Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dracula: Love Kills CE WOW! A vampire hunter shot and nearly killed Count Dracula! Left for dead, everyone presumed the creature of the night was no longer a threat, everyone that is except for his loyal servant, Igor, (I thought he was working for Dr. Frankenstein?) who knew the Count was merely unconscious! Igor waited patiently for his master to awaken, and is eager to assist Dracula, as he seeks revenge upon the man who nearly took his life, Van Helsing! Count Dracula has been asleep for a very long time, and his abilities are weak, can he regain his strength before the frightened citizens turn on him? I must admit, I wasn't expecting much from a four year old game, but Happy Birthday to me, it's an awesome game! What unique features, not to mention that you are playing from the vampires perspective not the vampire hunters or even a victim! When you first begin this game you will notice an ability meter with empty icons indicating that you have no abilities.....yet. Eventually you will regain your strength by feeding, on blood naturally! You must decide how you want to obtain the blood, when you encounter a human victim, you are given the choice to feed on the victim which will turn the victim into a vampire as well. Choose wisely, if you choose yes, you will not be given the opportunity to play an extra HOS which will allow you to collect the blood anyway. Eventually you will have 4 abilities, VAMPIRIC VISION which allows you to materialize objects invisible to the naked eye, STRENGTH which will allow you to lift or break heavy objects, TELEKINESIS which allows you to reach out-of-reach objects, ANIMAL FORM allows you to shift into different shapes to access different places. The Hidden Object Scenes are listed items with no interactions, but the items are well hidden. The mini games are going to be different degrees of difficulty, depending on which mode of difficulty you choose under your profile set up page at the beginning. One game I found unique was moving a Dracula token towards his victim in a hedge maze, BUT, as soon as you start to move the token, the screen turns black and you must try to move the token by memory, if you hit the sides of the hedges more than 6 times you must start over! This Collectors Edition has 33 Achievements that you can continue to achieve by replaying the game in either mode. The extra gameplay will only be available after you complete the game in the regular mode. The Extras will unlock after you complete the entire game as well, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I rarely give 5 stars but this time it is well deserved. The plot is enchantingly original, every scene is superbly detailed and artfully executed and the voice acting is (finally) spot-on! What more could I ask for? Except for a sequel, that is... :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game! Just finished playing this game for the second time. I played the difficult setting because I don't like all the glittering. It seems old fashioned, but look again, this is a wonderful game! The humour in it is incredible, the game is made by the voice-overs. There is a lot of talking, which is quite static, but it is told in such a good way you don't mind listening, it makes it fun! Graphics are crystal-clear and beautiful. Not a lot of adventure in this game, but a puzzle-galore!! And they are fun! Vary from simple to very challenging! A lot of HOP's too, quite challenging, most of them visited twice. There is a jump-map with active tasks, and a very helpful hint-button. I can't really put my finger on it why I liked it so much, on first sight I seems so oldfashioned, but I had loads of fun with it, and it's the very first game I played more than once, I guess that says it all. Try it, I hope you'll enjoy it too! Have fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very fun game! There are very few games out there that I have found to be most exciting the first time I played them, and then have the game be just as exciting as the second time i have played them. One of the other games that I can say this about, at least in my opinion, would have to be Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull. Without giving too much away, one of the main reasons that I had so much fun playing this game for a second time is the fact that you can play the game two different ways. One way is where you actually bite and feed on some of the "victims" throughout the game, which gives you a certain outcome. Then you can play the game a second time, without biting and feeding on the "victims" and you get a slightly different outcome. If anyone hasn't played this game as of yet, I cannot possibly suggest playing the 1 hour demo enough, cause you're missing out on so much! The puzzles and hidden object scenes have all be put together very well, with moderate difficult on the puzzles. Thankfully the hidden object scenes are also easy to distinguish what you need to complete each one. The graphics are very clean and the music really adds to the atmosphere, the developers did a very good job on both fronts. There is also a conciderable amount of comedy relief courtesy of Igor, it doesn't distract or take away anything in the game, other than laughing at the absurdity of Igors sense of humor. You also team up with your arch-nemesis, Van Helsing to help stop the Queen of Vampires who is out to destroy the world. A pretty simple and standard story plot, but it's the characters of Dracula, Igor and Van Helsing that made this game so enjoyable to me, and the second game ever that I played more than once. Give the game a download and try it and I know you'll come to enjoy the game just as much as I have! Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure unintentional hilarity at every step My girlfriend and I bought this game after we decided that we just couldn't let a game called "Dracula: Love Kills" pass us by. The title alone was enough to guarantee that we were onto something at least bad enough to be entertaining. Little could we have guessed just how hokey, wonderful, and simply fun this game is. I admit I was expecting something dreadful, whose entertainment value was only in its utter horribleness, but it took me aback by being-- well-- actually quite good. While I wanted to permanently mute Igor's VA every time he spoke, I really enjoyed the Count Chocula-sounding Dracula, the cliched and uninspiring but solid and pretty artwork, and the surprisingly fun puzzles. Most of all, however, having never played a HO game before, I found the bizarreness of the HO puzzles immensely entertaining. "Igor! Ve vill need a gun, a rope, a spider, a hatbox, two frogs, a necklace, and a pair of lips. No questions!" My alternate theory was that Dracula is an incurable neat freak, and can't pass a mess without cleaning it up. Sometimes you have to do a HO puzzle twice in one place: it must be so frustrating to have picked up all the junk people have thrown there, only to return and find it just as untidy as before. I also really liked the in-game achievements. Sadly my profile (named, in homage, Enoby Way) became corrupted and was deleted before I could collect them all, but it gave me a sense of pride to collect the prize for not skipping a single puzzle, or finding ten objects in as many seconds. I'll have to start a new profile (Eboby, perhaps?) and try again, because I definitely think it has at least enough replay value for another playthrough or two. I also got the "bad" ending this time, so I'm curious to know what happens in the "good" ending. Overall, this is a game with solid and entertaining gameplay which is just as awful as it is wonderful, in the very best of ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a Great Game! This was a great game to play! I love the fact that it ventured away from the standard HOG format with being able to earn abilities and taking things down a different path! Anyone who enjoys vampires and the stories of Dracula will certainly enjoy this game! Getting to decide if you do or do not take a possible victim's life! Having to build strength, having to 'earn' abilities... that was a nice change from the usual! The graphics were really nice! The story-line was great! Of course Dracula always is set in a plot where he has to save the love of his lives (ha ha), Mina! But adding to it Van Helsing and then Igor as his faithful assistant was great! That quirky... kind of blonde air about him added a nice personality to the game! For the bonus content, it was really a bonus section! A nice amount of extra game play with the additional features! I would quickly give two thumbs up for this game and tell anyone to give it a try! Good luck in your quest... don't forget to bring the garlic and a wooden stake or two! ;) ~Liz aka Elizabeth1975

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Adventure!! I enjoyed this game I like Hidden Objects but to many is over kill. This game has a nice story line that includes a optional out comes based on decisions you make during play. It has about 10 HOS most of which are repeated scenes. The puzzles are not to hard but there were a few I skipped. The voice over was nice but they were long. The music was a little annoying at time. Th game play is longer than the average game it took me three days to play the entire game.
