Knight Solitaire 2 3.1 5 12 12
Better Than The Original Knight Solitaire I always know it's an entertaining game when I'm so engrossed that I forget it's only an hour demo, and it surprises me when the demo ends abruptly! This game isn't an easy breezy game either, there are numerous cards to be removed from the deck and most of the gold cards are at the bottom of those piles. The object of this solitaire game is to play cards from the board onto the deck card, either one higher or one lower regardless of suit. There are special gold cards that must all be removed in order to win, you will automatically win the hand if all gold cards are removed, even if other cards remain. Some of the cards have special bonuses and are worth more points. There is a meter that fills each time you make large chains of at least 6 cards in a row. Once the meter fills up to the golden apple, you win that jackpot amount. You will start out the game in a tutorial mode, in Squire Mode which allows you to replay any level. Once you complete the brief tutorial, you can switch to Knight Mode which only allows you to replay the entire pack. You can purchase bonuses in the shop such as a Joker which is a wild card, Shuffle which puts all the cards back into the deck and redeals new cards, or a Mulligan which allows you to undo the last move including using a bonus. You can go into options and choose from 9 different card backgrounds and 3 styles of face cards. I appreciated the fact that this game seemed to be a tad bit difficult, what's the fun if every hand is a winner like some solitaire games out there, enjoy! January 14, 2015
I loved the first one and I love this one! Great Solitare game! This is a great game that isn't over in a short time. I highly recommend this game January 14, 2015
Part two not required If there is any difference between this game and the first one, I cannot find it. It is, in my opinion, exactly the same as Knight Solitaire, which I do enjoy...but why would I want to buy it twice? Come on devs....at least change the backgrounds or something. I can't understand why some reviewers give everything 5 stars...that is just not helpful! I would only recommend this game to those who have not purchased the first edition. January 15, 2015
Little Change From First Instalment As far as I could see, there is very little that has changed from the first instalment of this game. Basically just a rehash, with same music, cards, sounds etc. If there was any change in the story, what there is of it, I didn't really notice. 2 and a half stars. Barely an Ok solitaire game. A Twin to Knight Solitaire First if you have any solitaire games from 8Floor the program is basic the same. Nothing new to this game but honestly it's the same as Knight Solitaire (if you have it). I have the Christmas one that they did and I like that better. It's becoming redundant with these games. I do like the graphics but the music came from the Christmas version. I would recommend the first one. Please try this out for yourself. IF you like and want to spend the money then by all means get it but for me even though I like the graphics I would rather save my money for something better. I wished that they had another pick when they asked if you recommend this game. If it had yes, no or maybe I'll tell you maybe. But the only two things is either yes or no then no. If you have the first one there's no reason why you should get this one. It's one and the same the only difference is the graphic. January 15, 2015
Just Another Solitaire Game.... There's nothing new or challenging about this Solitaire game. I played one full tournament and decided it wasn't for me. There are many more enjoyable Solitaire games out there, ones with story lines and challenges which this one doesn't appear to have. January 14, 2015
Same old same old I love solitaire. I don't want to play the same game over and over, though, and 8Floor just puts out the same game over and over. All of their solitaire games start out with the same exact hand of solitaire. I know what is under each and every card. I could play it in my sleep if I wanted to. There are not many differences after that initial game either. They just seem to change the order of the hands, but that's about it. The music is nice in this. It's nice in all of their games. The backgrounds are static but well drawn. I'm just tired of the same games over and over. It's the same with their fill and cross games. Before I give 8Floor any more money, they're going to have to put out some new solitaire hands, not the same ones with different music and different backgrounds. I also don't like it that some rounds are impossible to get through without quite a few wild cards. In order to get through, I have to start from the beginning and play the same rounds several times in order to build up my cash or wild cards. It gets old really fast. Maybe they've gone as far as they can with these. I hope not, because I really do love solitaire. Solitaire is the game I turn to when I want to relax. Hopefully, their next game will break the mold. Definitely NOT my Knight in Shining Armor I LOVE solitaire games. But, this one was so far below par I could not enjoy it. The graphics were terrible. The game board was dark. And, even though you had the option to change the card faces AND backs, they were difficult to see if you are older or don't have perfect vision, which is a huge deal for me. It's typical high/low solitaire but you have to get a perfect game (a score of 10) in order to pass on to the next level. Each "level" has 10 "sub-levels" and playing it is similar to playing a game of bowling, IMO. I liked the game .... it was ok .... until I played a PERFECT game and had no choice to "continue" but HAD to "replay" the hand. I didn't understand it. There is an annoying tutorial ..... you DO have the option to stop it during game play. Maybe I was just having a bad day but I really didn't find any entertainment value in this game. Even though it will not be a purchase for me, I will recommend it because I think everyone should play the demo and see if it's for you. It's just NOT my knight in shining armor. ENJOY! Yet Another Boring Solitaire !! This being said, why does Big Fish have so few really good solitaire games? I own Chronicles of Emerland which is superior and 1/2 doz other great ones but still a notch under Emerland. Maybe those games have set too high a standard !Lots of solitaire lovers out here, developers, who are eager to purchase good games. There was minimal challenge, a few bonuses that really didn't help all that much and like the other 2 knight solitaires a serious lack of visuals & incentives to keep it interesting and challenging. According to the exciting game description that entices many of us to purchase, Knight Solitaire 2 should have delivered much more than it did. However, I do realize that this game will provide lots of fun for so many other gamers...just not for me. September 28, 2016
Identical to the Christmas Solitaire Ha! I am still playing the Solitaire Game- Christmas by the same company. The very first layout of Knight Solitaire 2 is identical to the Christmas game down to the face-up cards. January 15, 2015
