Infected: The Twin Vaccine is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe the best I like I really love this game and played it several times. But it is somehow difficult to describe: what is it ? First it is the atmosphere. It's like leaving your house, or leaving a train, with not much of expectations, suddenly standing on a lonely bus-stop. Of course it's raining... The ambience is realistic which I like most. The music - which normally is of no importance to me - is addictive. I had to use the hint. But not so often. There isn't anything really scary about this game I would say. But it's not the kind of game to play with your children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Loved This Game! This Game Was Amazing, It Was Everything I Love When It Comes To Games BUT The Level Of Challenge Was Weak, Some Parts Were A Little Difficult But For The Most Part It Was All Very Easy, I Like My Games A Little More Challenging But Other Than That It Was One Of My All Time Favorites!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and Refreshing Change of Pace This gem was hiding out in my Game Manager for awhile and I finally got around to playing it. And oh, how I'm glad I did. I want to tip my hat to the developers on this one for their creativity and hard-work. It is obvious from the moment the game begins that this is not going to be an ordinary HOPA; and it isn't. This game is put together extremely well; zero shortcuts. I love the voice-acting. It is phenomenal in this game and really adds to the tension and suspense. We begin the game, not really as a detective, but as a Geneticist sent to find a child that may be holding the key to a cure for a deadly disease in her DNA. She is immune; yet no-one can locate her. So in comes you, the main character, sent to find this missing girl to create a vaccine before this volatile plague can spread any further, Sound like anything you've played before? I thought not. Graphics are incredible, special effects really add to the "I'm all alone in an evacuated town" feel. Medicopters flying overhead; emergency alerts blaring from parked semi-trucks, birds falling from the sky, video messages on cell phones from the height of the pandemic; all of these 'little' things add up and really create the atmosphere. Finding the little girl proves an uneasy task and you must overcome a variety of obstacles (with a little help from a most unusual resident) in order to reach the little girl in time. This game is heavy on the adventure side. There are a few 'puzzles,' but those mostly consist of logical tasks needed to gain entrance to buildings, etc., which I like. I like the logical use of inventory items to progress in the game. The HOS are also done differently and I like this as well. Every item within a scene has a purpose. They are used within the scene to obtain the item you are looking for. I love that as the main character, you aren't clicking on junk just for the sake of clicking on it. You are using everything within that scene to obtain what it is you ultimately need. I would love to see more of this within HOPA games. As this is mostly an adventure game, these creative HOS are infrequent yet fun to do when you come across one. All in all, I cannot find a single thing to complain about with this game. Take every element graded in a game, make a checklist, and place an "A" next to it. This game left room for a sequel, and as this is an older game that I forgot I had, I am hoping to see a sequel released in the near future. Very well done developers; you created an excellent and unique game and I really hope you've been hard at work on a sequel. Keep up the excellent work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Modern Sci-Fi BASED ON COMPLETED GAME It’s got it all. From excellent graphics and sound, to innovative HO puzzles, to challenging adventure gameplay and a gripping story. In a nutshell: • Brilliantly realistic and exciting opening scenes • Real actors incorporated seamlessly • Choose your level of difficulty, including a custom level • Subtle but ominous music accompanying threatening ambient sounds • HOs where each item you find must be used within the scene to get another on the list – the first game to do what is now the most popular adaptation on HOPs • Believable story with emotionally valid conclusion The one thing it DOESN’T have is a useful map. But hint is directional and the game logic is pretty obvious for the most part. And the one thing I wish it didn’t have was a (relatively) long black screen during transitions. But that’s just being picky. The game is simply outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THE GRAPHICS! The graphics in this game are so realistic. I enjoyed the storyline and there wasn't too much back and forth, like some games. My only negative is that I wish it was a little longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now THIS is a HOG worth the money! I played through the CE trial of this game and I have to say I was hooked! This game provides a fantastic challenge to even the most savvy HOG gamers. Take a little of Silent Hill (you know, just for the 'creepy' factor) and add in a touch of the 'carnival of nihgtmares' and you'll have a good feel for this one. Has a good feel like Escape from Ravenhearst, Dire Grove and other like games with the little touch of unease that stays with you even after you've shut the game down. Really a fantastic trip!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intrigue! WOW I have to agree with the other reviews that this is a great game! The only minus (for me) is that the map is not interactive. Love the HOS with the total interaction. Keeps you on your toes. The cutscenes were great and the story itself gets your attention immediately. GOGII has upped the ante for development for the rest of the game developers. Even though this is another somewhat "dark" HOPA, it is worth trying it out! You just may get hooked on it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEARLY PERFECT!! BEST GAME I'VE PLAYED TO DATE BASED ON COMPLETED GAME IN ADVANCED MODE Wow! No other word describes my reaction to this game. From the beginning, I was mesmerized with the story. It's the first game I've played that looked, sounded and felt REAL. It is a scenario that COULD happen and the characters, including mine, reacted in a realistic, human fashion. The IHOS were very clever, with gorgeous graphics and items that related to the plot. The mini games ranged from easy to medium and also related to the plot so that at no time did I feel I had stepped OUT of the plot. Too often in other games, the story comes to a screeching halt when a mini puzzle or HOS comes up because it has no correlation to the story. Not this game!! It is seamless!!! In addition, the music and ambient sounds gave realism to an already realistic game. At no time did I feel lost or confused and I found the answers to movements were logical and linear.. There is minimal running back and forth as the game literally blocks you from non-essential areas. FANTASTIC!! This is the first game that I've played that literally made me question whether I was watching a real newsreel or not. It's that well done. Don't take my word for it, play it yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game! I really do not care for HO's but since there are very few new adventure large file games available I play them. This game is not the typical HO after Ho after Ho. There is so much to do! I think this is the very first game I've played where every single object found is played. There is actually a reason to find it, even in the HO scenes. Good story the mini games are somewhat easy, liked the music and the voice overs in the cut scenes. I know alot of people skip the cut scenes but I think they just enhance the story. The only thing I didn't like was there is delay between scenes, not a smoothe transaction, like if you went through a door it took a few seconds for the room to appear. All in all I really really liked this game and wish there were more like it for people that want more adventure than HOS's.
