World of Goo is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! A game of physics that proves that physics can be fun! The goal is simple, collect as much goo as possible. BUT, you have to use goo to build bridges, towers, strings, and other structures. The more goo you use, the less you can collect-and in there is one of the biggest challenges. The goo connect to each other, but, well, they are 'goo', so the structures aren't solid-they wiggle and stretch. If you aren't careful, your structures will collapse. (Sometimes you can use that to your advantage-hint, hint!) As the game goes on, the tongue-in-cheek developers add in more and more physics challenges. By the end of the game, the goo world itself has changed-as has the goo. Truly the developers must have had fun making this game, and I had fun playing it. There was one EXTREMELY frustrating level that involved fire, bombs and a lot tapping dexterity. I had to walk away from the game for a while. But I went back, got it done and truly enjoyed the rest of the game. Don't give up if you hit a challenging level, just rethink it-or do what you did a little faster-sometimes speed-building matters. Buy it. It's different from ANY other game I've played on BigFish and it is worth the buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different and challenging Every level of this puzzle game has a twist, and you don't quite know how you solve each one, yet somehow it just clicks and you feel a great sense of achievement reaching each level goal. And just when you think you have worked it out, there's a new goo introduced, and some new way to reach the exit. I haven't finished it yet - but I like doing one level at a time, and keep coming back to it. Am on the fourth area now, and it's kept me amused for weeks. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why has this game not got a 'hot' rating yet? It should have! This game is amazing....stunning original graphics and soundtrack, darkly humorous, sort of Tim Burtonesque, while being a real challenge for children and adults alike. My husband is a structural engineer and wishes this had been part of his degree coursework. One of the only games that truly fits the 'brain teaser' category while being fun. A complete break from hidden objects and match three rubbish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really GOO(D) - A guy's review Well, if you love solving puzzles in a strategic way (think Lemmings, Pushover) than you can't go wrong with this game. Not since already mentioned Lemmings have I played equally engaging puzzles where the goal is to "save" as many as possible. Next to Lemmings the most comparable games would be bridge building games usually found on cell-phones. And it can be equally (if not more) challenging. Here your brain will get a proper exercise, and it might test your patience at times. As you progress through the game you come across several new "goo's" that have their own special function, which offers new challenges and ways to solve things, and it keeps it interesting. Also, every "goo" you can save over the limit that is set gets collected to an own place where you can use them to build your own tower. There is even an online scoring system, and you can see what others have come up with in the "free build tower". If you have the game hooked up they will even show in the background of your own. The graphics is nothing special, but perfectly fine. Everything looks smooth and moves smoothly too, but with a simple artistic style. Though, I don't see how it would play better with better graphics, the minimalistic graphics is almost necessary for this type of game. I can't comment on the music. I can't even remember how it was LOL. So at least it can't be very intrusive. I recommend this game to anyone who likes strategic puzzles and likes a challenge. It should suit young and old both. TJ
