly designed. The story is excellent. Graphics is good. It is a platform game so if you enjoyed playing Turtle Odyssey then you will definitely enjoy playing this one. I only wish the trial was longer than an hour because I would have loved to see how the story ends :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meet the Tuttles! This is an awesome platform game. I was immediately intrigued by the realistic, yet humorous storyline that accompanies the game. The graphics are pretty decent and the gameplay is quite enjoyable. The levels are not only completable, but you can go back and replay them if you missed something. If you are a platform game fan, this is one game for you. I think it's even better than Supercow (which is a pretty awesome game). The only thing that would make this game better is having an 'achievement' section for winning trophies like in other games. Other than that, it's a winner in my book. Just don't let Barry Tuttle install it. LOL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where did this come from? This is one of BFG's gems, but it's definitely an unlikely one. Back in 2007 an obscure, celebrity-voiced PC game was released by a non-profit children's medical organization called Starlight Children's Foundation. An all star cast of well known celebrities donated their voices to the project as a means of fundraising. What came about was a hilarious bad, (so bad that it's good) family oriented PC game that probably went unappreciated and unacknowledged by many. The graphics are definitely not great by today's standards or for the time it was released, but that's not important. The game shines in its gameplay, voice acting, and visual style. It's campy and intentionally bad in dialogue, as the pacing and editing of the game would suggest. I am sure there are many who would become easily irritated by the repetitive sound effects, but the cut-scene style story segments are pure gold. On top of this, the actual gameplay is incredibly solid and actually FUN. It's truly a family game, as the difficulty is pretty easy, and its content is geared towards children for the most part. Overall, this is definitely worth a game credit if you are a fan of platform games and you have a child in the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tuttles: Madcap Adventures Great game. I don't really like the music but maybe it's just my taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Challenging and Fun! Great voices, hard at times!!! Definitely worth a buy. You get to play as 4 different characters with different capabilities. Entertaining voices. Challenging platformer, for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Madcap Platforming Fun! There are already a couple of great reviews of this game, but I thought I would add my "two-cents". I had no idea what the story was behind the making of this game. It is wonderful that so many great actors donated their vocal time to benefit a children's charity. Their voices just added that little bit of extra fun to the game. That being said, let's talk about the gameplay. It is a typical platformer. Others have compared it to Supercow and Turtle Odyssey. I would have to totally agree and I have purchased and replayed both those games several times. However, I want to add one more to that comparison and it is "Scuba in Aruba". I can't tell you for sure, but I would almost swear that the same creators who made that game also made this game. The water segment with the scuba gear, etc. looks almost identical to "Scuba in Aruba". (Give that game a shot if you haven't already.) The Tuttles are on a family trip to the Alamo with a bunch of crazy stuff happening along the way. Each member of the family sets out on each level on their own to battle monkeys, spiders, scorpions, cannibals, on and on. The son gets to do the water levels, while Mom, Dad, and daughter get to go through the desert, jungle, or mountains. Then there are the levels that all of them, along with their in-vehicle narrator played by William Shatner, fly in the family van trying to dodge all the birdies in the sky, telephone poles, rock formations, towers, all the while picking up goodies along the way. The story is pretty simple and mildly enjoyable. This is definitely a "family game" that you could play with your young children or grandchildren. Or, it can also be enjoyed by an old lady like me who likes platformers. My only negative against this game is that it was quite short. Additionally, it says at the end that you have unlocked playable bonus levels, but I have tried unsuccessfully to find these bonus levels. I hope maybe I have added a little to the conversation about this game. If nothing else, maybe just give it a quick trial. You should know pretty quickly whether you like this game or not. And, right now it is $2.99...what a deal! (I just bought it yesterday and it was $6.99 so I don't know if this is just a temporary price reduction).
