Customer Reviews
Dangerous Games: Prisoners of Destiny is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trapped in a card game that you have to survive and win to get out Times are hard in the big city so a college friend suggests you come to the small town of Brownville, Louisiana as there is plenty of work available there. You travel there by bus to meet your friend at Simon's Club that is owned by the owner of the local garment factory where you will be working. Arriving there, a woman materializes from thin air and warns you not to stay as Brownville is dangerous. You decide to stay and enter the club where your friend Ben and his wife Louise and your new boss, Simon are waiting. Strangely, Simon wants to play a game of cards before he tells you about the new job. When you turn over the first card, you are suddenly teleported into the scene on the card. You are now trapped there and must play the game and survive in order to escape. Your friend Ben and his wife are there also and you all have to survive the game. Simon is controlling the game and must have players to increase his power. You find a deck of power cards that can be used to help you during your play but they must be charged before they can be used. Something a little different from the norm is always good. Graphics are cartoon type but very well done with bright colors. Game play was moved along with some nice cutscenes with good voice overs. Music was ok but became annoying after a while. There is a journal and task list a locking Inventory bar and a jump map that was helpful especially toward the end when you had to visit multiple sights to finish the game. Along the way, you meet and help various creatures including one that becomes a magic companion that you get to name and that does various things for you. You also meet that woman that warned you at the beginning that you ignored who also helps you. The HOS are very interactive lists with most of the interactions requiring more than one step. Items are clear with most being easily found and some faded or partially hidden. Puzzles were varied and most were fairly easy. A very enjoyable game with a sensible ending.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ? CE or SE? No doubt a buy, the reviews made up my mind that the SE was the way to go for the best value, but value is fully here. What a great game! I am not one for the story but this one was fun and imaginative and I liked it. The HO games were fun good interaction...have seen some more innovative but this one was good. The scenes and the story worked together so well because the mystic quality came across in the picturing of the landscapes. Check it out...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great game Not often I could rate a game as being a 5 star, but this game unexpectedly creeps up as a slow starter and just gets better and better. Congrats to the developers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice game I liked this game. Graphics were really nice. It is more like an adventure game with puzzles. Some folks complain about having to go back and forth, but I think it helps memory, so I don't mind that. It has a map anyway. It took me a while to complete and some of the puzzles were different. I liked the story too. This was better than a lot of the games I've played. Would like to see more from this developer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good game What a nice surprise! This is a very good game, original and well designed. Quality is maintained until the end and this is very important for me. Very good length. I am surprised that this game did not have more ratings because this game is unusual. I highly recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Long !!!!! This was a free game. Such a long game for a SE. Just by chance I picked this one. I am still playing after a long time. It's worth it even if you pay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshing, original game in the spirit of Jumanji The game is extremely good and has well designed elements, from visual aspects to the story. Authors had an original, non cliche idea for the game and they realized it well. There is nothing in the game that I could complain about. It brought back the memories of one of the favorite movies from my childhood, Jumanji. Finally, often standard versions are just collector ones with cut out endings, which is not very pleasant. This is not the case here. Standard edition tells a complete story, just ending with a teaser for the collectors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Game! Everything about this game was excellent; the story, graphics, it's length and the interesting and different mini games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fun and holds the interest... I normally do not like games with cute characters and more fantasy elements, but this game held my interest completely. Everything about it was entertaining and interesting. I am not a long-winded reviewer, so I apologize for not providing details, but I would say that even if you normally like the darker games like I do, you will still enjoy this one. It is challenging.
