Fear For Sale: Mystery of McInroy Manor is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Love Story In Disguise? Just guessing, as I have not finished the game yet. I have been playing for so many hours my bottom is NUMB, so I am writing my review during a standing up break ! So far, it is a very good game with a few puzzles and many HOGs. The HOGs are quite challenging and I love that. Lots of back and forth, as there is no map. The journal keeps me on track and the hints I just use to point me in the right direction so I am not needlessly going to a location that is of no use. I think the game is creepy in a very subtle way, have not seen anything really scary yet. The graphics are very good & crisp which I appreciate when playing the HOGs. Very interesting story here, I am anxious to discover what tragedy happened to the family & also find out more about the caretaker who seems a little too suspicious. Well, my butt has recovered so back to the game I happily go! I hope you enjoy the game and write a positive review. I never purchase a game without reading and considering all the reviews. Thanks to all of you who take the time to submit them, it is extremely helpful !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great older title! This was a fun game. The puzzle made sense the HOPs were old school, but still good. Tricky enough to be challenging, but not hard enough to be frustrating. The plot was good, not amazing, but it made sense in the very least. The extra game play while not necessary for the plot was treated with the same care as the rest of the game and its puzzles also made sense. Overall a great older title suitable for kids and adults! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fear For Sale: Mystery of McInroy Manor SE The editors of the Fear For Sale magazine have paid a hefty price for exclusive rights to investigate this haunted manor. The magazine has sent their best investigative journalist, Emma Roberts, who has a ghostly encounter within minutes of her arrival! Lady Averill greets Emma at the front gates, pleading with her to rid the grounds of the evil presence that binds her and all the other spirits roaming the grounds. The first thing Emma must do, is find out what happened that fateful night nearly a century ago when police discovered Lord and Lady McInroy dead, as well as all their servants! I've always been a huge fan of the Fear For Sale series, but for whatever reason, I overlooked this first episode, as well as the Sunnyvale, so I can't wait to find out more about the McInroy family! For an older game, the graphics are still pretty decent, which would have been over the top in it's heyday. There aren't any frills, no Morphs or Collectibles, but the storyline makes up for it. The Collector's Edition has 8 Achievements to earn, but most of them are done as percentages, for example, each HOS you complete without a hint will keep tabs such as 6/31 HOS completed without using a hint. The Hidden Object Scenes are just simple listed items with no interactions required, some items are multiples such as 3 fish, 2 crosses etc. The scenes are dark enough to be creepy, but bright enough to make items recognizable. The Mini Games are entertaining, such as turning several tokens with different shaped connectors, to allow the electrical current to flow freely from one end to the other. The Collector's Edition has 8 Achievements, Screensavers, Wallpapers, 31 Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Puzzles, Music, Concept Art, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome! one of the spooky games I ever played at the time. and 'till now I still love it and feel fun when I play again. remember the McInroy story, because it will continue for another series and more deeper I think (your enemy it's same afterall) good job EleFun (at the time)! keep work hard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from as others have commented Hidden objects are too dark and hard to see, but since this is the first in a series, this is acceptable as a developer's debut. The suspense kept me going until the end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Really Good Hidden Objects Game Though the storyline didn't end as good as I expected, I think it's still a pretty challenging hidden objects game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dont judge the game by its cover! I wasnt too sure about this game so downloaded it 1st before buying and boy was i surprised. Took a little while to get into it but i couldnt wait to find out what would happen next. HO scene were a bit hard for me but apart from that i really enjoyed it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good game. The Mystery of McInroy Manor was a pretty good HOG. It had several very good HOS and a couple that were just too dark. The game is light on puzzles, which pleases me since I dislike and usually skip all puzzles. The story line was actually interesting, unlike many of this genre. I actually wanted to know how it would end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Relaxing, fun game Overall, a great, easy, fun game. Nice graphics. Things were a little hard to find in the HO's. I'll play this one again just because it was fairly easy and relaxing. No perplexing puzzles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best HOG so far This game was a special bargain last week, so I decided to try it out. It's the best computer-based HOG I've played (I tend to prefer the genre on iOS). This one was great because there were very few annoying sparkles, lots of exploring, and much more overall gameplay than most HOGs. Some reviewers have criticized the "toing and froing" but it makes quite a bit of sense in this one--almost as though, having been in one space, you later recall that there was something you might use in another space. I loved not having everything handed to me, even though the darkness of the picture sometimes made finding everything a bit difficult.
