Jennifer Wolf and the Mayan Relics is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another "love it or hate it" from Mzone Studio & Solilab I really enjoy nearly all the HdO games which Anuman developed with this studio, so was happy to find this one. A bit clunky, but with a certain charm, they do things their own way, quite different from any other games I've found. Rather lot of chat - you can click through it, but at one stage you need to remember a couple of names and an objective to be allowed to progress. Not a very long game - one to buy as a daily deal or other special offer. Keep it up Mzone, but don't make the objects quite so impossible! Even with a hint some are invisible, you just have to click in the centre of the hint swirls and hope!! Faster hint and skip refill would be good too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Based on demo only... Old fashioned way... liked the game very much. Simple HOG but funny. I finished free sample and immediately bought the game. I am curious to know how it will finish. I prefer classical HOG games and this one is interesting. Some objects are too difficult to find what obligates you to use hints, that I don´t like, but there is no way and there are many stars in the scenes that become hints. In resume is a good game and I recommend it for those who likes just have fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Different Strokes Sometimes it is nice to have a simple HOG. This is a challenging game in that it has tiny things to find. However, the graphics are clear and there are no large spiders, snakes and EVIL in a black cloud. Some of us fishies find the creepy evil games to be boring. Just a different viewpoint. Glad Big Fish can give us all types of games. Thanks!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a bad game, just so so. This was a Daily Deal so I read some reviews and most of them were bad, but I played the demo anyway and liked it enough to buy it for $2.99. I've now finished the game. There are no mode options, you can only change the loudness of the music and sound, both I turned down because I didn't like the music. You, Jennifer, are an archaeologist and you've been invited to join your father in Mexico at his latest dig. When you arrive you are met by one of his students and find out your father is missing. The race is on to find your father and pieces of the Mayan calendar. This game is really old school and there is a lot of hand holding. It's pretty much hidden objects where you find a number of this and that. The objects are pretty small and there were a couple I had trouble finding even with the hint. Some of the scenes move right and left and you'll find items there. Since there is no walk through go to the BF Forum to get help with some of these items. There are a few puzzles which are fairly easy and there is a skip type button that loads after 3 minutes. After the first minute there is a button shaped like a light bulb which will show you a finished picture of the puzzle. As with any game I strongly suggest reading some of the reviews, both good and bad and please download the demo to make an informed decision. While this is pretty far from the type of games I usually play I did enjoy playing this one and will recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lost in Mexico The old Father went to Mexico on a Mayan exploration and has not been heard from since. The graphics are O.K.. Lots of reading , I realize some folks do not like that stuff. Puppets pop up from the left and right of the screen to establish the story and kind of go on and on. Each character has two facial expressions. Play with the magnifier on images you need to find are blurry or too small in regular screen mode.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Back to the Past! i would actually rate this game at 2.5 Pros: music was not nerve wracking was kind of soothing graphics clear and drawn nicely mostly hos with a few puzzles thrown in EVERY scene is workable hos and puzzles cons: it also is a bit slow i am the impatient type :) no vo's cutouts that pop into the scene to "chat" which u have to read hos not what we have gotten use too the whole scene is one bit hos also 2 of this 3 of that etc...you get the idea -personal thoughts- this game is a throwback from like 5 years ago but that does not mean that you will not like it...especially if you like pretty much pure hog's it is not for me personally because i love the newer hoa's so i do recommend this game because ik there will be some out there who will really like this game...it is also a great beginners game as well :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Graphics Waste of down load time. Very bad graphics, especially in the HOS. To much reading, seems so old.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why Bother I don't mind static, but I hate lists of HOG objects that are doled out a few at a time. The interface is not intuitive and at times it is just plain insane. I found the intro objects. It wanted me to go to Mexico City...but i had to guess where Mexico City was. Then it wanted me to start eliminating sites. We disagreed on where East is, and what a coast is, and what a jungle is. I had to use all of my hints to eliminate things, and ultimately, I just turned off the game and deleted it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I really Wanted to Enjoy this Game I know how hard it is to put a workable game together, so I always hate to be hard on the developers. This game reminded me of some early hidden object games, from way back when the genre was just starting. The music was fine, but looped too soon and I turned it off after a few minutes. The graphics are good, but don't blend well. The dialog was ok - again very much like older games. The mini-games I encountered were not interesting, and I got annoyed at the number of hidden object scenes. Also, a lack of clarity. I was to find a brush. I clicked on 2 paintbrushes and an artists brush without results. I accidentally clicked on something that looked like a notebook and 'brush' disappeared from my list. Had the storyline been more compelling, I would have continued in spite of previously noted annoyances. Unfortunately, 15 minutes in I still had no reason to pay any attention to the characters.
