Web of Deceit: Black Widow Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Deceit In This Game This game delivers!!! I have to say it is one of my top ten and I have played hundreds of these. I played the demo when it was first released and could not get into the story. I downloaded it on my Android recently and bam! I could not put it down. This game is engaging and has a great story. HOG's are a little too many for my liking. I loved the puzzles. Although some of them were tedious, I rarely skipped. I absolutely loved the bonus chapter. Wow, Blamgames read my mind. There is a transportable map pretty good considering when this was released. You do have to go through the journal to get to the map though, which was kind of pain. There is a SG which is awesome for mobile games. No glitches of any kind, no problems. This game is long and I love that. Especially when the game is good and keeps your interest during the game play. I loved this game so much I palyed it again after I finished it. Awesome job Blamgames!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SPIDERS EVERYWHERE WITH SPOT-ON TODAY'S STORY Three modes: casual, advanced and hardcore professional. Journal; interactive map. Mechanical spiders with live actors create a mysterious atmosphere that grabs your attention right away. Storyline was more interesting and unique than I thought it would be; and it’s spot-on today as bullying is a hot topic these days. Graphics are world class – usually the color palette is bluish cast for this type of story; here the colors are vibrant and worldly. Interactive HOS with useful hint system. Wide variety of puzzles with varying degrees of difficulty. Well thought-out story and gameplay. Not too much backtracking. Game will hold your interest throughout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome! I played this one when it first out and never give a review. So I'm just say, I do really enjoy and having fun playing this game from beginning 'til the end. Love it! One of my favorite list games I ever played. Thank you Blam Games as developer you do make a good job! I hope the next sequel will be good too or even better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Game for Arachnophiles As I absolutely love spiders, I really enjoyed this game. I bought the Collector's Edition and really glad I did because that part tells you how the little girl Morgana becomes the Black Widow in the main game. Her little spider is really cute. Anyway back to the main game. You are a detective and go to Andville where there has been a series of murders. Everywhere you look there is evidence of spiders, huge webs and people who have been cocooned. The mysterious lady called the Black Widow is responsible for all this. I especially liked the video scenes. The fight between a massive metal spider and a huge wasp on top of the radio tower was one of my favourites. The actors were a bit wooden and slow I thought. If you buy the C.E. you can look again at these cut scenes. There is also the usual wallpapers and music, screensavers and such. You can also replay the puzzles. I found some of the puzzles so tricky that even with cheating with the Strategy Guide. I still ended up skipping them. Some of them were too long and laborious for my taste. Still I think the game has some replay value. As you can use the three settings, Easy, Hard and Difficult as in most of these kind of games. I will reiterate what other Fishies have said not one for arachnophobes! Enjoy. Luv Cam

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WONDERFUL GAME!!! For those of you who have an insect phobia (especially spiders), then this game isn't for you. On the plus side, the spiders are robotic and there are some beautiful butterflies. Storyline - Excellent. You must defeat Morgana and her evil plans. No, she's not a witch, just weird. :-D IHOS - Fairly clear with the usual large and small items. Some players may consider these to be "junk piles". Inventory - Items used quickly in other areas. Live Actors/VOS - Excellent. Journal - Keeps record of information and photos acquired in searches and has a map. Also contains repeated video clips which can be skipped. Hint - Moderate recharge and acts as a guide. Puzzles - Usual variety of difficulty levels. Skip - Reacharges quickly. Built-in SG Misclick Penalty - None As in most games I've played, there is a great deal of backtracking. There are many scenes to visit repeatedly. Since this was a CE, there is the usual bonus play which I didn't get involved with. Can't comment on the music because, as in any game I play, I tune it out. Take a chance on this game. I don't think you'll be disappointed but to each his/her own. :-D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Really, Really Loved This Game!!! This game had it all, acceptable music (no accordions), nifty mini-games, and a plausible story line. After I discovered the facts the villainess became a somewhat sympathetic figure although murder for revenge's sake is just plain wrong. You gotta admit, the little mechanical spider in the bonus section was kinda cute. As for the human actors, they did drag things out a bit but what the hey. It looks like they were very pleased with themselves and happy to have an acting job. Campy, that's my take on it. I very much recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Game! First off, I hate spiders, so I played the free trial in case it creeped me out, which it didn't, after all, it's a game. Like another reviewer, I was hooked after 30 minutes. I bought the Collector's Edition and love it. I was impressed with the graphics. Each scene is vivid and beautifully rendered. The overall mood is wonderfully errie and sinister. I love that if a puzzle is too hard, I can get hints, or skip it altogether. Game play is easy and help is always available. The strategy guide is nice to have in case you need/want to use it too and the journal is very useful. I didn't mind some of the characters dialogue being slow because I could skip it if I wanted to move on. I was very pleased with the entire storyline and the villainess was especially fun since she's so incredibly diabolical, intelligent, and beautiful. I haven't enjoyed a game like this in a long time. It reminded me of "Titanic-Adventure Out of Time" only on a much smaller scale. I don't want to reveal any details, but I really, really, REALLY want to see a sequel to this game, for obvious reasons the authors will understand. And let's see more of Morgana this time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT GAME WORTH YOUR TIME>ADVENTURE STORY WITH SPIDERS LOTS OF SPIDERS...YIKS..GREAT GRAPHICS, COLOR GOOD, STORY OK BLACKWIDOW WOMAN!!! WATCH OUT FOR HER,, GONNA PINCH YA...OUCH!!, HINTS TERRIFIC,SOME EASY HOS (many)BUT INTERACTION STYLE MORE INTERESTING, THINGS RUN AND WIGGLE, SQUEEMISH FEELINGS, A KIND OF SHORT, PLAY AND STORY WENT WELL. (RAILROADS, BLOWTORCHES, LOTS OF COBWEBS, PUT IT TOG STUFF,,,,,,,,,,,, STARTING OFF A LITTLE SLOW BUT PATIENCE JUST KEEP PLAYING AND IT BUILDS AND GETS BETTER. CASUAL WAS MY PLAY PREFERENCE. "HARDER" PLAY WOULD HAVE ADDED A LOT MORE CHALLENGE . PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD. I REALLY LIKED IT. I HAD JUST FINISHED A SCI FI GAME, LOTS OF SPACE EQUIP , BUILD-A-PIECE-OF-MACHINERY GAME, SO THIS WAS WELL RECIEVED BY ME AND I ENJOYED THE CHANGE OF THE GAME STYLE..NO NEED FOR TIPS, IT SPOILS THE PLAY. CLICK "HINT". GOOD FOR HALLOWEEN WITH ALL THE SPIDERS. BIG&small.*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scary Spiders-Seriously?! I enjoyed the demo and liked it had a twist on the mini games and I enjoyed the lack of hand holding as any game has never taken me but 3 hours unless people state it is a long game then I might be able to stretch it out. Demo's typically take me thirty minutes but this time it took me actually 58 minutes. As for the spiders, a lot of people are whining cause they hate spiders & I am phobic of anything with eight legs which then I start to sweat and my heart starts to pound out of my chest, which my kids love to tease me about. But really you know they are fake and I can handle fake as I know they cannot get me. I say "Yes this game is worth buying & if you want to save money then want for the SE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game and I hate Spiders LOL I just finished playing this game and the bonus content. The story line was awesome, graphics as well. The only thing about the game that annoyed me is whenever you click on something, even if you don't have what it needs, the text "i could use something here" came up. After a while it became redundant. Otherwise I loved the game. Bonus content really glued it all together. Mini games were good too. A game worth buying to all of you HOG addicts like me :) Happy Playing!!
