King Oddball is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Fun Game The gist of this game is understanding the physics of slinging a rock. It starts out simple so you can get a handle on how things work, and then it gets more complex. In later stages you actually find yourself taking in the situation and formulating an angle to destroy all the items. It is very clever. It is a simple premise which leads to actual use of critical thinking skills as the game progresses. It is an intriguing and thought-provoking strategy game. Easily one of my favorite Big Fish games!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something different. This is a different sort of game. Once you start it is hard to stop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT FUN! I really enjoyed this 'odd' game. Yes, it is something like angry birds, but on the computer...it is more fun. Some problems with not being able to change player, but all in all, this was REALLY fun....and very addictive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yeah!! Something different... I like HOGs and TMs, but truly enjoy the "Oddball" games like this that come about too infrequently. This one was an instant hit for me. I was hooked immediately and played way into the wee hours of the morn. It's a game with all win/lose levels that become increasingly more challenging. What I like is that if you lose, you've only spent 30 seconds doing that level vs. the 10-15 minutes (for me) on a TM level. So retrying doesn't get me saying, "dagnamit!" For those who found this boring or non challenging, you may not have played far enough into the game. I'm still not finished as there are many, many levels and I'm stuck at about the 80% point (don't know how many levels total so this is an estimate.) Kudos to the developers for their creativity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't look at me like that At first glance, this looked pretty wimpy. After ten minutes, I was totally engrossed in the game. Instead of having to balance ten spinning plates while playing the marimba, you just smash things. The level of difficulty is perfect for relaxed enjoyment - not so tough that you get frustrated and not so easy that you get bored. And the look you get when you fail... cracks me up. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deceptively Simple A really different game from your standard Big Fish fare; you need only click the mouse button at the proper time. When is the proper time? Well, that's the challenge! The game starts out easy and lets you build up that learning curve while destroying incredibly cute little tanks, helis and soldiers (who are apparently robots, given their glowing red eyes# by picking up and flinging rocks with your...tongue. Yes, YOU are King Oddball, the oddest ball-shaped, helmet-wearing king who ever...lived?...and your job is to destroy the world. I was surprised at how enjoyable this is, love that there are awards to be won, a secret world to find and peppy, infective music to accompany the fun. #Who knew I could learn to love the accordion?) Deceptively simple; extremely addictive. The developers did an amazing job with this; many kudos!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprise, it's Really Fun This was one of those that I tried just because it was the $2.99 Game of the Day. It really surprised me. It starts out easy and you think "OK where's the challenge" and then it gets harder and more frustrating. The sounds are OK but eventually they get on your nerves, especially when the game gets harder and harder. If you like 'Push the Box' or 'Cut the Rope' you will probably like this one. Try it and then try to drag yourself away from it - you want to try just one more level and then half the day is gone an you have accomplished nothing!! So now I am going to go accomplish something!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Brain Teaser Ever At first blush this seems like a simplistic strategy type game that is easily mastered. But it is a lot harder and complicated than it initially seems to be. It is fast moving puzzle game that becomes more complicated by the minute. You hurl rocks at tanks, helicopters, enemies, and bombs, hoping to eliminate them all before King Oddball runs out rocks to throw. When you miss, and leave some of the enemy standing, and you will miss, there is a "try over" for every game which gives you a 2nd chance, 3rd chance, and in some cases for me, a 10th chance, to win that round. This is so much fun but it is hard to describe. You will have to play it and make up your own mind. It is a lot of great fun.
