Silent Scream II: The Bride is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 86.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ghost story, with LOTS of HOPS!! Well-crafted tale and good-length game. Great mood created by the way this game is directed: the intentional pauses and gradual zoom-ins, just like in a movie. The graphics have plenty of light and are artsy (not cartoonish or gaudy). Lots of sound effects that enhance the game like rain and thunder. The characters are done well and are well-voiced. I I found the very end a little disappointing because it just didn’t seem to fit. The first twist is good, but then it does it again, and it seemed like a very silly twist to me that wasn’t required, but never mind! The HOPS often have cleverly hidden objects, although can be a little blurry at times. The puzzles are a mixed bag and if you click the hint, you will actually see the solution. There is skip too. This is an older game with no lip sync. No map or journal, but it’s not that difficult as far as navigation goes, because the hint system will help you in the right direction. I don’t mind traveling the same route multiple times when the art-work is good, because it’s like I’m really there. Other notes: inventory doesn’t stay locked, plus doesn’t fill the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a spoiled rotton brat! There are three things I look for in my games. A good map. one that gives tasks and you can travel through. an inventory bar that does not pop up and down every time you move. can't remember the third but there is a third. this game has none of them but it did have a lot of good stuff too~ I'm very spoiled I know. For the forks who don't want all that ,they don't even have to look at a map. Me I want a map!!!! Thank You for letting me vent. this is not really a bad review. I liked the game

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT GAME - WELL WORTH PLAYING Review based on completed game. I really enjoyed this game. You have: * Voiceovers; * Thrilling and Nightmare modes of play; * Journal; * Can rewatch videos. I played on Nightmare mode which has a chain over the hint button so you can't skip or hint anything. Bravo. The graphics are surprisingly good and easy to see everything. Sound and music was good. The music was intensively creepy which was apt for the game. There were a lot of HOS to play which, surprisingly enough, I really enjoyed. Normally I don't like too many but, because of the storyline line and with lots of tasks to do, I didn't mind doing them at all. They were not too hard and there didn't appear to be any teeny tiny items which were hard to see, so don't take long to do at all. The mini-games were fun. I've seen them all before but I still enjoyed them. They are not hard to do and I never felt out of my depth at all. There were the usual ones of making a recipe, catching bugs, connect the wires, etc. All up the game took me about 4 hours to play. I wished it had been longer cause I was really enjoying it. The ending had an unexpected twist which I had a good laugh at because it wasn't what I had expected. Well done. Didn't see that coming. So definitely worth playing. If you like a good story, good graphics, lots of HOS and mini-games, then this is the game for you. Well done developers. I'm going to keep an eye out for them in future games. If they keep this up and progress their games, they will be a good contender as one of the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game ... don't why some people didn't find it so I'm not sure what people didn't like about this game ... it was great. I'm usually very bored by these games but this one held my interest. I even liked all the HOGs which I usually don't care for. Well done, well done. Check it out first to make sure you like this style of game

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG!!! What a delightful story. After demoing Silent Scream: The Dancer, and hating it, I almost didn't try this game. I am so glad I did. I don't believe I've enjoyed playing any game as much as I did this one. It's about a "Cinderella" marriage - girl marries rich guy and they are on their way to his mansion for their honeymoon. What happens next is a true mystery. I was pulled through game. I just couldn't stop playing until I got to the end, which was 3:00 a.m. The HOS are very easy and some of the puzzles are very hard, but there is a skip button #I love a skip button#. The hints are the usual in the HOS and directional during game play. The hint recharges quickly in the easier of the 2 modes. The music is haunting and matching the story, which is a mature theme, not recommended for children. The developers have cleaned up their act so now you can pick up objects as you find them like in other HOGs. Some objects still have to be merged, but it's much cleaner in how its done -- there is a merge button. I loved the scenery and the voiceovers were okay #but no lips moved#. I wasn't expecting the ending. This one got me. Best game of intrigue I've played lately. Play the demo and I think you'll be surprised at how this game really keeps your attention. The game moves very fast, so even a beginner would enjoy this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dark and Eerie Hidden Object Adventure Based on the Demo If you like hidden object games this one's for you. There were eight of them in the 45 minute demo. There was one mini puzzle but tasks throughout that required collecting things and figuring out what to do with them. The graphics and visuals were beautifully done. There was a scene with a creepy abandoned hut in the woods, I could almost smell the decay it was so realistic and so gruesome. The soundtrack was eerie, haunting, creepy most of the time, but sometimes it was just annoying with just a single piano note playing over and over. Voiceovers were really good. The storyline is great. It is the day of the heroine, Jessica's, wedding. She and hubby are leaving for the honeymoon when they have a horrific wreck. She finds herself bloodied and trapped by her seat belt with her groom gone amidst a shattered windshield and bloody car. The creep factor is very high in this one. It's great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Silent Scream II: The Bride This one will most certainly end up being one of my favorites. I played the trial and I can hardly wait to own it. Lots of spooky in it but very absorbing from the first click.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Was the car accident really and accident??? I love this story from beginning to end, and what an ending indeed. You can't even guess the outcome of this horror mystery. Just follow the ghost of Annie to learn everything. British v/o's and lots to do. Oh and the cut scene thru the clinic is mesmerizing!!! I think this one is destined to be a classic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WELL THIS WAS CERTAINLY A SURPRISE SUMMARY: Game was a little over 3 hours casual. Plenty of nicely-arranged HOS and fairly easy puzzles. Hints show the direction to take. No map needed. Graphics are good, except they are sometimes bleary (though I think that is the intention). FIRST RATE STORY: Out of TV's 48 Hours. A young bride and her new husband take off for the mansion after their wedding, only to crash. She is injured, trapped and just coming out of consciousness. Her husband is no where to be found, so she takes off on foot to the mansion. Turns out he did not leave her to get help. Worse than the worse cad in the world. She finds out he has deep and very dark secrets. WHY I UPPED THE OVERALL RATING: The ending was somewhat abrupt and although I know what happened, I’m not sure what the meaning is behind it. Perhaps someone else who has completed the game has an interpretation. I upped the final overall rating to 5 stars because of the creative and compelling storyline - good enough for a feature film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ended to quick I enjoyed the game, the way the scenes are played you expect someone to catch you, but nothing happens, but it does get the adrenalin going, good game, but it ended to quick for me, j62janet
