Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness 4.1 5 33 33
Wealth Doesn't Always Bring Happiness! When the King allowed suiters to seek his daughters hand in marriage, every Prince from miles around arrived. The Princess wasn't impressed with any of them, until Prince Henrik walked into the room and it was love at first sight! One year later, they are the proud parents of a beautiful royal baby and Magnus has just arrived with a present for the Royal Blessing. This is a very special day and this present is equally as special, a Fairy Godmother named Violet who has been magically bonded to the child and forever bound to protect this child! What could possibly go wrong for this royally blessed family full of love and happiness? Obviously something has to go wrong otherwise it's not much of a story is it? It would seem that Prince Henrik has a secret, a very large debt to repay, a first born child! Turns out the Prince isn't really a Prince, he's just a very ambitious pauper that set out on a quest to find riches when he was just a boy so that he could provide his parents with more wealth and wealth would certainly bring happiness. Somewhere along his journey he made a deal with the darkness, with the evil entity that presides within the Tower of Darkness. Prince Henrik has been turned to stone, and the baby has been taken to the tower, the Princess and Violet must embark on a journey to face this evil before it's too late! I have to give credit when credit is due, for a stand alone non-exclusive game, Queen's Quest is a decent game that will surprise you. The graphics are beautifully hand drawn, and the mechanics of the game flow very nicely, there are even Achievements to earn, some are very original, and there are several collectibles available! That's correct, there are 6 royal crowns, 5 swords, 6 hooks and 6 apples to collect, and the collections can be accessed quickly with the crown icon which is next to the achievement icon on the bottom right of the screen. Violet is a fairy so she's along for the ride to help collect items that are out of reach for the normal person. Again I have to give the devs credit, they have jam packed this game with entertainment, the Hidden Object games are fun but I loved the mini games, some new some old, but all of them so far are just plain ole fun. My favorite game so far was placing colored crystals of different number values so that the sum of two crystals equalled the total that was indicated between them. Many of the games required you to click on items in a specific order by trial and error (if you chose the wrong sequence you had to start over) there was even a series of dungeon doors, each had roman numeral buttons that had to be clicked in a specific order. You would need to interact with the scene surrounding the door first to uncover the correct sequence before opening one of several doors. The Hidden Object Scenes were mostly interactive list finds such as waiting until a lizard changes a series of different colors and clicking on the lizard once he turned orange for an orange lizard. A few of the scenes were repeated a second time with silhouettes of several keys for example. To sum it all up, this is a very entertaining game with a great story. Each scene has several active areas, and you get many features with this game that are usually only available in collectors edition which makes this game a bargain in my opinion. The only complaint I have with this game is with the map which is too time consuming to access because you have to click on the journal and then click on the compass, but once you do, the map will allow quick travel to that location which is a plus. This game is definitely worth the price and most definitely worth a credit, enjoy! October 7, 2014
Excellent Game CE for SE Price This game is one of the best SEs I've played. It is way better that most of the CEs being released lately. Beautiful clear graphics, interesting characters/storyline, collectables and a bonus chapter. And the character's lips move which is one of my pet peeves for a CE though I will let a SE slide on it. I can't believe this isn't a CE. Definite buy for me. October 8, 2014
What fun! Now that's a good SE with CE bling! There are hidden crowns and swords and possibly other things, not too sure. I love it when you get bonus items in an SE. I've really enjoyed the story so far, and the scenes are illustrated beautifully. The mini games are interesting and different. The HOs are pretty standard, with only some minor interaction, but the art is so good it's just fun to look at then while playing. There is a map of sorts (not too complex) but still useful and teleporting. The hint is directional, unless something is doable in a scene. You get a fairy thing to fetch high up stuff for you, but it is not too annoying. The VOs are pretty good, except for the Prince, who sounds a bit preppy. All in all, a nice addition to the collection. Well done! October 7, 2014
Extras make this almost a CE! Super game, old story line but still a great game to play. Love the collectibles, bonus chapter. Really worth more than five stars! October 9, 2014
A unique game full of extras (Based on finished game, written by a none native) This SE was the surprise of the day! It is full of new ideas, creative solutions. The graphics are bright and very nice. I loved every moment of it. :-) Thank you Brave Giant Studio, thank you BFG! October 7, 2014

I ENJOYED THIS GAME WAY MORE THAN A LOT OF CE IVE PLAYED SUPERB COLOR GREAT SOOTHING MUSIC GOOD STORY I WILL BUY ANY GAME YOU MAKE SOOO GET BUSY!!!! October 27, 2014
(Almost) the perfect standard HO game! After a totally over the top and campy beginning, you are off to rescue your baby from the evil mage. This is an excellent game for beginners and intermediates, because it gives plenty of sparkle hints and the story line is straightforward. Graphics are excellent and clear, as well as artistically interesting. I'm soooo tired of gorey graphics in HO games. Having said that, I consider myself between an intermediate and expert gamer and I found it relaxing and amusing. Importantly the puzzles were not too many and do-able, an important factor when one wants a HIDDEN OBJECT game! Hint to HOG programmers:) There is a map to help you jump from place to place, although the map places are pretty straightforward. Also a journal that gives some timely hints. I can see how they could make a CE for this, as the Prince was still not accounted for at the end of the game. Actually I think he is better left off. (See campy and over the top reference above! <G>) Another thing I liked for beginners is that the morphing objects were fairly obvious, and there were morphing objects in the HOPs as well, which teaches one an important lesson about HOG's - take your time. The only thing I thought was poor was the music/sound effects, which were canned and distracting. Not to worry one can turn off the sound - I often like to listen to my own music while playing anyway. So: get this game! It is well worth the price. Did I mention they had 4 hidden object games free at the end? Cool! October 8, 2014
This one surprises me in most ways This game has a good sense of humor in subtle ways, beautiful visuals, unusual puzzles and an interesting story. My only criticism is I wish they had made the HOPs more unique (which are always my least liked part of a game and something I click through without enjoyment). Still, overall, the game is great and fun to play. Try it. You will like it. October 7, 2014
Excellant game I was happy to see a HOG that wasn't so complicated that it was difficult to follow the storyline and to keep track of the inventory. Standard princess story so nothing new there but interesting hog scenes where objects morphed. I enjoyed playing this game. October 7, 2014
FUN!!! "The Storm of the Century" by stephen king it reminds me of "the storm of the century" by stephen king. there was so many amazing puzzles to do. you are the mother of a baby girl, and you have to get her back before its too late. i'm not going to tell you the rest because i don't want to spoil it. you'll have to get it for yourself . IT SO FUN!!! February 12, 2015
