Where Angels Cry is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 103.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure Adventure, Murder & Mystery at a Medieval Monastery! You are sent to to Lombardy monastery by the cardinal to investigate the disappearance of a brother and an angel statue that cries blood. There you uncover secrets as you explore the premises that are beautiful and complete tasks to help out your fellow brothers of the cloth. During your investigation you will meet a variety of different people, pick up items to help solve not so easy puzzles (even in easy mode), and find clues that help you along the way. So, grab your hobbit, trusty journal and hiking sandals because you are in for a blessed time when you play this game. There are no HOs in this game. And the price is great because you get all the CE bonuses at the SE price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game I thoroughly enjoyed this game, storyline was good, music was just right, graphics were excellent and the puzzles were just hard enough to be entertaining.. No boring HO's in this game. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys adventure games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshingly good game Very good graphics and ambience. I really appreciated the realistic colors, as opposed to the garish coloring of so many games (e.g. many other games force too much purple, violet, pink, bright red etc. into the scenery). I was pleased with the refreshing uniqueness of the middle ages monastery. Good music and voice overs. No HOSs - which suited my personal taste (I personally wish HOSs in other games had skip buttons, the way that puzzles do, so that when I get tired of them I can move on). You do have to find collections of objects in the environment (which as it was done worked for me). The puzzles were good. They seemed to me to range easy to difficult, with the average difficulty more than that of most Big Fish games. Help was what it needed to be. (I do think that the soup that one prepares early in the game should include more substance; such as lentils, tomatoes, carrots…) Warning, possible spoiler content: I found the ending to be uplifting - terminating a transient corporeal form in order to save the eternal angelic form (this is obviously not to say that terminating corporeal forms is good in general - this was a unique imaginary case). In reading reviews, some interpreted the ending very differently. I appreciate that Big Fish Games is willing to have games that do not exactly fit the BFG norm. That being said, I think BFG should better indicate aspects of games on their web site, such as if it is a children’s game, something akin to PG rating, HOSs or not, mini-puzzles or not… This would help users like myself find the games that suit them, and reduce the extent to which users waist time downloading and trying games that do no suit them, and reduce overly negative reviews for games that do no fit the BFG universe norm. I suspect that the relative uniqueness of this game (within the BFG universe) (e.g. no HOSs) unduly hurt its average user rating. (Imagine how BFG games would be reviewed by folks who focus on first person shooter games, especially if they did not know what they were getting.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Odd ball game but good THIS game is different to the normal ones It took a while for me to work out what I needed to do but then it was no trouble the figures look a bit strange but you can get past that and enjoy a quite good game loved playing it as I say a bit odd but do not hold that against it,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Light Adventure Game REVIEW BASED ON COMPLETED GAME Light Adventure game...no HOS (Hidden Object Scenes) which opened up in widescreen on my laptop Go to settings to choose just about everything you could ask for...Gameplay, which there are 3 choices, I chose 'Adventure' so no sparkles. You can change the difficulty levels during the game, as well as turning music and audio up or down separately {which I loved} There is also an option for HD which when clicked enhanced the game, great feature There is a Journal, which contains the story as you progress, tasks...which when you click on them you see extra info, great little extra feature if you need it. There is no map {you don't really need one} There are 'Achievements' and 'Collectibles' which can also be viewed in your journal as you progress. There are 8 chapters, items you collect can sometimes be joined to complete a task. Items collected are used in each chapter, so you start fresh with each chapter, another thing I liked, dislike having items in my inventory for any length of time Puzzels were a little different to what I've play before and really enjoyed them, you can view how many you solved or skipped in your journal as you progress...great feature Storyline: You are sent undercover to investigate the disappearance of a monk and to investigate a 'weeping angel' and find much more than you expected This game has Religious themes Loved everything about this game, reminds me of the once great Adventure games, which we see so little of these days. Nothing too difficult, so if you're new to Adventure games this is a good one to begin with

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Retreat to Medieval Times If you are willing to slow down and enter the game's pace, I feel the reward is worth it. It's true the Italian accents were off, but our Croatian devs were on the mark with their period ambiance. You will be a monk/detective working undercover for the Cardinal and definitely on the right side. The evil that unfolds is all too human and that helps to keep the player involved. Not a shallow game and worth a try.
