Awakening: The Goblin Kingdom is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A princess being stalked! Completed this whole series several times. All 7 are worth having: SE or CE. Sophia, a princess who slept 100 years and awakened to find she is without magic, continues here journey through the Goblin Kingdom to find her family and other humans. Along the way Sophia gains another companion, an owl, along with her pocket dragon. She journey's through beautiful hand drawn scenes, meets cast of amazing goblins, whom she helps by solving puzzles and tasks. And find one goblin that seems to be everywhere she goes, plus who is looking for his hamster. If things could get more insane to enter the goblin castle Sophia must be changed into one herself. As Sophia's story continues, learn how the goblins help Sophia as she helps them. And how she finds out more about the were the humans went in the next exciting part of her journey in: The Skyward Castle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Third Installment Completely Redeemed the Series After my great disappointment with Moonfell Wood I might not have continued the series if I hadn't bought the first three Awakenings all in one shot. So many things to praise here. The game is broken into chapters with new locations so you aren't back tracking through 15 scenes to interact on an starter room. Really makes you feel like you are progressing the story line. The puzzles are more intuitive. They fit the story and theme (castles, etc) A mix of minigames from tangrams, pipe pathways, and match 3s and even a _few_ jigsaws. I was well entertained and pleased. Plus the hidden objects have more interaction as well! Many more characters to meet, interact with and be amused by. Clear, sensible goals from them that keep you immersed in game play. The various achievements that pop up when earned are simple yet still rewarding. Appropriate game length and difficulty. I only skipped 2 mini games and total play duration was 4 hours 6 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Goblin King Is Dead? This is the third game in the Awakening series and the first time to have an available Collectors Edition which has extra features such as Concept Art, Wallpapers, Cut Scenes, Soundtracks and the CE most notorious feature, Strategy Guide, but you have to access this feature through the menu button. I personally think this version is the better buy. Sophia awoke from a 100 year slumber in The Dreamless Castle, she traveled to Moonfell Wood trying to find her people because mankind is nowhere to be found. It is there that she meets a witch who explains that only the Goblin King has the answers she seeks, so here we are in Goblin Kingdom! Our Pocket Dragon is still with us lighting fires and melting ice and getting his belly full of mossflowers, sooner or later we are going to have to give him a name! Mira the fairy has been replaced by Randolf, A.K.A Ran, who is perched upon our shoulder to help us find items or tell us which way to travel next. There still aren't any voiceovers, so you will have to do a lot of dialog reading. As with all of the Awakening games there aren't too many hidden object scenes but there are a ton of puzzles and mini games including Tangram which are different triangular shapes that you need to rotate and place into different larger shapes. There are puzzles which require you to fit several different shaped pieces together, Match 3 games, Spot the Difference and many more fun mini games to enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I miss Mira I played the first two games in the Awakening series; "Dreamless Castle" and "Moonfell Woods". Princess Sophia had help from her tiny fairy friend, Mira. When I started The Goblin Kingdom, I found out Mira stayed in Moonfell Woods. I miss Mira. She would flutter her wings when I asked for help and would perk up after she would recharge. The Goblin Kingdom is really fun, but it's not the same without Mira. Maybe, Mira can start her own game series. That would be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong Third Game With Great Changes! This might be my favorite so far as there was much to do and they changed the interface, which was much needed. Pros: -Visuals -Story is very solid -Loved the Goblin characters -New Interface (love the dragon) Cons: -Some of the puzzles were tricky for me, and I had to skip a few. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 3rd Awakening Game, just as good as the first two This 3rd entry in the Awakening series was terrific. The story flowed through perfectly from the end of Moonfell Wood (though it could be played independently and still be great). One of the things I liked best about this one was that you get to visit quite a few different environments. You start out in the amazing snow mountains above the Goblin Kingdom, explore a small mine, visit the towns and castle, and eventually fly to an enchanted forest inhabited by gnomes living among beautifully designed luminescent mushrooms and crystals. I missed the faery who accompanied you in the first two Awakening games (who has to stay with the faery queen when you leave the Moonfell Wood), but the Owl who joins you in this one was also very likeable. I often consulted him even when I didn't need a hint just to see what he said. As with the first two games, the hidden object scenes and puzzles were fun and inventive, very nicely integrated with the places you were visiting, and were usually just the right level of challenge to stay stimulated (without ever having to experience the frustration of getting stuck).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun beautiful game The storyline continues in more convolute fashion this time. The look is gorgeous, which makes the HOS pleasant indeed (there is even a wonderful variation in whish you have to open cabinet doors one by one to find what you need). The minipuzzles are mostly fun, except for the particular ones that yu are not that good at (we all have these), but that's what the SKIP button is for. In each section you have to navigate betewen five or six rooms going back and forth until you are done. Then to the next section. Some puzzles are quite new (at least to me), and you meet colorful characters along the way. Defintely a must have.
