Rated 5 out of 5 by from RUSTIC OUTDOORS, LOTS of HOPS & PLENTY OF PUZZLES TOO! OLDER GAME. A gentle, relaxing game with lots and lots of outdoors and beauty, farmland, lakes, trees, log cabins, woods, and rivers. Summon deceased relatives who lived during different times to find out WHO in your family got cursed, and WHY, because it is affecting you to the present day! The first opening scenes are not a good representative of what you get in this game. What follows are BEAUTIFUL and gorgeous farm lands on a lake, then a cemetery in the wilderness, then woodland and river. But you should know straight away that this game does not have pin-sharp graphics if that’s what you are looking for. The sheds, cabins and homes look authentic; you can really believe someone lives there. This game was so much fun to play for me. The style of the gameplay is very different and enjoyable because of the gentle pace. GRAPHICS: Edges are not pin sharp. Select “High Quality” from options if possible because enhanced lighting effects give the game a nicer, cozier look. Looked better on my computer full screen, but widescreen option was available. HOPS: Wordlists, but a few are hidden sometimes. You should know that with the hidden items, the mouse pointer does not change in any way to indicate their presence. So you must click on things where you guess it might be logically hidden OR use the Hint. Hint recharges in 45 seconds PUZZLES: I think there were almost as many as the HOPS. Mixed bag. SOUNDS: Music and Sound. The sound has all the appropriate sounds you would expect in the wilds, and also that accompany your actions. HINT: 45 second interval. The hint WILL LEAD and circle items for you. Sometimes though, it just gives directional arrow options. DIFFICULTY LEVELS: MAP: NONE INVENTORY: NOT lockable JOURNAL: YES CHARACTERS: Your paternal line of past relatives. No voice-overs, no character movement apart from appearing to you. You read. Enjoyed it very much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE SHAMAN PREDICTS A GREAT OLDER GAME! An older 2010 game of which I definitely appreciate versus the newer razzamatazz and often either boring or predictable games of today. Stands on it's own merit minus the sparkle with an eerie atmosphere and super hand-drawn artwork. Game starts out slow to get accustomed to the pace and the developers' rhythm--like re-learning an old dance style. Plays like an adventure game with just enough hidden objects and puzzles ranging from easy to challenging. Scenes and HOS are playable, yet with a darker background which lends believability to the ominous plot. The men in your family including you are CURSED with an untimely short life and you have little time left to try and dig back into your ancestry to end this generational curse. Hint is very helpful and with some running as no map. Nothing tedious. A relaxing and immersive storyline that has never been told before. Some, yet, not many keys to find--which usually drives me bonkers. Thoroughly enjoyed this older game. Thank you Devs and BFG. Enjoy! Mama Mia

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpectedly good, well planned game. An excellent example of a game that shows how good it can be it the developers spend time in planning a good game as opposed to throwing a lot of bling at you. This seems like an old fashioned FROG, but it is so well done you can't stop playing. Everything keeps you interested with just the right level of challenge - nothing is really too hard to find, yet nothing is too easy - it's just a great game. It's wonderful to find something different. I kept thinking, am I back in 2011? But this game is so good!! I finally stopped playing because it was 4 am and I had to get up in the am. Each level is nicely intricate and clear. I was happily surprised - I highly recommend this little gem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected, but very well done! This little game appeared to be a gem! I played it on Windows 8.1 and it played smoothly. You have to really search for objects, but that was fun! I also enjoyed the storyline. Very nice to help lifting a curse that affected generations. Good work devs! I enjoyed every minute of this game and I'm looking forward to a next!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thoroughly Enjoyed It! I just finished playing this game. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had trouble with the mini games with the runes but all in all it was a great game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRAVO!! EXCELLENT!! I played it nearly nonstop - did housework when the guilt factor played its nasty hand - and my roommate even jumped in. He NEVER plays these games. I strongly recommend this one to everybody. Shoulda' been a Collector's Edition. TELL THE DEV WE WANT MORE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Generally, I love collector Editions because they are better constructed, fun to play, great graphics and wonderful story line. Warlock matches the Collector Editions in every way. I loved the game, the graphics, the story line, the transitions between points were easy and the whole thing is first class. I highly recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DON'T MISS THIS SLEEPER Great game, not your usual hunt and peck, has a bit of everything and then some. As usual I enjoy a "thinking man's game" - even though I am a woman. This is one of those games that is different and I had fun playing it. Give it a shot.
