Vampireville is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Likeable Vampires?! Yep, Right Here!! This little game was absolutely anything but scary and the vampires were a hoot! The game had 24 chapters but they were short. However, much to do in each one, fun tasks, loaded with hard to find HOs, challenging mini puzzles and games. No click penalty (thank goodness) so have at it...my finger was screaming at times to stop already (lol) ! The game had such quirky characters, not one unlovable vampire in the whole bunch. Each had their own unique personality and that made the story even more delightful. They were very plastic and stiff moving but still had a very "Come closer, I won't bite" quality about them. Make sense? My favorite vampire was Glenfield. The St. Bernard ghost was a sweetie. I just loved them all and the story was so funny, I had a really great time with Vampireville. Let me say I was very attached to the main character, Michael ( not a vampire) ! Even though he did not blink, had no facial expression or movement of any kind really, I just adored him! He actually (IMO) bears an uncanny resemblance to Keanu Reeves, right down to his not so good acting and his poor accent. It reminded me of his role in a Dracula movie some years back. But who cares when he is so doggone cute. Right?? I hope you do not pass this game up...it is very entertaining, different, full of humor and void of bloody neck biting. Very cute story...I think you will enjoy this a lot ! I highly recommend it ! One final note...exit the game only after a chapter has been completed. Otherwise you will lose your progress and will have to replay that entire chapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOL! This game is a "light hearted, campy, for pure fun" game. It's appropriate for PG 13 and above. I wasn't expecting to laugh when I first checked it out. I've owned this since 2013, and still enjoy going back to it. Easy on the brain and oddly amusing. Does the main character look similar to Keanu Reeves to anyone else? And the "boss", like Mr. Scrooge... If you want some light hearted fun, then give this a spin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A truly funny, amusing game!! Loved this game!. If you're looking for high end graphics alone...not the game for you. But if you want to have fun, laugh a lot and enjoy the storyline and the characters...this is the game for you. Great voice overs. I absolutely loved this game. What a breath of fresh air! I don't think you'll be disappointed. Take a break from the "heavy" storylines and give this game a go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A light-hearted game with lots of blood At first I was really unsure about this game. The story starts out as a direct rip from "Dracula." The game's "Renfield" character appears on the screen as a photograph of a real human being in the middle of 3-D graphics, which was very odd. But soon after the game's "Harker" character arrives at the castle, the story comes into its own. The characters have a lot of personality. It's hilarious that their attitude is, "Of course I'm a vampire! What did you expect? What's so odd about that?" Your end goal is to not only solve a decades-old mystery about who the castle's rightful heir is supposed to be, but to help other characters have a happy ending, as well. Then at the end of the game you get cute little wrap-ups from each character, telling you what happened to them after the main story ended. Very satisfying conclusion. All characters are fully animated and the voice-acting is excellent. I found some of the puzzles to be too difficult, but there's nothing you can't get a hint for or skip entirely if you need to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a fun fun fun game !!! This is one of those games that just surprises you and you end up having just a really fun gaming experience !! It was funny, not a bit scary...teens would like the characters... the mini games were fun and helped move the story along... The HOS were just the right challenge for this sort of fun game,I did use the hint button a few times and I like having to move curtains back or opening closets and hidden safes , that sort of thing... You end up just really liking the characters and the story line is cute,I would totally say "PLAY THIS GAME"... good graphics and music and the voice acting was not so bad ... As always,Happy Gaming Everyone !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant game! Great one to play with young children. This game is just plain fun. Took me over four hours to complete, and I skipped three minigames (after trying them for a while). For those bemoaning the lack of games for the 'early reader' age group, I think this game fits the bill perfectly. The 'lists' are only given a few words at a time, and then there are "find the shapes", and a whole lot of "Find 20 of <insert item>" all of which can be done by kids with a bit of coaching. There's a rearrange the letters to make simple words puzzle, and rearrange the lines of a letter (twice). The first picture puzzle is just rotate the pieces in place, nothing to swap. The scenes had to have been done with the young 'uns in mind. So much of the game screen works like a pop-up book. Things sliding everywhere, a jack o' lantern that comes out every time you click its cubby, toy cars that honk and move when you click on them. The voice over scenes were done well, the characters aren't too deep, and don't expect many plot twists. The hidden objects are everywhere (it's primarily a HOS game), but they're doable - just search under, beneath, behind... A lot of the objects aren't out in the open making this one of the most interactive HOS games I've played. The puzzles get harder as the game goes on, but there's that skip button if you need it. One of the largest 'untangle' the strings puzzles I've seen, a nice version of solitaire, Towers of Hanoi twice (this is a great one to physically set up with a kid and have her move the boxes or books or whatever herself to try and figure it out). The puzzles become progressively more difficult as the game goes on. ["This one's a bit too hard for Grandma, let's skip it, ok?"] Nothing too scary, nothing too creepy, nothing dark and gruesome. Think "The Addams Family" meets "Scooby Doo". Just a funny, well done game to relax with. Wholeheartedly recommend this game :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun I have had this game for three years and I have lost count of the number of times I have played it. I never gets old. The gameplay is good and the characters likeable with a straighforward storyline. The graphics are crisp and clear and the colours vivid. And even after all this time it still makes me laugh out loud. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QUIRKY AND FUN CHARACTERS WITH A FLARE FOR FASHION CHAPTERS: There are 24 chapters, most ranging from 10-15 minutes in length – my favorite chapters were Rover’s Savings and a later chapter where Rover writes his will to dispense his accumulated wealth. [Rover was the head of the castle’s security and was apparently paid handsomely.] SAVING: The game is saved only at the end of each chapter. If you leave before finishing it, you will need to replay the chapter from the beginning. But recall that the chapters are fairly short. The total game took about 6 hours (I couldn’t figure out how to skip a puzzle so had to use the W/T for a couple of them when I knew I was never completing it in less than an hour). HOS and PUZZLES: HOS and puzzle pieces are spread over 2 screens. Everything in the landscapes open up or moves, so don’t be afraid to explore. You don’t get a traditional HOS; instead you find objects in the scenes, whether out in the open, in cupboards or behind pillows. It is somewhat difficult to find small objects, especially when the screen is on the dark side. I really liked the puzzles and mini-games – there were a wide variety and the complexity ranged from standard fare (only a few) to rather complex (most of them). I think my favorites were constructing a ladder (in an innovative manner) and playing golf (which seemed to take forever to get the golf balls in the holes). CHARACTERS: All characters except the investigator inspecting the castle and his boss are vampires. Don’t know who the quirkiest character is – I guess I lean toward the butler who is so “peculiar and droll and dry and straight.” But the maid with her nose and brow rings and constant earphones and the gardener’s daughter with her sideways baseball cap and large hoop earrings are close seconds. All characters are humorous (and it seems to come so naturally). ENDING: The ending gave closure to all characters, one of which was rather surprising.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vampires with a twist Vampireville is one of those games that sneaks up on you. When you first begin it will seem like the same ole same ole, but go on. You'll meet the fun "characters" of Malgray Castle. They are a HOOT! The story draws you and the personable Michael is a good looking dude. It's a fun play which will keep you smiling with the character , especially my personal favorite, ROVER
