Mountain Trap: The Manor of Memories is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish there was a sequal This game was very challenging for me, but I'm not great with this type of game. The hints are helpful if you get stuck, though they won't tell you were to go like some other games. There were lots of different mini-games, and the voice acting and music were wonderful. Trying not to spoil, but there is a stupidly good hook at the end too, and a wonderful twist through out the story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mountain Trap....to be continued in up coming sequel! Your ski vacation isn’t going quite as planned. Returning to the resort to attack the slopes one last time, your friend Amy is nowhere to be found. Cell phone reception isn’t all that great this high up Ardennes Peak, so you head to the empty ski patrol cabin and scan the radio frequencies to see if you can find someone. That’s when things get really creepy. A hooded figure peers through the window just as you hear Amy’s voice on the radio calling for help. Her leg is broken and she needs your help, but there’s something else, too. She tries to warn you but the signal is lost, leaving you clueless and frightened but determined to save her. Could this have anything to do with the mysterious mansion nearby? Perish the thought! Mountain Trap: The Manor of Memories is a somewhat slow-paced hidden object adventure that feels like a throwback to the genre’s earlier days. It’s heavy on atmosphere and goes for story over substance, though in the end it doesn’t really hit a homerun with either. Scenes are divided between exploration and puzzle solving, with a healthy number of hidden object diversions. They tend to be pretty simple and are low on challenge, and just like early hidden object games the crowded rooms you sift through are littered with some of the most random, out of place items you can imagine. (The main character should really clean out her car. Sheesh!) There are some interactive items to toy around with and the list of things to find is extensive, so despite being on the easier side, the hidden object scenes are one of the game’s highlights. The conclusion of the game is a cliff hanger leaving you with only "to be continued". Recommended for all players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not your average game of today what a twist, what a twist.........ending not what I expected! If you're looking for great voiceovers, helpful hints, a jump map or even a map period you better keep on looking. If you want to have to figure things out, TRY to remember where that little screw must go you will love this game. If you like slightly interactive HOs or silhouette HOs and all the above you will love this game. As for me sometimes I just like to be challenged a little more and step away from cutesy helpers and tired storylines. So I really liked this game a lot but will have to admit that as I was getting closer to the end I consulted the walkthrough a few times!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leaning Towards the 5 Stars! I don't compare games, however, I review on the game itself based on story line, interesting puzzles, hidden object time and story appropriate items. Gamers aren't going to race through this game, yet, the story is intriguing as your friend Amy went off skiing alone and now she needs help. Two veteran skiers should know better than to allow the other to ski alone! It is what it is and you can't find anyone in the ski patrol and, of course, the task at hand is not an easy one. Purchased on a DD and on a Monday, so very pleased with this particular game. I was just crying the blues earlier about not having something different. Waa-lah! Mountain Trap: The Manor of Memories is now added to my BFG collection. Thank you Devs for the time and trouble of creating an intriguing game with different puzzles. Was just going through the control panel and almost got all the numbers when my demo trial ended. Ah! Guess I'll have to start over. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good game I completely love visual part of this game, music is good too. What about storyline - ending was a surprise, I hope second part would come. I like that game is a little bit "slow", so I can enjoy game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very hard Even though I enjoyed this game in the end, boy it was hard, very frustrating indeed, but then you don't want an easy game do you, because of other games I've done, the ending wasn't a surprise, I kinda expected it, all I want now is the sequel, soon please, the 'hint' drove me crazy, very annoying, I wish it could have given a clue! j62janet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good effort This was a very good effort by this developer. The graphics were beautiful. The one song that played over and over was nice, but hearing it 100 times was a bit much. The voice acting was terrible. I couldn't tell if it was a computer or real people. The play style is very open - you wander around finding puzzles you can't tackle until way later on, and picking up objects you're trying to remember where to use them because there are so many places to go to. A lot of back and forth in this game. But I will say I kinda liked that. So many games nowadays hold your hand all the way through it. Not this one. I used the hint button a lot, but it would only help if you were in the right location. I liked the ending - it wasn't typical. That may sound like a lot of negatives, but I did really enjoy playing this game. The 5 stars is for a great effort and a slightly different game than most.
