Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps getting better and better Finally made it to the 5th episode and I enjoyed it the best of all. Some other reviews mentioned it was the final episode but apparently not. There are two more episodes that I will eventually get. Not sure if they will be the last. There are some new and different things in this episode that I liked. One was the new HOS where you have to find different colored objects that are only visible when you change the color of the screen - red objects with red screen etc. Water scenes had reactions to clicking on the water or objects in the water. There were multiple matching pairs and pictoral matches to be done. There are a lot of minigames many with little direction and I found a few I skipped as I could not figure out what needed to be done. There are a lot of puzzles to figure out to advance the game and move to the next chapter. most are fairly easy to figure out but if you get stuck just click on the goals tab and the owl will give you directions. There is a map but I found it easier just to travel to locations on my own as the labels were written in some language and you had to hold the cursor over a location to see the translation. The pocket dragon is back and in this episode he can be changed to do different things like fire, cold, wind, etc. Fun Game

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creative creatures and puzzles While the art has always been top notch in this series, it is the most original and creative in this game. There are several characters known as djinns (genies) of different types that are not your standard fantasy creatures. They seem to be original creations that are breathtakingly beautiful. The puzzles, which have always been very simple in this series, are more challenging and while fitting into the standard categories of the genre, they have an added element of challenge/originality that make things more interesting. E.g. the standard "match pairs" puzzle has the objects in 3D space, rotating at different speeds around an axis, making the puzzle non-trivial to solve. A delightful game, just like all of the others in the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love the Awakening series I bought "Awakening; The Dreamless Castle", first. It sounded fun. I was not disappointed. After that, I bought the rest of the "Awakening" series, and played them in order. The story line is wonderful, continuing through each game and leading into the next game. The puzzles and hidden objects are challenging. But, they aren't too difficult, so I don't choose to skip them. There is always help. Everything is connected to the quest. I like the characters I meet along the way.The graphics and sounds are not too bold, yet not too mild. It's just right. Since I own the entire series, I can go back to the "Dreamless Castle" and start over, at the beginning. I doubt I will ever lose interest in the adventures of Princess/ Queen Sophia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ENCHANTING AND CREATIVE STORY: Princess Sophia is now Queen of her kingdom and must go in search of the one person who can bring her parents out of their deep sleep. Well-developed storyline. Pocket dragon is back and this time he gets an additional power of wind. The hint system (the owl) is specific if you need help navigating the scenes. OTHER STUFF: Your journal has information needed to solve some of the puzzles, as well as a map showing where actions are pending on Easy Mode. Music is non-intrusive. Graphics are magnificent; crisp and clear; the artistry is first-class using colors to create the various visually-appealing environments. Well conceived and executed details to make the atmospheres come to life. Superb! GAMEPLAY: Mostly adventure, requiring finding objects in the HOS and solving fun and interesting puzzles. Good ratio of HOS and mini-games. The HOS are either list-based or pictures of different colors. For the pictures, you have to change the overall hue of the scene to one of the colors of the pictures before you can collect them. [Ex: you have red, blue, green and yellow objects. Change the hue of the scene to red to collect any red objects, then change the hue to blue to collect the blue objects, etc.] Puzzles are unique and challenging. SUMMARY: An outstanding, beautifully conceived game with flawless play and enchanting environments to navigate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Based on DEMO Based on the demo of the game, Awakening: The Sunhook Spire was a great change of pace compared to the last one, and before I knew it, my hour was up! It is the most visually stunning of the games, I believe. The puzzles I tried weren't too hard, but a few did give a nice challenge. Others have already said what they think of the full game, but as a long-time fan, I think this would be worth the full buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better and better This game gets more and more inventive at each installment. The way they handle HOGs is probably the most unusual. Not only they are interactive, but also you have to switch back and forth between scenes. The mingames are also inventive. The storyline continues Sophia's saga. Since the story does not end yet, we may be looking at a new, more inventive game soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best of the series! I really enjoyed this game, most entertaining. The graphics were picturesque with lots of eye candy that made you smile at viewing each new area. But importantly, the game did not rely on this only to capture the gamer. The storyline is good and the game never swayed from the purpose of the story. I like that! There are many unique mini games to enjoy, they made you think a lot. Fantastic voice overs and smooth cut scenes which blend without black screens in between (I hate when games do that). The HOS are well thought-out displays and are enough to add interest for HOS lovers without being overdone. The characters are stunning in their mannerisms and outfitted in detailed splendor that sometimes I actually paused just to look at them. I definitely recommend this game.
