Margrave: The Blacksmith's Daughter is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still my all time favorite I love pc games and have tried so may myself. I absolutely love this game! The opening song is one that I play often. The graphics are awesome and the story line is just odd enough to make it very interesting without making it gruesome or x rated. This is high quality and family friendly fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fun and challenging game I have all 4 Margrave games and they range from extremely easy to a little hard but all are fun. Margrave 3 is really cool but Margrave 4 in the most challenging. I,m sure you,ll like it. If only there was some way I could contact Jennifer Eastman to tell here what a marvelous job she did as the voice of Edwina. Give it a try. I love this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game I fell in love with this game and when I finished I went back and bought all the Margrave games. The graphics are beautiful and the game is challenging but not impossible. It also has a decent length for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best games I've ever played !!! Review based on full version play I was a fan of Margrave Manor a few yrs back, just a plain(LONG) HOG,then I saw this-Wow I loved it !!! It is a wonderfully put together game,a complete package so to speak !!! Beautiful, crisp graphics, deep, addicting storyline,I felt like I really cared about Edwina and her quest to find Tom...I loved the characters she met on her journey through the Cyclopean(did I make up a word ?? lol...) town,I wanted to help her as best and as much as I could...All of that equals a complete package in my gaming eyes !!! The puzzles were just right, the HOSs were perfect, the Rudo(hint) button was a huge help to be sure I was on the right trail or to help me adjust and get to the right trail ....don't forget to collect all of the strawberries for a special treat !!! It was addicting and a very long game, well worth the price ... I absolutely loved everything about this one ...BRAVO BIG FISH and INERTIA SOFTWARE !!!,give us more !!!! as always HAPPY GAMING EVERYONE !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly original and beautiful I do not recall a game like this ever. The story is different, the minigames are different (and tie to the story), the setting is dfferent, the characters are different. The first Margrave game was a standard HOG, quite good by its standards, with enough storyline to keep interest. This is a quantum leap (there are still HOS, which are not interactive but beautiful and restful, you revisit them once, and when you have taken out something is does not return). Now of more games were like this....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow. Awesome! (and NOT anti-Christian, IMHO) I think this is in my top three PC games. That's saying a lot, because I play HOPAs a *lot*. I'm shocked the reviews aren't higher for this one - on par with Nevertales in my opinion (albeit quite different#. So creative, beautiful, different, endearing, engaging - the story is great, the gameplay is great. I just can't say enough good things about this one. I got the SE on sale and really wish I had gotten the CE. The developers went out on a limb and put a lot of love into this one. You can't say it isn't different!!! And for me, that was in a very, very good way. NOTE: I am pretty sensitive to violence, in particular violence against women, but I do not agree with reviewers that were disturbed by the description of the woman who was killed. I also do not agree that this is offensive to Christians unless you are just against any pagan themes #which is totally fine if you are, but that's not the same as saying the game is anti-Christian and in my opinion is not a reason to give it a bad review#. It is, however, fairly anti-Puritan...but, ummm, I guess you'd be bothered by that if you actually support the very real horrors that the Puritans enacted on innocent women 300 years ago, which is when those events took place in the story. In other words - some Puritans DID do things like what is depicted in this story #witch trials, anyone?# I don't understand how that pertains to modern-day Christianity. Plenty of people from every religion #and non-religions) have been cruel and intolerent at times. This is simply a fictitious rendition of the dark, yet historically accurate, side of some of the Puritans in that particular time period. Anyway, final words - I loved this game, and the title page song is STILL stuck in my head frequently, weeks after playing it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delightful surprise! I have never played any of the Margrave series and found this game to be an utter delight! The scenes were beautifully drawn, I loved the story line (although the boyfriend is a typical lame brain). I would highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How could anyone not find this one fun? I had a LOT. It was long, extremely interesting, and many varied tasks. It was a bit complicated, and the graphics were an older style, but very charming and the characters were quite unique. The only bad part was that one could not use the map to teleport, which was a bit annoying, but it clearly showed where you needed to go, and the travel was not completely obnoxious like some games are. The HOS were well done and those scenes were also interesting. I found this game to be different than ones I have seen before. It took some thinking, but if you didn't feel like it, the skip button filled quickly. It all took place in a very strange land, which added to the intrigue, as it was highly original. It made me smile and I truly enjoyed it. It was never frustrating, as hints were clear and no walkthrough was needed. Try it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely game Beautifully done, great characters, unusual puzzles and the HO's were challenging enough, a wee bit of trouble negotiating the map, wish it had been a little easier, lot of running back and forth. But, such an unusual story line, kudos to the developers, great imagination!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Brain Teaser/Adventure What a surprise when I bought this as the Weekly Deal. It's nothing like the other Margrave stories. It's a fantasy story with quite a cast of funny characters and lots of medium - to -hard puzzles. Don't be put off by the unattractive one-eyed girl. It's really worth trying out. I played it for a few hours and had to stop because my brain was exhausted! But can't wait to get back to it.
