fun at last This game sucked me in so quickly that when the demo time was up I didn't hesitate to buy it. Same old story line, but the way it involves you is great. Small tweaks of accepted forms made this intriguing and fun. I didn't even mind the minigames, which for once did not overshadow everything. I particularly appreciate being allowed to stay in a room until all of the games are done-- no chasing back to the beginning, through 30 twists and turns, to pick up one tiny piece that can't be used until the very end. Normally I'll play a game in 30-minute increments, but I played this one through to the end. Not too spooky, not too frustrating--this is a game I'll be playing again. October 9, 2014
Strange and fearful Castle The first thing you notice - great graphics and lots of animations, music and voice-over is also at altitude. Ghosts, strange and fearful mansion (or castle?), strange apparatuses - all this is great. The plot can be called a common, though, in the future it may will surprise (my review is based on the demo). Play definitely worth. Especially for those who like a leisurely and relaxing games. I'll like to play in the old style games. This is one of them. October 8, 2014
I Was Worried Aside from a few pieces of missing music in the opening this game is surprisingly top notch. I was worried but the characters had a lot of depth, while being cute and funny. Even the gruesome things had humor and the ghouls could be described as nothing but "hot". I'm still waiting for the first ghoul to come back and am buying this game because I can't wait to see him again. I love muscles. Forget the "save my daughter" storyline, I want to jump in the wall with ghoul #1. October 8, 2014
In a Word - CHARMING I LOVE this game. I so appreciate the kind developers designing a game that when you're in a particular place and you're hunting around for items you actually GET TO use those found items THERE...none of this "going allllll the way back to your car, for instance, and then coming allllll the way back." This fabulous feature not only supplies continuity but keeps the pace and in my case, interest, going. Some of the HOs are intereactive and the mini-games, tho' even not brain-draining, are FUN! I'm going to play this game AGAIN and AGAIN! October 10, 2014
DON'T PLAY THIS ONE AT NIGHT !!!!!!! OH MY..... THIS IS A CREEPY ONE !! BUT, IF YOU CAN GET PAST THAT, YOU WILL FIND THIS ONE IS A LOT OF FUN TO PLAY. IT HAS EVERYTHING I LOOK FOR IN A CE BUT THIS IS A STEAL AS A SE. I DIDN'T SEE WHO THE DEVELOPERS WERE BUT THEY ARE GOOD !!!! THE GRAPHICS ARE FABULOUS AND THE STORY GRABS YOU RIGHT AWAY. I DIDN'T EVEN PLAY THE ENTIRE TRIAL BECAUSE I COULDN'T WAIT TO OWN IT. IT EVEN HAS COLLECTIBLES, THAT YOU HAVE TO REALLY LOOK FOR BECAUSE THEY COULD BE ANYWHERE, IN A SCENE, OR IN A GAME OR EVEN IN A HOG. NOW, I AM GOING TO TAKE MY OWN ADVICE AND WAIT TO PLAY THIS ONE DURING THE DAYLIGHT. HAVE FUN !!!!! October 9, 2014
Top notch SE and very creepy. This is a very well made standard edition. The art and cut scenes are top notch and the game play is innovative, far beyond what is normally seen in a standard edition that is not a cut down collector edition. It's quite creepy too and a great lead in to Halloween. October 9, 2014
Wow! What a surprise! I needed to use one of my free game credits and decided to try this game. I was very pleasantly surprised to find myself thoroughly enjoying this game. It is certainly different, sometimes that's a plus ( I play alot of games!). The morph's are hard to find, but I enjoyed looking, even though I didn't find all of them. Highly recommmend this game! DIFFERENT AND FUN i REALLY ENJOYED THIS GAME. THE CUSTOM CURSOR IS THIS BIG BLINKING EYEBALL HELD IN YOUR SKELETON HAND, SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THE OTHER REVIEWER THOUGHT IT WAS BIG AND UNWIELDY. I FOUND IT REALLY FUN, WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO HAVE A BIG EYEBALL IN YOUR HAND? . HIDDEN OBJECTS HAD SOME TWISTS AND THE GAMES WERE EVENLY SPACED. THERE ARE GHOSTS, BROKEN MIRRORS, REALLY ODD CHARACTERS AND EVEN SOME HUMOR. REALLY WORTH BUYING! October 8, 2014
Great Game Play - Fun to the End!! This one was a bit of a surprise; I didn't expect much, but it ended up being a lot of fun! The story line is well thought out & logical. The voice-overs were well done, & the ghosts were really believable. I enjoyed helping them out, The graphics are good. They can be a bit fuzzy at times, but it didn't slow the game-play at all. Most of the scenes are interactive, including the HO scenes. There's the added plus in this game of Morphs. Granted, I didn't find them all the first time through. Some can be very subtle, so you may have to stare at the scene for quite a while if you're looking to find all 50 of them. The mini-games were fun & varied. None of them were very hard to figure out. They also followed the gameplay well. As far as re-play value, I'd say it's high [because of the morphs to find]. I'm glad I got this one, & will keep it in my collection. January 14, 2015
A wonderful surprise with a twist on movement I rarely have as much fun as I did with this game. This one is unique in that it's not an adventure game in the purest sense of the word. Each room had things for you to do before you could go into another location. This made having a map unnecessary and I didn't even miss it. Everything you have to do interacts with other things in the room and it's all pure fun. The first part of the game seems like child's play, literally, but oh did I have fun reliving my childhood there. I'm not a fan of puzzles when I have to skip them but all of them in the game are fun and doable. The only glaring fault of this game is the story. It's pretty sparse and the ending is lame, but if the story is the least of your concerns with fun being the most important, then check out this game. The demo is a good indicator of whether you'll like the rest of it. The most unique feature I found was entering another room by being transported through a window. It really feels like you're moving right through the frame. Try it! August 10, 2015
