The Torment of Mont Triste Collector's Edition is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Torment Here Just Puzzles and Mini-Games Galore! Completed 2013 game plus bonus. Thanks to Sulus Games who brings an enjoyable hidden object with spectacular artwork and a non-intrusive, very soothing musical score. At first, gamers may scorn the almost childish story line, however, sit back, relax and have fun as this is the goal. No shock treatment or horror here as I've grown so weary of late and found this gem in my BFG game collection. Humor is interwoven and most assuredly this game is a labor of love from the purest of hearts. Puzzles and mini-games were challenging so don't give in to that skip button! I always try to recommend very good older games so check my reviews as they're written following game completion and not for popularity. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME GAME IN ALL CATEGORIES Hi gamers. I really, really loved this game. The story line, graphics, music and mini games were great. I played on hardcore which had no hand holding at all. I started playing yesterday and didn't finish until today! Nice long games, gotta love that. This game is so worth the buy in my book. Happy Gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FUN-FACTOR SKY HIGH, EXECUTED BEAUTIFULLY BASED ON COMPLETED GAME IN 2nd (Advanced) of 3 modes. It had few sparkles around HOS, minimal black bar hints. Terrific! This game has all the classic elements to make for top quality gaming. The story instantly draws the player in, then delivers unique and top quality artwork/graphics, HOS, MINI-GAME, and ADVENTURE that keep the player absorbed rather than serving as a distraction. The team did a wonderful job keeping quality on "High" through to the end. DETAILS ------------- STORY/GAME PLAY: Our mission is to save a the people of a town trapped in their own nightmares. The back story unfolds in cut-scenes with VOs as the player discovers various documents throughout the town. The story advances as the player, using a special doo-hicky, enters the nightmares of the town folk one by one conquering the evil within. What a great construct-all kinds of room for sequels. ARTWORK/GRAPHICS: Despite the variety of locations in the nightmares, the scenes are cohesive and well integrated with beautifully rendered, vibrant but not gaudy graphics. The artwork was unique, offering the humorous, the kooky, the gorgeous, the sinister-Whatever needed for nightmare lands. I just stopped and looked at many scenes. There was a lot to see and meticulous detail. HOS: The artwork/graphics made the scenes and items fun and interesting. Most HOS are mildly interactive and there are a couple of silhouette style. MINI-GAMES: This is where this game breaks from the pack, taking the lead. Never did I have the sense of "been there done that". The games were beautiful, fun, UNIQUE, and some with twists on old favorites that made these games new to me. There are a good number of them. I really loved them all. THANKS so much team. KUDOS on an excellent job! ADVENTURE: Plenty o' things to find and hidden well enough to be easily overlooked. I appreciated that at times the next action was not obvious and required thought. MUSIC: Sorry, didn't listen, so can't comment. COLLECTIBLES: YES. 21 easily located little gargoyles. I suspect those who love morphing/cursed objects and collectibles will probably not be satisfied. AWARDS: YES. Nothing special. Each time a chapter (Nightmare turned to dream) completed there was an award in addition to the usual fair of completing HOS with no hints, etc. GIMMICKS: YES. Nightmares are entered through a special device that is kept at the bottom left part of the screen and glows whenever it is time to use it. There was also for a time an ice butterfly and a forest Sprite providing assistance. ------------------- REALLY great job team! This is the perfect game for those drawn to HOS, MINI-GAME, ADVENTURE with little hand holding. Those who want more meaty action in the achievements and collectibles category may be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "This is a keeper" I loved everything about this game. The voice overs were not fake they sounded great. The visual aspects of the game are excellent. I just finished playing the trial version and I can't wait to buy it. I want to keep playing because I really got into this game. This game is, I would say for beginners and intermediate players. There is no hand holding it's pretty much common sense. You don't have so much inventory that it drives you crazy of trying to remember where to use it. There is something that you have to collect. The HOS are not junk piles. They are clear and easy to find and interactive. There is map that can transfer you from one scene to another which is a plus. Try this game. If you like HO games that are easy on the brain or your just tired and want to play a game that you don't have to think so hard on, try this one. It's a winner for me. Thank you BF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a fascinating storey line! based on the demo this one will be a buy but when it comes out in regular. great hint button and a map, I didn't need the collectors info at all during the demo so will pass on the collectors edition since I don't care much about extra's and I don't use sound so cant rate that but this will be a buy for me. a fun and intriguing game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't stop me now When my free play was ended, I wanted to keep playing so I purchased the game. It is a lot of fun. The story line is really good, and the map, makes it easy to know what to do next. The graphics are really neat. I recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your Dreams Become Nightmares! The longer you play, the better it gets. The premise of entering a nightmare and defeating the demons of the dream has been done many times, but in this one the dreams are cool (in fact, the first one is cold!) and solving the nightmare is tricky. You are a detective who has been summoned to the town of Mont Triste and before you can even enter the town, your coachman falls asleep and the world becomes snow-covered. You meet Blanc, a boy who gives you the Amulet of Dreams, so you can go inside the nightmare and resolve the problem and stop the snow. It seems the Lord of Nightmares has appeared and is taking over everyone's dreams. He kind of looks like the scientist Heny Benoit who was trying to bridge reality and dreams but his experiment went awry. Blanc is eventually captured by the Lord of Nightmares so you have to save him as well as the town. The game has clever mini-puzzles to solve -- some easy, some I had to skip. The HOS are all lists, with a few twists -- one has items floating in air. There are 21 stone goblins to find, 3 modes of play, locking inventory, widescreen support, and a fast recharging hint button. The more I played, the more involved I became. A definite buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't torment me!! I liked this game very much, even though similar storylines has been told many times. The graphics are very good, playability is good, there is also a map to jump scenes. The game flows well and the Ho screens are clear. There are lock puzzles a plenty and gargoyles to collect just for a bit more interest. I enjoyed the demo very much and a definite buy for me.
