A Vampire Tale is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 80.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from old style game, but good I love hidden object games, this one was very difficult. I had to replay some areas, because visual quality is poor. But, there are hints, and skip, which make the game playable..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT HIDDEN OBJECT GAME I really enjoyed playing the 60 minute demo on this game. The graphics were good and I especially liked the interesting story. Caroline has to find her father and it takes her from Paris to Transylvania search a mysterious castle and beyond. This is a sure buy for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOGs a plenty I like straight up HOGs. That's exactly what this one is. There's plenty of mini puzzles. I really like the fact that the mini puzzles & HOG scenes don't seem to repeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wonderful, pure HOG game! As a fervent HOG player, I really love this game! do NOT expect an adventure game, you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for one of the nicest PURE HO games, you have found a winner!! - nice storyline, very good VO's - HO scenes very large, sometimes even 2 screens - long lists of objects to find, which I love! - in every scene a bonus object - mini games can be replayed once you played them in the main game - music to intrusive for me, I muted it. All in all, one of the best HO games I ever played! Have to recommend it, for me it was an instant buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This One's For Me This is a straight HOG with mini puzzles. Very challenging. Minimal, lame storyline. Based on the demo. I'm buying it right now. Loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal sound and story... Die hard HOG players and 'wow' seeking gamers may have rated this low, yet if you enjoy a superb STORY along with your graphics (ie wine with your steak versus soda with junk food) PLUS enjoy truly great sound in your games... voice and music, as well as intricately detailed scenes (including the H0G scenes), check this out. I am thoroughly enjoying this great little tale... more 'scary' than the games with bells and whistles (to me) because you have to use your imagination and, in addition, it takes place in realistic, historically correct locations with accurate info. I suggest wearing headphones to truly appreciate the subtle quality in this game as far as the sound factor; it is TRULY IMPRESSIVE! Dialiect and accents are top notch; atmospheric sound... the best. Crickets chirping in the background, etc... nice!!! The dimly lit areas are appropriate to the setting and time of day of each scene. A quality, enjoyable little thrill.... check it out and remember to expect simply done quality, not quantity in terms of the whole package. Thumbs UP! :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Vampires Tale If you like one scene after another of list find hidden object scenes then you're going to love this game. Each scene has a hidden scroll not on the list to find and several items to look for in each scene, some of which are very well hidden. Some scenes can be scrolled back and forth, others are just that current scene. Points are given for each item found and you earn more points for finding items quickly or finding more than one item in a row when there are several to find such as 4 brown leaves. Points are deducted for misclicks and using the hint feature, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Vampire Tale prt 1 I really liked this game, The story and music were really good and easy to follow. Though I do have some minor gripes, the first of all is kind of an elephant in the room, why is the game in parts? To be precise five parts (according to some info I uncovered) it doesn't make sense to me, I'd understand if it was in two parts, but five? I was lost there. Second, while I don't mind voice acting in games because I feel it adds something extra to the game, the accents just didn't seem to fit, especially the fathers accent and voice it just sounded so obviously fake/forced. Third some of the objects were just too hard to find, either because of the lighting/background or because they were so small that there were impossible to find because of said lighting and background. Finally we were timed and scored, why? Personally I don't like those kinds of games were we have to find things in a said amount of time. But that's just me. Anyway, this game is good and I am looking forward to the other parts in the future, I just hope that they aren't as short as this first part.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great HO I do not understand all these negitive reviews, maybe they need glasses. This is a good HO game for expert HOers, lots of HO to find and they are not hard, challenging yes but not hard, if you are not in to HOs then you will not like this game. Why do these people "explain the game" in a review? The story line is good. The only thing I will agree with is Caroline popping up too frequently, but otherwise this is a good HO game as well as the mini games. I do not like music playing while I am trying to play the game, so I cannot comment on that. Visual is good,....dark? Yes, it takes place in 1928 and is about Vampires in a castle duh! But it is not so dark you can't see. The voice overs are really good. It is a good game. There should be more HOs like this, without having to go all over the place to pick up objects to bring back to another scene etc. This is a straight forward HO game! It's about time BF.
