Vampire Saga - Welcome To Hell Lock is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Don't Know How I Feel About This Game I gave 5 stars just to be fair...no fault of the devs if I can't decide if I like it or not. It was a bit difficult to figure out what to do and how to do it in the beginning, but once I got it, I had no trouble. I was really hoping for a good vampire tale but my hopes were shattered. The music was good, the sound of footsteps kept me on edge a little. The scenes were all perfect for something really scary to happen...I always had that sense of urgency to move on before a vampire materialized. But alas, NOTHING happened but a lot of back and forth, round and round, back to the same old locations way too many times to achieve anything. The photo album helped ease the frustration somewhat once there were enough pics to use as a jump map. The HOGs repeated themselves and made it very boring and all the items I found the first time were right back in place when the scene was revisited. Why not a new HOG each time to make it more interesting? I wish there had been some adventure and some vampire interaction. After ending up in the mine, I thought for sure the pace would pick up. NOPE, no such luck! However, I am sure this game was fun for others who played, who did not take the time to write a review. For a vampire story it was just "too empty" of the qualities I personally look for in a supernatural tale. Maybe the sequel will be better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oldie but a Goody. I really enjoyed this game. It was one of the first hidden object games I played. It was in a box set Mystery Masters: Legends of Terror - 20 Pack along with it's other's in the series. We played in 2014/2015 and both my husband and I enjoyed this game and the others in the series. Put up against some of the newer release of 2015 no the graphics are not as good, there isn't a custom mode, no voice overs, hint takes a lot longer to fill up but that's what made the games much more challenging and fun! I may just purchase this game from big fish when I finish all the other newer games I just purchased. I liked one in this series better then the others but can't remember which one so I may just demo all the vampire saga games. I love vampire stories, movies, TV and games sadly nothing new and exciting out right now so the old game will have to suffice. Actually, I have to say some of the newer games with the bright graphics and in and out of the camera give me a headache it's nice to go back and play a simpler, darker game. I would recommend you at least try this game. I personally liked it a lot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a really good game you have lost your memory and so you take pictures as you go and that is how you can move from one place to another. that is there in place of a map. there is a journal. the HO scenes are not too crowded and there is a lot of back and forth but with the pictures and the photo album it is not too bad. graphics were good. didn't have sound on. good game. i played on casual. hint/skip buttons charge pretty fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ELEMENTS THAT I LIKE IN A HOG I enjoyed this game because I didn't have to traipse around. You take a pic at each new location and when you want to go there you just open the book with the pics...click on one and then click on GO There. Also there were "gears" to show you where something needed doing. HO scenes were good because the item would light up green when you were near it and get darker when you were closer. IF you don't want to use the pics the hint button would tell you which way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Different and Excelent Game This is a different game. It has many different locations but taking picture of them and moving location to location through the pictures makes the game easy and user friendly. The HO are easy to find because the name highlight green when the cursor pass close by. Sometimes I got bored going to the same locations looking for objects but this way make things easy and the game goes fast so you don't get bored. I loved the story line. The graphics are no the best but this is somehow an old game. It's worth to buy at least for $4.99 or if you get the $2.99 deal go for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you on the Edge of your Seat! Really enjoyed this game! I'll tackle story first as many seemed to think the game lacked in this area. For me - I disagree! This game is all about Suspense! I felt the story was metted out very nicely - one little suspenseful piece at a time! Yes - you do wander around the town alone - but you never know what will be around any given corner - what piece of the puzzle you might uncover next! This kept the suspense high & for me kept the game most interesting! The pace was great too - a relatively calm start - lots of exploring and heightened pace near the end where you are practically flying from location to location! I am stunned this is not a Collector's Edition - you sure get a LOT of game play for a standard price! Game ran very well - did lock up once, but I didn't lose any of my game (whew!). The interactive map made this game! You can walk back and forth if you prefer - but you can check the map for "hot" areas & jump from scene to scene if you want to speed things up! Also a great mix of items you use right away & things you need to keep track of for later. Hidden Object scenes were challenging without being blindinly difficult. Lovely graphics as well - but there is a creep factor for sure! Happy Gaming!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from still a great game! Love it! I just finished playing this game. Even now in 2015 this is a very nice game. Heavy on the HOS, but that's normal for this older type of game. Storyline is great, that's why I couldn't put it away and had to keep on playing till the end. Music adds to the atmosphere of the game, but there are no voices. Good level of difficulty, makes you think in some places. There is a great jump map, and I think you couldn't play the game without it, otherwise you will be in for a very, very long game and more than one pair of sneakers! To be honest, I tend to like these older games more than the new ones, with much better storylines made for adults, and gameplay made for adults. Loved it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EASY ADVENTURE; UNIQUE TRAVELING HOS: Plenty of easy HOS; they are a little on the murky side, but you can still find items. As your cursor gets closer to an object on the list, it will glow green. There is no way to turn this off, but since the list is at the bottom of the screen and I memorize several items on the list before looking, I was able to ignore the green glow. Puzzles: Not too many and pretty easy. MAP: You travel by photograph instead of by map. A photo is taken of every scene and it denotes whether there are any activities pending. You have a choice of traveling by photo (which may decrease the cohesiveness of the game for you) or by moving forward or backward through the scenes. DRAWBACKS: - You have to close each close-up manually. Clicking outside of it doesn't do anything. - You can get a full-screen but not a widescreen setting. - Objects in find list glow green as you move near them whether or not you like that feature. - Graphics aren't the crispest, but still passable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vampire Saga : Welcome to HellLock Great Hidden Object Adventure game with a few puzzles thrown in. Graphics were good and music non-intrusive. No voiceovers. Cut scenes ran smoothly - kind of like a comic strip. I preferred this one to the first - VS: Pandora's Box - which I played immediately prior to this one. Only because the HO's in this game were better. I am not a user of interactive maps as I do like to keep my memory fresh of surrounding areas and remember where you need to use something but I couldn't have enjoyed this game without using the photo album which was great - photos of every area which showed active HO scenes and areas of interest. This VS is not a sequel as such to the first one and they can be played independently of each other as no reference is made in the second to the first. The lady vampire is the same person but that's allowed as she's a vampire and lives forever. I am looking forward to playing the third in the series - VS: Break Out. I definitely recommend this game and also the first.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Addictive! I got hooked on this game right away. It has very little to do with vampires, which was fine by me. The FROGs are a nice change of pace. Nothing is all that new, here, but I found it fun and addicting.
