Good collapse game! This game with specific Asian influence, nice artwork and sound. Very good for intermediate players, not for experts. More relaxed then challenging. December 30, 2014
I Like This! I know some reviewers don't like this game, but I disagree with them - it's relaxing (so far, anyway), the graphics, while not sophisticated, are clean and bright, the instructions are very clear, and there's variation in the gameplay. Go ahead - try it. December 29, 2014
Not Very Legendary The Ancient Chaos is devouring the House of Gods, even the all-seeing Goddess of Wind can't stop him! Everything will turn to stone if a savior doesn't come soon, this savior will have the artifact in hand so it's now up to you (with a little help from the Goddess of Wind) to find the ancient artifact and save the world! This is a Match game that requires you to match groups of 2 or more identical artifacts by simply clicking on the group, no need to swap any tiles. This game says that the colors are vibrant yet in my opinion I found the artifact gems to be uninteresting and the graphics look like something from the flintstones era. You will need to complete the game within a specific amount of moves with goals such as making matches on all green cells or matches to turn all cells into stone. The goal is to receive 3 golden stars, but I found this difficult to achieve on some levels because you just couldn't get enough tiles to make large matches. If you run out of moves, you will get the option to use your points to continue the same game with extra moves, but I found it better to just replay the level with a whole new set of tiles. There are bonuses that will appear on the board when you make large matches, and as you progress, you will be given the option to purchase bonuses such as the White Tiger Whirlwind which destroys random tiles, or Pan's Feather which adds 5 additional moves to that level. This is an okay game, but not my cup of tea, I prefer Match 3 games where you swap tiles to make matches, enjoy! December 29, 2014
Better Than It First Looked When I opened this game and saw it was another from 8 Floor Games, I was not expecting much different from previous offerings, and especially so when I saw the lack-lustre and gaudy-coloured tile designs. However, I persevered with it, and by the end of the demo hour, I was actually quite liking the game. Dev has deviated a little from previous games, and here has offered a match 3 of the 'group' type, whereby you match a group of two or more tiles instead of swapping them. There are various obstacles you have to remove by either matching tiles beside them or over them, and you have to complete these tasks in a given number of moves. Tiles can be matched whilst others are still falling...a plus. You play for a score as well as trying to obtain 3 Stars. If you achieve all the tasks required, you are awarded 3 stars. The score you achieve equates to a certain number of 'tokens'. e.g. if you score 30,000 points, you receive 30 tokens. These tokens are then used to 'buy' 5 extra moves at the end of a level if you run out of moves, and think you can complete the level by doing so. This game is not timed as such, but the time factor may possibly be incorporated within the 'star' rating. Sharp cartoon-style graphics with bright colours. As I said above, the tile designs and colours left a bit to be desired, but I found as I played the game, this did not really matter, as more-detailed designs would probably not help the actual type of game play. Sound effects and music must have been Ok, as I didn't turn them off. Storyline? In a Match 3 game, storyline is never really important in my opinion, and this one is no exception. So, after negative first impressions, I would suggest you play the demo and see for yourself. You may just like this one! December 29, 2014
Strategy? Match 3? Uh....Hmmmm. So, Chaos (a dragon) has destroyed the abode of the gods. Now what? Don't know because that's where the story starts ..... and ends. The graphics are ok ... in that they just sit there and do nothing. The music is ok but the snapping sound when you make groups of 2 or more is annoying. The gist of the game is to complete a level by making groups of 2 or more like colors. You get bonuses in the form of bombs and super-bombs by making mega-groups, etc. You have "goals" to achieve to complete each level. The first few levels, I had to get a numeric goal - i.e., get 5,000 points. No probs. The next group of levels I played, I had to break tiles (i.e., 35 or 48) also by making groups. No probs here either. What's the rub? You only have "x" number of moves to do this in, and for the first 10 levels or so, it's pretty easy. Fail a level? Uh oh! What do I do????? Replay the level OR purchase 5 extra moves. It just seems you cannot lose. The game is boring, lacks entertainment value, isn't really a group matching game nor a strategy game .... or maybe it's both. Regardless, the snapping game me such a headache I last exactly 17 levels and 32 minutes. Enough for me, IMO, to write a quickie review. Not a purchase for me, but please feel free to give it a try .... just watch out for the awful snapping noise. ENJOY! December 29, 2014
childrens level game O! Dear...not at all what I expected. Ok for children but even they would get bored. Just an awful game, poor graphics, turned off music in the end. I got through many levels but due to losing interest finished after 30 mins. Not challenging enough. December 29, 2014
A No for me I usually like Match-3 games, so I gave this one a whirl, but I don't care for it. Uninspiring graphics, especially the tiles. Also, not much in the way of progression. And most of all, I just don't like games that require you to only use so many moves on a level. That is worse than being timed, and I don't like being timed. :( February 18, 2015
Wonderfully Colorful I wanted to like this game but I could not figure out the what's and/or whys of it. Too frustrating to be fun. January 31, 2015
A pretty M3 but not for me After playing 12 minutes of this M3 I was convinced that I could not continue playing it. It lacked anything to hold my interest, and I do enjoy M3 games. This game was simply too sweet for me. Easy, but not the switch gems type of M3 which I usually play, rather this is the gathering of like gems of one color. That style of play does not interest me. Bleah My first thought when I saw this game was that it looked like a kids game. It's not very hard, the graphics are very juvenile, and there really isn't much of a story since it's only mentioned at the very beginning. If you don't complete a level, you can "buy" more moves OR you can simply replay it without losing a life or giving up your tokens. December 30, 2014
