Dangerous Games: Prisoners of Destiny Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHY DO WE LIKE "GAMES WITHIN GAMES"(Thoughts) I'm giving this five stars because I greatly enjoyed it, It was great fun and made with care and imagination. recommend highly! It is a game within a game and on the Jumanji Model, like Surface Game of Gods for another example... perhaps future game within games makers will find other ways to present and frame the situation of being within a game? two possible reasons occcur to me as to why we, many of us,like the form of a game within a game. 1. It represents going down to a deeper level-- immersion, through the game we are playing, in something beyond the immediate surface of play... perhaps down towards the barely conscious dreams and memories we harbor... 2.Do we have a sense that we are ourselves beings with another life ,maybe not prior in time but prior in depth, beyond that of the day to day world we see? That we could somehow find a stairway or a door or a portal to a world of which this is just a shadow? Whether these senses accord with reality or are just some will feel human dreams is another question... for my part and speaking more lightly ,in a Hudson Valley Winter, I am looking for and believing in a Door to Summer. Anyway a very fine game...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Beautifully Done. Based on completion of the main and bonus games I found this the most beautifully visual game I've ever played. This game wasn't easy IMHO but I made good use of the strategy guide. There are puzzle shaped collectibles in most of the scenes and they are usually very well hidden. I found all but one. The HOS consists of only junk piles and are not revisited. I really enjoyed these scenes as they were filled with lovely things to look at. You really have to look carefully to find the items, but they are all in plain sight. I loved these. Most of the puzzles were fairly easy but there were some I just gave up and skipped. Even using the SG I couldn't solve it. This is the first game I didn't use the hint button once so I can't say how it works. The map gave me all the help I needed (well that and the strategy guide). There was another Dangerous Game that came out this week and since BF was doing a 2 for 1 sale I chose to buy this one and I'm so glad I did. You should play the demo and make your own decision. For me this was a must have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prisoners of destiny is an incredibly fantastic CE.... I respectfully disagree with fellow contributors, and I cannot understand why this stunning adventure has received low ratings. I loved every minute of this epic world and I didn't want to leave..... Help defeat an evil villain named Simon, while saving your friends Ben and Louisa with the use of teleportation cards. The cards also double as magical powers to aid your journey. You are also accompanied by purple rabbit companion that is essential in assisting you throughout the game. You soon discover that the "keepers" of the game need new players to "feed" the game. An inventive twist to the HOPA genre. This developer has an awesome imagination and I hope to see more of this series. I can't praise this one enough. Bigfish breaks the ceiling with this winner. Bonus game is fabulous also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best This one surprised me. It was very long, visually beautiful, complex and held my interest all the way through. So much to do and the bonus chapter was long as well. I don't buy too many CE's but this one was definitely worth it. The only negative for me was I sometimes had to click more than once and have the cursor in exactly the right spot to pick up an item in the HO's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Mini Games New Story Line Finally a HOG w/ a new story line and new mini-games; I loved the world I was immersed into when the evil card game sucked me into it with mythological creatures and an awesome bonus game and a special puzzle if you found all the pieces during the game play (which its alot harder to find these pieces than a morphing object thats for sure) my eye found it hard to pick those pieces out even tho they were in sight. I was not able to win all the achievements first time around either so abit of a tough game but refreshing in its newness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best game I've played in a while! Others have done a great job of reviewing but I must add my 5 stars to it for it's creativity and originality. The bonus game is equally as good and I recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't miss this one These developers are just getting better and better. After playing a few games where I just wanted to finish them and forget them, I was utterly captivated by this one and put everything else on hold. The scenery is stunning, your helpful pet adorable, and the story line is so different from the usual. A deadly card game sends you into other worlds where you are not expected to survive. The creatures in these lands are sometimes helpful and sometimes not, but always entertaining. You try to find magical cards that will transport you to another world. Each world is different. Some people may find the puzzles on the easy side, and this may make it not the longest game you've ever played (or perhaps I enjoyed it so much I was just greedy for more) . Nice bonus chapter. Map to make movement between areas easier, with designated areas needing attention color coded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Game! A NEW storyline! Good twists and turns. Fun to figure out what to do. The hints and map were excellent tools for me. I enjoyed the graphics and music, though at times it was a bit too loud when you had to listen to certain puzzles. The comic relief of the magical animal was great as well.
