Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Horror Game! The game amazes me, with good graphics and animation. Furthermore, it also makes me feel the sense of horror! Yeah! If you I like some horror game, I would prefer this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ah-mazing! Gotta say, when I first lay my eyes on this game, I thought it was gonna be another children's game, with nothing interesting. But boy was I wrong. The game is incredible and the story-line is FLAWLESS. This is one of the few games that made me a bit teary eyed at the end. The bonus chapter was also as good as the main story. It's an amazing game and I recommend it for everyone who loves a good challenge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the FINEST games ever! This is an exceptional game. Even for a game that is of an older vintage it is wonderful and, therefore, timeless. If the developers did a redo I'm sure they'd add voice over, improve the animation and the cut scenes.. Despite these deficits, the game is still outstanding and way ahead of its time. It's incredibly fun and it is scary. The music is perfectly suited to the subject matter. It is very challenging but not because it's a mess. Some games are hard because of constant back and forth or poorly designed HOS and because the storylines are nonsensical. This is not the case here. The challenge is real. (I suggest not rushing through Instead enjoy the scenery, the vibrant colors, the "feel" of the music as it anoints this scary game as a thriller. I know this sounds like I'm critiquing something important or cultural or classical...well...in the gaming world, to me, this is all of that. The storyline is the search for a missing husband. (Not a spoiler, you find this out in the first seconds of play.) Everything in the game contributes to this storyline. There is no wasted movement. No unnecessary back and forth. The game pushes on and you know you're making progress. Along the way you'll encounter among the best HOS you will ever see. No repeated objects. Incredibly well hidden...not easy to find, but well worth the search. The challenge isn't because the scenes are cluttered but because the items are just brilliantly designed and hidden. The objects are chameleon-like. As I said, the music-audio is great. The feel of the game, set design, as I like to call it, is great. When you move forward in the game you feel like you've really accomplished something. There are scenes within the chapters of this game that you've never seen before...inventive, creative action. I'm guessing also, way ahead of its time, there are "beyond objects," or morphing objects. I'm not sure what else to say. If you don't like this game, hunt me down and ask me to pay for it. CAVEAT EMPTOR: This is scary. It's not for kids. And if you don't like being scared, don't buy it. (Of course, I'm thinking you won't hunt me down and if you try you won't find me...:) ). I don't think you'll want to do anything but agree with my estimation of this very high-quality game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really good game What a fun game. You feel sorry for the victim an want to complete the game to help him. Good HO and keep you going finding clues to solve areas. If you get stuck the hints are good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Horror HOPA DEMO & COMPLETED MAIN GAME It’s been quite a while since I played Dollhouse Story, and it’s a delightful surprise to rediscover it. It’s a true horror game, and much of it is a little disturbing, but the story grabs you from the beginning and will still have you holding your breath to the very end. While the game starts as many do with the husband mysteriously disappearing, before you even leave the house, it gets different. You are confronted with a creepy voodoo doll who talks, and says he is here to help. Even when he perched up on the hint button, I had my doubts! Once we get to the town of hubbie’s childhood, we get the second item that makes this game unique. It’s a dollhouse, which, when you place dolls in it, tells a little of the backstory. Very intriguing. The final 30 mins of this game are an emotional rollercoaster and it is one of the best endings I’ve seen. That’s all you’ll get from me about the story. But, clearly the game sets you up well for the bonus prequel. The game plays very smoothly, you are kept constantly doing things. There are a lot of HOs in this one, more than there are puzzles, and you visit each twice, but you have so much to do outside the HOs, it doesn’t feel at all HO heavy. Graphics are a little fuzzy (this game is over 2 years old), but you don’t notice for long, and it doesn’t interfere with your ability to find objects. You also have 36 morphing objects to find, and these are mostly hidden well. There are rumours of a sequel, and I am sure I will not be the only one happily awaiting it. Bonus content, apart from the prequel, is the standard wallpapers and other art. Artistically, I think this game does really well, so if you’re into that side of things, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Loved the storyline and the HO scenes. This game really held my interest and I played this game from start to finish in one sitting. Rarely will I comment or review a game here, but this one is well worth it. I recommend the collectors edition of this game! (Bonus game play at the end)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome game! Love the SE very much that I also bought the CE to know the ending of the story. The story is kind of sad, but also creepy. Those who are afraid of clowns, there are plenty here. I love all the extras and the deleted scenes part.. wish they include them in the game.. I have nothing negative to say about this game, except that the SG is located in the menu and have to be accessed from there. Other than that, it's perfection. An awesome game from Alawar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome creepy HOS! I am an HOS super fan that looks specifically for creepy/scary and mystery HO games. BFG doesn't have too many in the creep factor, so I thought it would be impossible to replace my long time favorite, Shiver: The Vanishing Hitchhiker, but this one did. It was creepy, unsettling, and introduced a whole new story line that made the game all the more unique. The graphics were great, as well as the sound effects, and the story line was like a great book that keeps you going until you find out what happens. The bonus chapter in the CE was just enough to tie up the loose ends of the SE and didn't leave me asking questions like some games have. I downloaded, played and beat the game in one day! I just couldn't stop! Highly recommended!
