It Passes Time ... Graphics & Sound Barely Passable By The Standard Of Most Games We See On Here ... I Skipped All The Anecdotes Just To Whiz Through The Adventure Aspect ... It Serves To Pass A Couple Of Hours During The Rainy Season ... Nothing More ... And Ends Abruptly ... December 8, 2014
Interesting Story But Uninteresting Gameplay Jack Olsen was a journalist who died in a fatal car accident while investigating the JFK assassination for an upcoming 50th anniversary article. FBI agent Jane Sully, must now investigate this accident which seems to be no accident at all, has Jack Olsen been murdered? What information did he discover that couldn't be made public? This sounds like a very interesting subject, however the game mechanics were so outdated that I had no desire to even finish the demo. This is a click and drag style game allowing you to zoom into any section of the scene, even the inventory items you use have to be dragged to the desired location, you cannot simply click on the item and then click again to use that item. Everytime you click to move to another location or even a zoomed in area, you have to wait an eternity for the game to load while you stare at a book. There are a ton of Hidden Object Scenes, they are all list finds, but you have to open up several drawers, cabinets and boxes to find all of the items. There are several opaque file folders in eas HO scene that will give you an interesting factoid about President John F. Kennedy, some of which I have never heard. JFK apparently purchased an emergency stock of 1000 cigars before issuing an embargo upon Cuba (Coober) Mini games were less abundant but actually aren't that bad, such as swapping sections of wave length lines on three different sections so that the wave lengths made a continuous and connected line. The game states that the situations described in this video game are partly inspired by real events and real people, living or dead, they remain purely fictional. My only question would be, does that mean the factoids are fictional or non fictional? Personally, I wouldn't even use a credit on this game, perhaps the game improves as you progress. Great Idea, Falls Flat This game looks like it was developed in 1963 (had we PC?s back then), however, you are an agent playing in current time period (we have a black president in the game). It was the subject matter and the investigative ability that drew me in. It was the feel and flow of the game that made me run as fast as I could. I prefer to play a game through before voicing an option, however after 3 minutes (yes, 3 minutes per game manager), I deleted the game immediately. There is no voice over, graphics are mediocre, music annoying and not fit for game. While those factors may be overlooked once in a while, this has all three in your face in one game. There is so much bad and zero good, this review is going to be short. With the quality of games out there now, this game should not have been contracted by BFG. I am sorry this is harsh for the dev?s (I am assuming they are a new start-up), however, they should have known better. A first time developer or gamer to the casual gaming genre would know there are minimum standards expected by gamers. The fact that BFG offered this to their members is surprising, and a waste of our time. Very disappointing. Please, DO try the demo before purchase. PLEASE! December 6, 2014
Waste of time! One of the worst BF games I've seen in a long time. I wanted to quit almost as soon as I began playing the demo. It's a hot mess with more emphasis on "mess" than anything else! The whole "printer" thing is a fiasco. I wouldn't purchase this if it was the last hidden object game on the planet!!! December 7, 2014
Not worth it The graphics are slow and seemingly outdated, the game runs slow, and any interest I may have had in solving this case (which looked good and drew me in as soon as I saw it) has been driven right out of me. No map, no hovering over something and getting a popup telling you what it is, no voice-over, no direction, no list of quests or any idea what you are to do next. Just another bad attempt at a point and click that bites the dust. I can't even make it through the demo. December 7, 2014
Don't bother The game is one of the worst I have seen. No other comment is necessary. December 7, 2014
Ancient & Awful I'm not sure where BFG dug this one up-but they should be ashamed of foisting this game on their customers. Everything about this game says old, older, ancient. Sound & music are loud & annoying & can't be adjusted, only turned on or off. No voice overs, only "talking" heads that look like ventriloquists dummies. Graphics in general are very old, older, ancient school. Tutorial & hints slow & clunky. HOS clunky & too frequent. No Map & in my opinion, no redeeming qualities at all. I played less than 10 minutes, quit & uninstalled the game. I would not recommend wasting your time even playing the free trial. I usually give BFG the benefit of the doubt & have been, in general, very satisfied with their games & customer service, but this time I am actually angry that they wasted my time with this ancient & awful game. Waiting.... Loading...Not one of my favorite features. Even though I choose not to have a tutorial the game still directed my every move. I did like the difficulty of the hidden object scenes. December 8, 2014
Why can't you give zero rating? This game is awful. Options - really? - sound/music on/off that's it No voiceover so have to read all the dialogue - well I thought you did but it turns out that hardly matters. This game is so bad, it got deleted after the completion of the first HO scene. Antiquated graphics and engine make it so frustrating that you give up before getting anywhere near the demo time limit. It could have been a good game but this version of the JFK story turns it into a farce. Really it is not worth bothering to download the demo, it is that bad. Avoid - save your time- skip this game.
