Nevertales: The Beauty Within is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best HO I've played in quite a while... ...and I've been playing HO's for a long time...over 10 years worth with Big Fish! So many of the recent Hidden Object games that have come out in the last few years all seem to be exactly the same, and have gotten very boring. But "The Beauty Within" was no where near to being a carbon copy of all the rest. This is a wonderful fairy tale story, with a fitting end...it's a real trip to the moon! (Play the game and you'll see what I mean.) The artwork is beautiful...sound effects/music fit into the story perfectly...sweet music for a sweet little baby girl. Each HOS and puzzle is unique in it's own way and fun to play. Even in casual mode they make you think and are not obvious. I was frustrated at times, not because of the HOS or puzzles in this game, but because I realized I had become used to having things handed to me so easily in other HO games. I can't say enough good things about this game. The creators did a fantastic job! The characters you will meet are interesting and very helpful. My favorite being...well...I loved them all!! So, put aside whatever way you have been playing HO's in the past and get ready for a great adventure...this is one of the best! I can't wait to play the rest of the series. To the moon, Alice!! LOL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Belle, baby Alice and Pierre have a connection and she needs to remember and save Pierre from becoming a beast forever Basking in your latest success in defending your client who was found innocent, you decide to relax and read a book. It is a dark, stormy night when there is a knock on the door and when you open it you see a car speed away and hear a sound. Looking down, you find a baby in a basket on your doorstep. There is a note on the basket that says not to call the police and that you are the only one who can save her. You pick up the basket with the baby and decide to follow the car grabbing your keys and lucky locket that you have never been able to open. It has four recesses as if something should be placed in them. Placing the baby in the car, you follow the only road that the other car could have taken. A ways down the road, you see the car blocking the road and a large man comes to the car and takes the keys and throws them away on the side of the road. He tells you not to follow him. You find your keys and continue along the road where you see a large mansion appear out of nowhere and the car you are following crashed near the gate. Your phone rings and the man tells you that you must find the portal inside the mansion and that he will try to help you but that you must stay away from him and protect the baby at all costs. Near the door to the mansion, you find a mechanical owl that you repair and is named Gears and he becomes your helper. He can solve minigames if you decide you want to skip it. Entering the mansion, the door slams shut and you are now trapped there. Storybooks and papers scattered about slowly reveal you have a secret and are somehow involved with the baby and man. You must find the portal and visit four other worlds to unravel that connection. This game was a little hard to follow at first because you start out in a normal world with normal situations that quickly become twisted and involving fairytale worlds where you originally lived. It keeps your interest by slowly revealing the story through interesting characters and travel to four different worlds - a volcanic island, some future world, Jack and the Beanstalk world with jack and a giant, and island of pirates. Inventory puzzles and minigames are altered enough to give them a fresh feeling and many have puzzles within puzzles making them more entertaining. Many inventory items are "plus" items requiring some manipulation. Hidden object scenes were located and started in some very creative ways that fit into the situation as if they belonged such as breaking the bark on a log to expose the scene and were of several different types and only presented once for each scene. There was the usual interactive list but exposing the lists involved completing minipuzzles, a stained glass scene to find shapes and silhouettes, and exposing fragments that form a final object to complete the scene. All were well done and none felt out of place. Graphics are beautiful with very good animations and cutscenes with a light fairytale music score and good voice acting. Your cell phone become the journal and jump map showing action areas. The flow of the game is well designed becoming more complicated the deeper you get into it and will provide several hours of diversion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endless Adventure I have never had a game that kept me so enthralled that I could not put it down. It made me WANT to see what was next. It contains almost any "hidden object" adventures, all combined into one game. I feel like I've played several games. I did use the EXPERT level which made it even more challenging, but in a good way. I loved it!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better then I thought it was going to be! I demo-ed this game but only played about 5 minutes when I deleted it because it seemed boring but after constantly seeing this game as peoples favorite I used a free game token to purchase it and boy am I glad I did! The game gets so much better after the demo. I really loved the game and the story line was terrific! The amount of creativity Nevertales featured is almost unbelievable and it is proudly shown in almost every aspects of the game. The Hidden Object scenes come in many different types and you never to have to visit a scene more than once! You will never get bored of finding objects again and again as the scenes are very interactive. Puzzles are extremely well-crafted and are super smart, many of them are very innovative and sometimes offer a nice twist on a well-known formula. What I love the most though, are those puzzles within puzzles - they are so, so entertaining. Moreover, those objects in your inventory at times also require some further interactions and objects combining! Nevertales: The Beauty Within might not be the most challenging game, but it is so innovative and everything is so well thought-out that it is so much fun to play. I love that there are 4 modes of play one of which lets me speed up the hints and/or skips! Apart from those features, you also have a mechanical owl as your companion and he was a hoot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite BFG game so far I don't usually review many games but this one kept me interested from start to finish. I never wanted it to end. Like watching a good movie. The game was easy to navigate, the map was helpful. The game play was fun with good graphics and good sound ( Music, voice overs etc. ) The HOS were interesting with multiple kinds all interactive to the game play. The game was longer than most SE games which was also a plus. Its ending was climactic to the story and didn't leave you hanging like most games do. Very fun game that I highly recommend and would like to see more of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a wonderful way to spend the day I play games for fun and to relax. This games is all that and more. The story makes sense, the mysteries are solvable without spending hours of frustration. The puzzles are solvable. Really my kind of game. I am now starting on the next in the series "The Shattered Image" and must admit I am enjoying it as much as the first one. Well done the developer.
