Enigmatis: The Mists of Ravenwood is the sequel to the smash hit Enigmatis: The Ghost of Maple Creek. It is a detective story rich with horror, plot twists, and shadowy intrigue.

A year has passed since the events of Maple Creek. But for the past few months, our detective has been hot on the trail of the demonic preacher she fought one year ago. Yet he has managed to always stay one step ahead. She hoped to bring an end to the chase in the redwood forests of Northern California. But like so many times before, the trail went cold...

Then she encountered an abandoned camper in the middle of the highway. Enormous claw marks scored the roof and the lost family’s personal belongings were scattered everywhere. All signs pointed to the scene being fresh.

And all clues led into nearby Ravenwood Park...

Enigmatis: The Mists of Ravenwood Collector's Edition is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 159.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, creative game I enjoyed this game more and more the longer I played. It seemed at the beginning as if it were going to be the typical "stolen child, my car crashes in the middle of nowhere" story, but things went differently than I expected pretty early in the story. It was a nice change to have a fantasy game that also has elements of realism (or a realistic game with elements of fantasy??). I very much enjoyed the graphics, the balance of HO to minigames to puzzle/adventure. There was even a connection to the previous Enigmatis game, which was also excellent. The game was satisfyingly long, and though it was challenging, I never felt frustrated. There also weren't a lot of the same-old same-old minigames here, as there are in so many of these HOPA games. Mostly, the minigames and puzzles were interesting and fun. One drawback is the fact that it's really hard to remember where things are. There end up being several distinct areas or sections where things are happening, and I had difficulty navigating back to one from another (there is a map, but it wasn't always completely clear or easy to use). I also bought the CE but there really wasn't much advantage to it, IMO. There were "illusive objects" (bits of the scenery that morph), lots of achievements, and the much more difficult to find butterflies in most scenes. FYI, I didn't choose a difficulty level that had a tutorial, so I didn't know about the butterflies until well into the game, and I missed some. I recommend the tutorial! However, there was no bonus scene, and you can't go back and hunt the butterflies you miss, so I feel like I would have been just as happy with the SE as the CE. Overall, a good fantastical mystery game with a modern setting a few plot twists. HOPA fans should enjoy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Story that Pulls you in During First 2 Minutes of Playing!!! I played the previous game when it came out in 2011 and remembered loving it. I bought this sequel a year ago but I have not had time to play it. What a mistake!! This is one of the best games out there. It actually has a storyline that I was interested in following! The little girl is great as are the rest of the characters in the story!! The jump map was very helpful. The graphics are stupendous! The whole place seemed like it must really exist somewhere! The music and sound effects are awesome! (I usually have to turn down the music because it gets annoying too quickly) The H.O.S. were interesting. The mini-games were challenging enough to make them interesting. I think I had to skip 2 of them but that's ok. The storyline was extremely well-written. With twists you were not expecting and adding new people to talk to along the way. I really enjoyed talking to the prisoner down in the tunnels--that was a nice touch. As was the return of the Suspect board where all the evidence goes while you try to solve the mystery of what is going on. Fantastic game that I highly recommend, along with over 100 other reviewers who know what they are talking about! The bonus chapter alludes to another sequel in this series. I hope that is still in the making.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoyable game This game had an engrossing story line and was fun to play. The bonus chapter was a prequel and didn't really add anything to the game, so it's not necessary to buy the collector's edition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I had a lot of fun playing this game. Nice balance between puzzles and the story. I love finding the butterflies and morphing scenes. The bonus chapter was short but was still fun to play!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You'll Find Me in the CE Section! Without rehashing other reviewers, just want to add my Mama Mia 2 cents.--A riveting, excellent, scary game! Should I advance? No, better not. Don't know what's beyond. Now, that's ridiculous. It's just a game, right? A game that is to be remembered and enjoyed playing over and over again. Selecting to purchase the Collector's Edition is a personal preference as I want to soak in as much as the Developers have to offer--without missing one iota of their genius, hard work and dedication. Thanks again, bfg! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FIVE STARS +++++ GREAT game!!! Ones of the best! I played Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek and I was waiting for the continuation. Enigmatis: The Mists of Ravenwood was superb! I'm playing my games in the order date I bought them (time allows me to play only on weekends so I'm still playing the games that I bought in 2013) and I was checking my list for the next one but there wasn't any released after 2013. The game indicated at the end that it will continue. I hope the game developers create a third one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sequel, you must play the first game first though. This is the sequel to Enigmatis Ghost of Ravenwood. The story does a good job of keeping continuity with the first game. You really have to play the first game in order to fully understand this game. The first game was probably the best HOG I have ever played. I don't think the sequel is quite as good but it is good enough. Like in the first game, the story is engaging and compelling and makes you wonder what is coming next. The puzzles are also quite good. My only minor gripe was that the sequel lacked the gloomy and creepy atmosphere and grittyness of the first game and was more "kid friendly" and cartoony this time around. But its still good with an original story and the feel of watching a movie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BEST EVER!!! I've been playing Hidden Object Games for two years and this, by far, has been my favorite. It has a good storyline and the game follows the storyline rather than jumping you all over the game board for no reason. The storyline makes sense. I'm headed over to purchase the first game in the series. Love to purchase more!
