The Emerald Maiden: Symphony of Dreams Collector's Edition is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The nightmare that you want to last forever!!! I loved this game! Since both games are set in underwater cities if you have heard of Bioshock this will remind you of the game, even though the two are completely different games. The only flaw that I can think of is in the bonus chapter where there was a small amount of 1960s technology and slang (I was born in 1962). This game was set in 1957. During the bonus chapter, there was a reason to believe that there will be a sequel. I am eagerly awaiting that sequel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please make a sequel I really liked playing this game. To me the game ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. That feeling of there being a cliffhanger makes me want there to be a second "The Emerald Maiden" game to be made. If anyone working for Big Fish Games is reading this review, PLEASE make it happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Winning Symphony! Pure Gogii Developer Genius! Finished game plus bonus content equals one happy BFG Gamer. Kicking around trying to find a good game in BFG vast collection. Hmm, think I'll try "The Emerald Maiden Symphony of Dreams". Once started, could not stop! Yay! Fascinated from the onset of walking into The Dream Corporation's eerie underworld facility. Fun, imaginative, creative and literally spell binding story line blending together an ancient artifact with advanced technology. Surreal, yet, Gogii managed to pull off an unbelievable far-fetched almost science fiction into a magical and fun gaming environment. We're not in Kansas any more Toto! Didn't manage to capture all the collectibles in main story and bonus content although I tried! Will definitely go back and replay although that's very rare for me unless the game is worth the replay and this game certainly is in my humble opinion. Enjoyed the story, music, characters, artwork--all pure Gogii genius--even the 82 sketches in the bonus content were interesting not to mention "Atom"--the very 1st game character I didn't mind having along for the ride. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MOST INTERESTING STORYLINE AND GAMEPLAY SUMMARY: Very different. If you want a straight-forward easy-to-follow story, this isn't it. This game plays a lot like a strange dream: you know the one, all kinds of things are happening, but you don't know how or why or when they will connect - you only know that they will. Easy but fun puzzles and HOS. STORY: This game has the most interesting storyline I've come across lately. At first, it seemed the usual story - a child given to an orphanage shortly after search, wants to know her history, yada yada. But once she gets her invitation to a dream facility underwater, there are so many twists, turns and discoveries in what appears to be a land of make-believe (i.e., the typical dream), that you can't wait to turn the next corner to see what happens. GAMEPLAY: So many enjoyable cutscenes, a smattering of easy but fun puzzles, lots of scenes (you get a map) and lots to do, typical list-based HOS (but uncrowded and easy-to-find objects), find the shown object HOS (which are then placed into the scene to complete an object (such as a robot or projector) so it works. Objectives are given periodically. Since magic is supposedly meeting science, the twists and turns and areas to explore are mindshattering and take the same turns as your dreams do. Keeps your mind on its toes. OTHER STUFF: 3 modes plus a customizable mode to an extent. (There are a few more sophisticated customizations out there, but this is still nice.) Nice unobtrusive music. Graphics are clear and the many types of locations are dramatically different but beautiful. Even though the scenes are so distinctive, they flow together seamlessly. No too much in voice overs, but what there are seems natural. CE v. SE: Besides the bonus chapter in the CE, it seems the only collectible is 16 roses. The other CE items seem to be the standard fare - wallpapers, character profiles, et al. I don't think the CE has enough these days to warrant a CE price, so the SE seems to be the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to stop playing! Normally I play for a few minutes each day until I've finished a game - not so with this one. I couldn't wait to get back to it every chance I got. I found this one to be something that was really interesting to me, I loved the story line, the visuals were really appealing and saving the little kittens was great. I think most people would really get into this one, the quality is above average and doesn't become less interesting as you go along. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DARN GOOD GAME!!! One of the better games I've played this year! I really liked the atmosphere of the under water setting and enjoyed how the mystery started gradually building as I was progressing. Lovely cinematics and characters! Great voice acting and the little turtle, robot and kittens were adorable!! :) Highly recommend!! Five stars! Why the low reviews from others is beyond me..pay no mind to the 1-2-3 star reviews..this game was really cool!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Emerald Maiden awaits you, and it's awesome! I really enjoy the story and the 40's deco graphics in this HOPA. The Maiden is a huge facility like a grand Hotel.Your goal is to find your mother aboard the ship, where tons of tasks are required to reach her. You have help along the way with Atom, who is a flying robot. I could play variations of this kind of game for days!!! I love the dream machine as well. Marvelous creation Bigfish and developers.....I want more!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent game This is a very relaxing game. It's more HOS than puzzle, but the HOS scenes are clear and uncluttered (for which tired eyes are grateful) and somewhat unique as finding and using things in multiple ways is necessary to finish the scene. In this regard, the HOS's are sort of mini puzzles. The puzzles themselves are not hard and I found myself enjoying the ease of solving them. There are three levels of play and one for customizing. As I say, it's a relaxing , fairly easy game, so the casual setting may not offer any challenge at all. I've been playing in Expert mode. There's a transporter map ( I won't buy a game without one) and indicators where things need to be done.) The art work is first rate. Also, the story holds together well, and the central theme of entering and exiting dreams to find things adds to the storyline and elevates it above the usual artifact/evil spirit/rescue someone games. This isn't a game that will having you scratching your head and making trips to the strategy guide, but you'll have fun while appreciating the thought the developers put into creating a very satisfying experience.
