Haunted Halls: Revenge of Doctor Blackmore is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice one to play it has a little of everthing, HOP adventure, and it isn't all dark and eerie

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brain Food! This game is Amazing! I knew 5 minutes into the demo that I had to have it... bought it immediately. So very different than any other HOA game I have ever played. Like I started to say, this game will suck you in immediately. It is Crazy Fun! The graphics are awesome. The voice over is fun just to listen to Dr. Blackmore's evil laugh. The HO's are black shadowed items to find. They don't jump out at you, so some can take a moment moment to find. The mini games are really different and although not too difficult, you do have to use your brain. There is no map which would normally drive me nuts, but with this game it would spoil the fun. You use your inventory quickly, and any back tracking you have to do is a short trip. This is my favorite game now. I have played for about 1 1/2 hours but I stopped to write this review. I am so excited to find that there are many Haunted Hall games, and you don't have to play them in any particular order. With Big Fish having so many super sales I will buy them all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Revenge of Doctor Blackmore The Haunted Halls series is quite satisfying, and this is one that meets the same standards set by the previous titles. I would play this many times over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definite buy. Thought at first it was going to be a dark game, but really enjoyed it. Different HOS. The graphics were great. Good story. Found it rather easy and relaxing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Like The Changes FIRST IMPRESSIONS Newspaper headlines flash past giving details of apparently totally unconnected disappearances, including your own. THEN, it gets creepy. You wake strapped into some futuristic restraint chair, a disembodied voice tells you there is no chance of escape, and our old buddy Dr Blackmore turns up, literally crawling the walls! This can’t be good. SIGHTS & SOUNDS As always the ERS graphics are water-colour, hand-drawn, very detailed and clear. The cut-scenes look good, but personally, I thought there were a bit too many of them. Still, I can see the temptation, when you see what Blackmore looks like now. Sounds are all good. Music has a definite sci-fi feel to it, and the voiceover for the computer is perfect. The doctor has his own special way of speaking in all 3 of these games, and I should have mentioned before that I don’t like it. But it is at least unique, and quirky enough to sound insane. WHAT’S HAPPENING We start off a little differently than the other Haunted Halls games, because not only is Tim captured, but so are we. The space ship-like location is inescapable, and Blackmore monitors everything, so we have no choice but to play the role he has planned for us. The four disappearances from the introduction have one thing in common, they are all people who have crossed Blackmore. Now he has sent them each to a specific time and place, each the scene of a major catastrophe, to suffer a Blackmore-decreed appropriate end. And we’ve got to release them in order to get to Tim. MAKING PROGRESS The Haunted Halls series continues to be mostly about HOs, but there is a lot of changes in this game since the last. There are, for example, four styles of HOs, including the 3 different types of silhouettes, and the interactive list. The puzzles are okay for the most part, many of original ones. I liked the portable laboratory, where we mix up potions, following detailed instructions. This one is more fun than these things in other games, because it is just difficult enough to have to pay attention. There is also a specific puzzle that comes at the end of each chapter, getting more difficult each time, that is setting dials on gauges, where one affects the others. The electronic notebook is a big help in keeping track of things, because there is no map and the hint button only tells there’s nothing to do. FAMOUS LAST WORDS I forgot to mention there are a lot of interesting critters doing curious things throughout the game, but no cute companions. And, I found the game took quite a long time to complete. Very good game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love them all This one is just as good as the others. I even like that it has a hint button but only tells you that there is nothing to do in that area. The graphics are great and the music is not bad. The HOS are few and different but fun. Not hard. The puzzles can be difficult at times. Has a good flow and not running all over the place too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorites This games opens with a bang, and doesn't let you stop playing until it's over. Great storyline, fun and interesting mini puzzles, and challenging enough to keep you on your toes. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from if you like the other haunted halls you will like this one dr. blackmore is back and just as evil as ever. he has taken hostages and you have to free them to get the one you care about the most released. it is a great game and the graphics are pretty good. sound is something i don't know about. i only heard it a couple of times. the puzzles were different and i solved a few of them. hint/skip button charged fairly fast. hints don't always tell you what to do as much as where to go. you have to figure it out yourself. there is a journal there. there is also a lab where you have to mix things together to advance through the levels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! Excellent game. I can't berate this game in any way. The mini games were difficult and infuriating...just the way I like them!!!! Bought this game as soon as I finished the trial!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wicked good game! If you've enjoyed the other Haunted Halls games you're gonna love this one. They just keep getting better. I won't go into any depth here, other reviewers have described it well. I'll just say that they've kicked it up a notch. Really a fun game.
