Fun, addictive, Free I love this game. I read the bad reviews as well as (some of) the good ones before downloading this. When the first monster showed up and all it did was its drumming sounds, I understood that one reviewer who said the repetive sounds made it impossible for him to play. When the second monster came along, it didn't get much better for me to be honest. However, I stuck with it since so many people seemed to love this and from the 3rd monster and onward I've been absolutely hooked. It's amazing how an added monster can suddenly change out how the entire tune sounds! When you mute one of them, suddenly it again sounds totally different. And I visited the top island to see what it would sound like when you have all mobs - Just WOW! A huge plus for me by the way: From what I can tell so far, this is NOT like the other Free To Play games out there - you don't actually have to spend money at all. You get EVERYTHING you can buy for gems for free as well. It just takes longer. At the beginning you may see the diamond prices for monsters and be put off, but you can breed every single one of those monsters, no need to spend money there. Besides, there are ways to gain some diamonds ingame, so you can save up incase you really want to speed up a breeding sometime ;) September 13, 2013
Cute and unique on building up your monster band This is the most riveting and unusual game I've seen in a while :) The goal is simple, make your own monster band. Since I have been a musician for 30+ years, this is right up my alley. Each monster has it's own musical part. drums, singing, other percussion parts and so on. Put them all together and you get a really big jam session. :) You can buy diamonds to help speed things up or you can save your hard earned money and just buy the mini-mine with gold. There are other islands with different songs but I haven't gotten that far yet. It took me two hours just to pry myself away from this game when I first played. You can breed monsters to try to get monsters that were only available to buy with diamonds. lots of goals to achieve as in most FTP games. the monsters are cute and the art is well done. the music can get a little annoying if you listen to it for an hour but all in all, I didn't mind because I was looking forward to the next monster musical part to hear what it sounds like. This is the best FTP game so far. September 13, 2013
Exciting fun! It is such a fun game. Every morning I cannot wait to wake up and see what new monsters that I have and what they sound like on the islands. Then you open new islands and have new songs, it just is different all of the time! Excellent game, they are like your own little musical pets! Everyone in my family has their own monsters. Lum tee dum****LA LA LA****lum tee dum****LA LA LA After nearly four hours of playing this game and a few farthings poorer, I am ready to submit a review. I used to be an anxious, catastrophically thinking individual.....that is of course until I became immersed in the riveting, compelling odyssey that is; My Singing Monsters. I do not mind spending money in the game to purchase my freedoms and liberties on Monster Island, I do this all the time in real life, why shouldn't I at least derive some fun out of structural functionalism within a capitalistic, albeit fantasy based realm? I would much rather buy diamonds and pizza to feed my leaf creatures than pay for parking in downtown Los Angeles or spend $100 on a pair of underwear at whatever high end fashion outlet that is currently en vogue. Sigh..... I approve highly of this game and recommend it, not only as a winsome past time, but as a panacea for generalized anxiety disorder. Thank you Big Fish Games, I love you like my own over paid therapist. :) September 9, 2013
Finally! MSM makes it to PC! So awesome to see one of my favourite games on mobile finally make it to the PC! It's too bad we can't access our existing account (must be a different server), but that's understandable. Besides, I welcome the challenge of breeding all my monsters all over again! Rock on, MSM! Really Cute Game I love it!!! It's very whimsical and easy to play. I pop in and out of it several times a day. September 6, 2013
Love it. Playing for 3 months on Android. I was so shocked to see this out for PC. We just got the first anniversary party update on Android and a new island, so I should have expected it. This is a fun little world-building game. I have not spent one red cent on it, and I have 4 islands and 4 mini mines. I just play it with my breakfast cereal, then let things happen while I work, then check on stuff when I get home and before I go to bed. Takes less than 10 minutes each time. It does take a while to get started. I had to babysit the first island for an hour or so an evening for the first week or so to get the money rolling in and figure out how to do things. But that's OK--it's when you're most excited about a game like this anyway. As for challenge, well just try breeding an Ethereal Monster. You have a 1/500 chance of getting one. And getting monsters fed up to level 15 so you can put them on Gold Island to hear all monsters together can take months. Thank goodness there are all kinds of ways to earn diamonds and gold without money if you just have a bit of patience. This game reminds me of Symphony in One Movement, because each monster makes a noise and you only really hear the song when you get them all together. It's cute and fun. Try it if you like world-building games. You'll like it. September 9, 2013
9 year old's and mother's review 9 y/o : likes the monsters, music and the mini mine to get diamonds. Also likes that you can breed the monsters. This game has kept her entertained and she doesn't mind having to wait a while to get what she needs in the game. Me, I would get a little bored, but the music is cute and calming. I enjoy watching her, but I need a little more challenge if I'm playing a game. September 7, 2013
sooooooo cuuuuuutte OMG...i loved playing this game on my ipod, was up high in the levels.... had 3 islands, 5 bakeries on each island and i think 1 gem mine on each island plus many many monsters on each lol. i love being able to breed and see which monster i get and the sounds, so funny, u can mute monsters and have only certain ones sing, its funny to see which sounds u can make between monsters, yes it s a simple game but its relaxing and funny, and the monsters are sooooooo cute, my daughter (10 yr old) and i would breed and compete to see which monsters we could breed better and which songs or harmonies were better....i only deleted it because i ran out of room on my ipod for music and some games had to go :( and unfortunately this was one of a few that u have to spend real money on the game? no not really just enjoy the game and wat it has to offer in terms of playing... the simplicity of breeding different monsters to see wat u get and wat sounds or harmonies they make together. they're all different. i miss this game. so glad big fish has brought it out.... it takes a little while to build things up but when u do the game starts to flow alot easier.... i used to play it when i had a coffee at morning tea and arvo tea at work and it was that little bit of fun at work that would make me smile... through its simplicity and also the funny looking monsters....and no its not for everyone but its a sweet fun game u can always come back too... Very Cute I enjoy this game. It's different and a little slow paced. There is no hurry, hurry, or rushing, I like that. September 6, 2013
